Ivy Rose will always be one of my favorite areas because it felt like a resurrection for the community. Much love to you Bdubs, you raised some of us at times.
Was Minecraft really on a downward trend back then? I believe it was midway through Season 5 when Bdubs announced that he would be stepping away from RUclips for a while, around August 2017. That's just under a year before the release of Update Aquatic, which in my experience seemed to bring a lot of people back to the game. It also kickstarted the recent trend of really strong yearly updates, with the subsequent Village & Pillage, Nether, and now Caves & Cliffs Updates each making their own similarly massive changes to world generation and other aspects of the game. Obviously if this wasn't your experience than that's entirely valid and I don't mean to discount it.

When Bdubs said that interiors don’t have any “wow” moments I remembered how amazed I was at his Hermitcraft S6 castle interior, it looked so realistic and generally had this European castle feel to it
Music at the end nearly had me tearing up, it's crazy to think I've watched this series since I was a child. Thank you for the years of fun bdubs and I look forward to what the future has in store!
Moving forward I would love to see more of that old school more calm Bdubs for this series. I love the high energy for hermit craft, but I think this series has always given me more of a relaxing painting vibe. Long live building with BdoubleO100! Here’s to another 10 years
Bonkers how long I've been watching you. Lots of memories on that world. By the way, I feel like you weren't lazy in the past necessarily- it's easy to forget how slow we were without elytra or shulker boxes!!
Man the music at the end really took me back, gave me some gooseys! You are an inspiration! Makes me want to jump back into minecraft into a new 1.18 world. Excited to see your new season.
I came across all the hermits around 2 years ago, maybe even less. That’s when I found Bdubs. So I haven’t seen any episodes of Building With Bdubs, but I will say, this gave me SO MUCH inspiration. And despite Bdubs saying a lot of the things are old and can be improved, I really really loved them. Can’t wait to build some of these things in my own way!
I'm a "newer" follower, having started watching hermitcraft with grian joining in s6. Real cool to see such an old world, and what you did with minecraft depending on how it was back then. A season 3 in 1.18? Wow. That sounds cool.
It makes me laugh that while you're going through, cringing at some of your less-than-perfect older builds, I'm just sitting here going "wow! that's amazing! wish I could do that!" to every single thing Can't wait for season 3!
Wow, what a trip. All the memories, all the nostalgia, and the OG music at the end! So many little untold stories and moments behind every creation, this final tour could have been 10 hours long. Just going back through this world made me realize how attached I’ve always been to it and your channel as a whole. Seeing you grow in and outside the game was the real journey for me, cause I grew up with you. Thank you through the good times, the bad times, and all the inspiration in between. So glad to know the genuine, heartwarming, Bob Ross Bdubs that I always admired is back in action, and ready to start it all over again. Love ya to death, and I’ll see ya in the next… Episode!
You're the first youtuber I ever watched, I fell in love with your personality and how well you could build in this block game. A great way to end the season looking forward to whats next!
Same, he wasnt the first, but I still remember him as one of the youtubers i watched when I could only acess youtube through a minecraft PE skin app. (RUclips app was borked on my ipad and i was too 10 years old to figure out how to fix it.)
BDubs' content has this sort of happiness to it... I'm not sure how to explain it, but any video of his just makes me happier... so seeing a 1hr+ video got me super happy lol
I hope interiors aren’t too bad for viewership - they’re one of the most impressive parts of a build, to me! Adding interiors adds a whole new level of immersion that you can’t get with just façades.
This is so nostalgic oh my god, I remember I first started watching this series when I was like 16. It’s insane to see how far the world has come. My favourite area has gotta be the acacia canyon with the hot air balloons! Thanks for all the inspiration over the years
Regarding large biomes: it's possible to make them slightly smaller, with customized worlds. But now you have to access the setting through datapacks. (You might have to ask Xisuma or someone else like that for details.) If the large biomes were a bit smaller, I think it would be a bit more manageable. I'd love to see a large biomes for season 3.
I member when I first got into Minecraft years and years ago just binge watching basically every episode of this world starting on top of that "mountain" which seems more like a hill with 1.18 now.
The music at the end of the video literally gave me chills. I've been watching Bdubs since BEFORE HE WAS MARRIED!! This episode was truly a journey back in time and helped me re-live so many great years :'). During a truly difficult year that has been 2021, I have one thing to say to BDUBS....thank you...for everything.
