Watching these highlights you can see the evolution of his game. He was such a speed demon when he was younger and now he is so much more cerebral with point construction. Nadal is my goat for sure.
Yes Novak may end with highest number of Grand slams but there won’t be another Rafael Nadal…the injuries, the comebacks, the fighter, the warrior…the guy has missed 11 majors because of injuries!!!!….

I don't know how can people compare alcaraz with him. I mean he was just fabulous at the age of 18-19 . He was ridiculous. He is fabulous right now also. He cannot be compared with anyone
@Novak Believer Hrabryi lmao you're really commenting this on a video about Nadal, even after Nadal just won his 22nd Major title, beating Djokovic along the way.
And still your first Wimbledon win still feels the greatest, that match against Federer was something I can't even explain. God I cried for hours, such a special player that won't ever be matched.
A lot of comparisons have been made about Alcaraz and 18 year old Nadal. However, looking at these clips and his success, it is CLEAR that Nadal was miles above Alcaraz at the same age. He looks even faster than Alcaraz. Not hating on Carlos btw, I think he will be a legend in the future barring injuries.
Nadal's combination of otherworldly talent/achievements, charisma, humility and class will be very hard, if not impossible, to happen again. I was a Federer fan (still am, but Nadal comes first😀) until I saw Nadal play and, even more importantly, saw how he carried himself on court and in interviews/press conferences. He was a very intriguing combination of a fierce, supremely talented fighter on court and a self-effacing, soft-spoken and thoughtful guy off of it. Even with his limited english you could tell he was wise beyond his years and he never put a word wrong, which is exceedingly rare for a very young man like he was at the time. Over the years and as he collected accolades and trophies, he remained exactly the same with zero signs that any of his unprecedented success got to his head. This, more than anything else, is what's so unique about Nadal; a guy who some justifiably consider the best athlete in any sport, let alone tennis, yet who genuinely thinks of himself as 'normal' and, therefore, believes anyone else can do what he did! It was a privilege watching Nadal on and off the court over the years, and I do hope he'll find a way to deal with his foot injury so that we continue to watch him for more years still, fingers crossed.
Nadal 2006: Federer is the greatest in "Sportivity". 2007: My body is perfect, no. Physically speaking. 2008: I feel like No 2, because I'm No 2. 2009: The guy was really nice.
