do you have to save it to the cloud immediately, or can you store it locally on the iPad and upload later (let's say you don't have access to the network you're surveying, and don't want to upload a massive survey over hotspot)? Are all the same features available in Ekahau pro with the file once it's uploaded (e.g., Merge)?
You’re able to save projects locally to your iPad and sync them later. Once you open it up with your fully licensed PC/Mac you have full feature access. They have a new license Measure Plus that is a lite version of the regular licenses for field techs who will do not do the deeper analysis. I’ll be testing that version out soon.
Really depends where you are starting from. If you are looking into getting into the RF field, I would recommend the networking basics like Network+ & CCNA certs followed by WiFi-specific certs line CWNA & CWDP. Next, find a company that specializes in WiFi and start in their support teams and work your way up to field services.
Hey, thanks for this video! Information still applies to the Sidekick 2!