That dirt house tutorial, meme or not, was the first video I ever saw of yours and I've been a hooked ever since. I remember going into a world and copying that build block for block. So glad we get to see this world one last time. Love ya Bdubs.
This series is so nostalgic to me. I remember coming home from middle school and being so excited to watch the newest Building with Bdubs episode. A lot has changed over the years. I'm looking forward to seeing what you create in Season 3. (Also hearing that song at the end made me tear up a bit)
About towards the end. I love Large Biomes~ My favourite thing is just being able to sit in one space and feel immersed in the world, and you get much larger beaches as well. In the normal world generation you can get some really disorienting combos where you get deserts on extreme hills on plains on dark oak forests, all a stone's toss away from each other
I've only started watching you start of Hermitcraft season 8 and boy oh boy am I excited to follow season 3 of this series ^^ watching this is so cool, it's like seeing all your progress in one incredible world
I remember when you first started on the Cliff Village and it’s still my favorite area you’ve built in this world. It’s a shame you didn’t have the best time in that area, but I also cannot build in super mountainous areas so I understand. I also loved the farm you built when horses were first introduced!
When the last world tour happened 3-4 years ago, I pretty much took that world and made it my primary place to visit when I wanted to spend some time relaxing. I finished the Jungle village, expanded Eden into a proper city, and turned the Cliff Area into a city with a narrative. The idea was that Eden became a place with a massive nether portal, so its exports were nether items. The Cliff City was a trade hub with the city protected inside the mountain area from raiders. I also connected all the cities and areas with roads and bridges, up to and including the McGee Ranch which was a massive project. I am very much looking forward to doing that again with this updated version. I've even thought about recording some of it. Maybe calling it 'Building After BdoubleO'.
That's sick man! RUclipsrs are always like you can finish this part yourself if you want in world tours and I would have never thought someone actually did it.
I have this vivid memory of bdubs walking down his mountain, way before it looked anything like this, talking about his life. He was talking about his nieces and/or nephews and about not wanting children (yet). Fast forward ten years and we have been able to enjoy all these special events together with the man himself! Sometimes I just sit and think about that. I’m excited for the new world and what memories it will create!
It has been too long!! I am so happy to see this world one last time! Bdubs, you always habe been my greatest building advisor, I took so many many ideas for my buildings from yoir creations and I learned so much from you. Really, really thank you. Pandaros Excelsior
I started watching bdubs in 9th grade (ethos lab era) I have a 5 year old now and watch the paw patrol stuff with her (and I ripped off the tower and she loves it) here’s to all the nights I fell asleep watching bdubs dodge creepers and build amazing areas! So much gratitude and inspiration!
I've watched this series since just before the start of season 2, I've got a million memories of this world and I am SO EXCITED you are going to be starting a new one! As much as I love this world, I think the 1.18 generation is going to do wonders for your creativity. I've been itching for more Building with Bdubs content, as good as your multiplayer series' are for building your channel and connecting with the community, I selfishly await every episode of this series. My one piece of advice for the new world would be avoid Large Biomes. You love building paths and POIs between your themed villages, but there's only so many farms and towers you can build in a single biome on the way to the next one before it gets repetitive, and trying to find specific biomes for specific purposes in a Large Biomes world, as you've said, is a huge pain. I think with the new generation and biome blending, you will get a lot of the continuity you are looking for with (new) vanilla generation. Just my two cents as a longtime viewer. Thanks for the years of entertainment and inspiration, Bdubs!
I struggle with poor memory a lot and watching this gave me flashbacks from my childhood I didn’t know I still remembered so thank you for that amazing moment Bdubs. Actually shed some tears. You can tell how much this world meant to you and it meant so much to many of us fans as well, can’t wait to see what you build in the amazing new 1.18 terrain generation.
You know most people don't appreciate how much inspiration this series has given to so many people including myself to build so pretty back in the day, with modern HermitCraft videos you barely get to have those amazing kingdoms all hand made by our beloved bdubs, and I sourced so much inspiration from this series like the Japanese village, I have a very similar inspired building standing in my world up to this day! I love how you feel everything was small but that exactly taught me how to do interiors well! Snow den also inspired me alot to build in a wintery theme, the desert village got me wanting to build in a desert Oasis kind of style and the paths along the way is something I carry on to this day. My biggest inspiration though that has yet to come alive was the town of Ivy Rose, I loved the Tuscan bulding style you've done it and I wanted to recreate it for so long. I'm gonna miss this series a lot Bdubs, all the stories you've told us along the way, like the time you were talking through out your sleep to Nicole saying something like "I put my poop my on my head" or something like that , that episode is still the most hilarious episode I have ever watched on RUclips. I cant wait for the new season bdubs, keep up the good work and thank you for all the good memories and moments you've given us! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
😱😢 I feel complete. I’ve been watching this series for years. You and Keralis inspired me and my building so much over the past 8 years. Thank you so much for all the memories 🥺
I think the dirt village could be a really cool addition to the game for villages that spawn in hilly biomes, and the houses ended up kind of like hobbit holes. Especially if they were rare, or even spawned a special villager. Maybe the cartographer could sell you a map to the dirt village to find him
Started watching this series back when it started, thank you for all the entertainment and memories your content has given me. Can’t wait for more in the future.
Started watching bdubs in high school and now I'm about to finish my PhD. Crazy to think how long bdub's content has been a part of my life. I'm sure lots of you all watching have a similar sentiment. So much gratitude for all your amazing work throughout the years, bdubs!
the memories got me all emotional. so many wonderful years all came flooding back at once! bdubs, I cannot tell you how much this series has meant to me. I began watching you when I was still in school and now I've gone through university and have begun a career in the arts. So much of my outlook on art and creativity has come from this series. Watching you grow and develop your own artistic abilities had some long lasting impressions on me. it's crazy to see how far your building has come. not only that, but you would often talk about your personal life in this series and try your best to be a good influence and give good life lessons and advice. The passing of Ivy Rose happened to coincide with the lowest point in my own life. hearing you talk about what you were going through really did have a positive impact on me and the things you said regarding your own grief are lessons that I often still reflect on and has influenced the advice I've given to other people to help them through their own tough times. I really hope that you know just how many peoples lives you've touched for the better with your charm, creativity and humour. I am extremely grateful for this series and your channel as a whole. Loving what you're doing on Hermitcraft and I am convinced that Building with BdoubleO series 3 will be your best work yet. Love you Uncle Bdubs!
I can’t believe that we are actually getting a conclusion to season 2! We love you Bdubs! Been with you since episode 10 of season 1 (and 3 different RUclips accounts)
I've been rewatching old episodes of s2 when WellsGlazes takes over Timberstone to get me through finals and hectic workdays. I love this series and I'm shocked and ecstatic it's coming back - I love the way you weave stories and culture into areas and between them. 💕 looking forward to what's next!
Grew up with this series, insane to be watching this over eight years later… Emotional watching this and remembering all the times after school watching this world being built. Had to watch it when I saw it on the recommended
Man, this took me back. I watched the whole thing bc it feels like i have been here most of the time (at least since the very beginning of timberstone castle) and I was like "oh yeah I remember watching this being built" every five minutes or so. This series was something I aimed to watch as soon as it came out throughout high school and college. Can't wait to see what you do with season 3. I'm so exited!
22:27 was so funny. Aw Bdubs you have such a radiant personality! Thank you for blessing us with your content. Btw, your builds from years ago are better than mine now 😂
28:45 Bdubs your 'real estate HQ' that you built in the whole land selling war with Scar was a really nice and detailed build with good flow to all the detail. One of my favorites.
Bdubs, for your next world, would you ever consider using a resource pack that turns double-slab blocks into a entirely unique texture? Like having a double-sandstone-slab show as sandstone bricks as opposed to being identical to normal sandstone blocks?
Watching you grow as a builder has provided me the most incredible blueprint for artistic growth in my own field. The way you kept branching out, and kept asking yourself more creative questions, going from the spawn village to timberstone to now, where you're probably the best rustic builder (if thats the term you prefer) in MC content creation. The way you have come to think about this game has influenced the way I think about my art, so thank you. Here's to season 3! (large biomes is such a good idea btw stealing that too xD )
The amount of memories that came back, just incredibly. And man did I miss that music on the end of this video! I joined this channel during the first buildings of the first village and I have watched every episode ever since. I always liked it and want to thank you for all the good times. Keep up the good work and I am excited for the next season.
I found you at the beginning of 1.6 when horses were added. I have a lot of memories of listening to you tell stories about your life. Father's day stories. I was gonna keep going but I started crying when the outro song played. Wow. That song hit hard. Please keep that.
So many memories seeing you walking down those paths again. I was just out of Highschool when I started watching and now I'm pushing 30, still enjoying everything you create. Thanks for everything over the years, Bdubs. Your content continues to get better and better, can't wait for season 3! Here's to another 10!
Wow! This brings up so many memories! I've been following you for like... 6 years now? But even after so much time, some episodes are crazy clear in my head! Like in 8:40, when you're building the path and after some feedback, you kept saying again and again that you need to do it in the path of least resistance, so it looks more real and natural! Great memories, looking forward for season 3!!!
This takes me back! Eden in particular, I remember seeing the layered glass technique for the first time watching Bdubs all those years ago. So surreal that it's something still used by so many today, love your videos!
This world is just so beautiful! Even the unfinished pieces and especially the noisy castle area. It all tells the story of BDubs becoming the amazing bdubs you are now. I've been fighting the sleep that comes from watching something relaxing while watching this video. A dangerous game considering i have to pick up my kiddo at school soon lol i want to add that something I've learned from you since watching you in HCS7 is finding different uses for a unexpected blocks and learning about grading scales.
Such a nostalgic video. Both happy and sad memories, especially the song at the end, beautiful touch. I actually paused the video when you were talking about how you were lazy back then, logged onto my Minecraft world and fixed my starter house detailing, I was being lazy too! You've been such an inspiration for so many people, Bdubs. I can't wait to see what you do next!
I have some oddly specific memories of watching you build so many of these places and what was going on in my life at that time. Amazing world, man. Can't wait to see what's coming in the future.
I’m 20, played Minecraft since I was in grade 2.. so around 9 or so.. I started really honing in on this game and the community during hermit craft 4, and just simply blew my mind and completely changed the game for me… I quickly latched onto your single player world, and although i definitely never spent as much time as most gamers on my game, I learned sooo much and spent countless Friday nights playing Minecraft with you.. mainly timber stone, it’s a very very special place to me, I sort of learned that busy build style, and over the years continued to hone and refine that ultra detail style, it takes an insanely long time for me to finish my projects. But ~4 years into my single player world, I can take a walk around my kingdom in pride, nostalgia, and simply bliss, so I guess I just want to say thanks man (Im a carpenter, much like how you were when you started)
Ps: quick note, I also loved that little village between timber stone and ivy rose aswell, I built my own spin-off of that type of village, except they were poor miners, essentially pushed into the unwanted land by the farmers, politicians and 1st class population of my kingdom., it turned out quite nice!
Man, it's kind of nutty to think I've been watching Bdubs for...nearly ten years. Time really does fly, and with how much this game has changed as well, it makes sense to start over. I'm looking forward to what Bdubs has planned for the future.
I've been watching this series since 2014. very thankful you are giving it a proper send-off after all this time! I'm going to miss this world a lot but look forward to what lies ahead in the new world
By far the best series on RUclips for me. Been here a long time and seeing all the older builds has brought a huge wave of nostalgia back. The ravine houses, I remember all the villagers just hanging around the same few rooms, that time you went to an ocean temple and lost all your gear instantly and never went back, seeing the progresion of the gate house for timberstone and being astounded at the technique. This series is phenominal and helped me become a builder.
I started watching this series religiously back in middle school when Juicetra mentioned some Minecraft RUclipsr he befriended. Watched and played along side in my own world for years. Probably stopped playing/watching as much sometime between the Bountiful and Combat updates. Just recently started a realm with some old friends for 1.18 and was watching some Etho videos for the first time in years and the RUclips algorithm blessed me with this on my own homepage. It was awesome and emotional getting to experience all the new and old. Definitely tuning in to the next season. It seems you never quit Minecraft, you just take long breaks.
wow that outro music, I used to watch this series when it started. Then I stopped and started watching Bdubs again about two years ago. But I had totally forgotten that outro song, having that weird nostalgia feeling. I'm not a kid anymore, but I do enjoy watching Minecraft videos, love to see how creative people can do different things the game. Excited to see what Bdubs does in S3, I think for me at least having no texture pack makes the buildings a lot more interesting since I can try to emulate or be inspired when I play the game myself. :-)
damn the ending music had a spot in my brain I didn't know existed. I remember when you were talking about your day job, I was just a kid watching back then but it's cool to see how you've grown and journeyed thru life, thanks for a lot of good memories.. ive never even played minecraft lol i just found you relaxing and funny as a kid and i guess still to this day is nice to throw on an episode before bed
so much nostalgia, im so proud of u bdubs. i remember watching u create timberstone and thinking u were the absolute height of building talent and that it couldn't possibly get better but u have outdone urself so much since then. im beyond proud to be a longtime fan. i cant wait for season 3!!
Watching and that ending, the emotions phew. Thank you for all years Bdubs! You’re the original minecrafter for me and always will be. Here’s to another 10 years. Mmmmhmmmm
Hey Bdubs, loved Building With BdoubleO for a long time; it's been a huge inspiration over the years. I'm super excited at the prospect of a season 3! I hope _some_ of the resource pack stuff stays, because that really set this series apart. I especially like the bushy leaves, they look _so_ much better than vanilla! Block variations too. I wish Mojang would take a leaf from you lol!
YES BUILDING WITH BDUBS SEASON THREEEE HYPE!!!! This series was a big part of my teenage years. The views, the lore, the consistent immersion, and even the mentions of real-life architectural influences are all part of what first attracted me to your videos. I’m so happy to see you’ll be bringing us another iteration on this wonderful project!
I started watching Bdubs when I was in middle school back in 2013. The first video I watched was a little Lets Build featuring our good ol' pal Wells Glazes. Since then I've followed the Building with Bdubs off and on, and now more recently, the latest Hermitcraft Seasons. Bdubs, your videos are a highlight of my day as well as a warm constant over the last 8 years of my life. The nostalgia alone I received from this video was equivalent to wrapping myself up in a blanket with hot chocolate on a cold, rainy day and playing Minecraft back in 2013. Thank you for all that you do.
BDubs knew just what he was doing posting this. Literally brought back my memories from like middle school. I missed the series when it stopped and I’m super excited to think we might get a season 3 after all this time.
This series is what got me into minecraft. The "busy" design of the Lion castle area I tried implementing in an arena in my own survival series. Such wonderful times were had, I just didnt know it then.
As someone who enjoys doing the interior of builds i actually do have wow moments when builders show off interiors whenever I see a new idea.. which is fairly often between hermitcraft and lets plays :)
i really like your builds, you can make even the smallest of spaces feel alive and pretty. i learn a lot from the palette that you use that even the blocks i wouldnt think of using becomes part of a beautiful build. the custom trees also really make a big difference it’s so amazing.
Ive been watching since the Attack of the B Team days, and I remember watching you start most of these areas and being excited for each one and seeing them grow, and watching you grow as a builder too BDubs! And it's thanks to this series that I learned so much and was able to find my own building style too! Its always sad to say goodbye, and there are so many memories in this world

speaking of, what happen to bdubs 3rd daughter, ik she died (sorry for your lost bdubs) but what happen and sorry if this sounds rude
@@diamondapocalypse5019She was born with dysfunction or something, and died very shortly after birth
It makes me laugh that while you're going through, cringing at some of your less-than-perfect older builds, I'm just sitting here going "wow! that's amazing! wish I could do that!" to every single thing
Can't wait for season 3!
Yeah same with me
Wow, what a trip.
The music at the end SENT ME 🥲😭 it’s been a great decade with you bdubs, I can’t believe how much you’ve changed my life.
I hope interiors aren’t too bad for viewership - they’re one of the most impressive parts of a build, to me! Adding interiors adds a whole new level of immersion that you can’t get with just façades.
Wow I'm amazed at how much of this I remember watching you build. The years fly by man, that's wild. Looking forward to your future work Bdubs!
This is so nostalgic oh my god, I remember I first started watching this series when I was like 16. It’s insane to see how far the world has come. My favourite area has gotta be the acacia canyon with the hot air balloons! Thanks for all the inspiration over the years
I've been rewatching season 2 recently so I am thrilled to get the world download and to know there will be a season 3. Thank you Bdubs!
I literally fist pumped when you said "sneak peak for season 3" Im super excited! Love you bdubs!
31:32 “Home of Mr. Smith”
Me: That’s me!
Bdubs: “Wow, real original”
Me: 🥲
Was it named for you?? Like as a Patreon thing? That would be cool
That outro just brought back such a nice feeling thank you for everything you've done Bdubs! Can't wait to see what you build next
About towards the end.
I love Large Biomes~ My favourite thing is just being able to sit in one space and feel immersed in the world, and you get much larger beaches as well.
In the normal world generation you can get some really disorienting combos where you get deserts on extreme hills on plains on dark oak forests, all a stone's toss away from each other
THIS WAS MY COMFORT SHOW DURING THE MOST STRESSFUL PARTS OF MY LIFE 🥺🥺🥺 thank you so much for all your work Bdubs
Mine too, my friend... Mine too.
Seeing him visit some of his old builds here gave me vivid flashbacks to the days I watched him build them.
Mine was this and the OOG and OOGE series!! Oh those were the days, have watched each full series like 5 seperate times now haha
This brings back such good memories. Cant wait for season 3!!!
Thanks for everything Bdubs. To 10 more years of building with you ❤
You know most people don't appreciate how much inspiration this series has given to so many people including myself to build so pretty back in the day, with modern HermitCraft videos you barely get to have those amazing kingdoms all hand made by our beloved bdubs, and I sourced so much inspiration from this series like the Japanese village, I have a very similar inspired building standing in my world up to this day!
I started when I was about 15 or 16. I'm now almost 26 and can't wait for season 3. The only youtuber I stick with to this day.
@@josipavukovic8570 Same. Him and Etho are my oldest subscriptions by at least 3 or 4 years.
i really really enjoyed this and the music at the end gave me boosegumps
Thanks for everything bdubs
the memories got me all emotional. so many wonderful years all came flooding back at once!
bdubs, I cannot tell you how much this series has meant to me.
THAT OLD SONG AHHHHHH you should definitely bring that back in the next season
Btw, your builds from years ago are better than mine now 😂
It’s crazy watching this now and seeing how much of my own world was inspired by this.
Like having a double-sandstone-slab show as sandstone bricks as opposed to being identical to normal sandstone blocks?
possibly!
Ingenius!
Dont say interiors aren't exciting !!! I am always curious and hyped about them when bdubs does it. So excited for the new season cant wait!
Honestly something I really love about your building is the small scale and how you squeeze everything in
So many memories seeing you walking down those paths again.
The nostalgia of the song at the end! AAAWWWW!
I'm going to miss this world a lot but look forward to what lies ahead in the new world
the outro really got me teary-eyed. thank you for this amazing series bdubs, and here's to the future of building with bdubs! :D
I can't believe we get to have a season 2 finale for this series! Amazing 💜 Can't wait for season 3
Man.. I really learnt most of my building with bdubs on this series. Thank you for all of it
wow that outro music, I used to watch this series when it started. :-)
Never clicked a video faster
damn the ending music had a spot in my brain I didn't know existed.
You don’t know how long I’ve waited for this moment
66 Weeks
so much nostalgia, im so proud of u bdubs. i remember watching u create timberstone and thinking u were the absolute height of building talent and that it couldn't possibly get better but u have outdone urself so much since then. im beyond proud to be a longtime fan. i cant wait for season 3!!
Watching and that ending, the emotions phew. Thank you for all years Bdubs! You’re the original minecrafter for me and always will be. Here’s to another 10 years. Mmmmhmmmm
ohhhh baby. this one is a long time coming, i cannot wait for what's to come. RIP to this gorgeous world, it's held a lot of memories for a lot of us.
#BringBackTheOldIntroSong for the first episode only of season 3 ;)
YES BUILDING WITH BDUBS SEASON THREEEE HYPE!!!!
This series was a big part of my teenage years. The views, the lore, the consistent immersion, and even the mentions of real-life architectural influences are all part of what first attracted me to your videos. I’m so happy to see you’ll be bringing us another iteration on this wonderful project!
Babe, wake up! Building with BDoubleO is back!!!
The memories ahhhhhhhh
That savanna M Biome was my absolute favorite place in this world. I’ve been watching for years and years and I still love that area so much.
