The most important and crucial part of the haircut is the head cut. Yorkie face grooming begins with eye cleaning, ear trimming. It's very important to wash the coat well for a great grooming yorkie face.
I always use a super cleansing shampoo for yorkie face hair and for washing the skin around the eyes Tropiclean SPA Tear Stain Facial Cleanser.

@@ms85jay grooming should start as soon as your puppy has their vaccinations. Get the pup used to it. Be sure to handle your yorkies paw pads, as most don't like them touched. Brush everyday, groom every 4 to 6 weeks. 6 pushing it. Enjoy your beautiful baby 💞💓💝

You can go to the salon with your puppy from 3 months after all vaccinations and have a hygienic haircut.
A full haircut for Yorkies is recommended after 10-12 months

Me too, I take my yorkie to a Master groomer and she still cant seem to give my yorkie the round face and drop coat legs I want.
@@dressersmith Really? This is one of the easiest styles to do on a yorkie and the fastest style to do...its my favorite,I love giving them bell bottoms just looks super cute especially when I get to add a cute bow or neck tie lol.....
Round face is my weakness. Not that any of Grooming my yorkie is strong. On year 10 and live nowhere near groomers. I've watched this more times than I can count and my baby is always so disappointed. 🤪 your skill is amazing.
It takes a really skilled groomer to style a drop-coat this good. Especially tiny yorkies. Impressive! 🐶

That's if your lucky to have a Yorkie that stands completely still. I do mobile grooming and we have never had a Yorkie that is so well behaved.

Grooming my Yorkie for probably a little over a year now after getting him groomed by several different people. He's not so easy to do however, he has curly hair and he will not sit still. I think you're doing excellent job I wish you lived by me I would bring him to you. I do okay on the body but not so good on the top of his head. His hair on top wants to fall down in his eyes from the middle of his head forward. I just don't know what to do with it, watching your videos to see if you have any examples of curly Yorkies.

I think you do a beautiful job grooming Yorkies, I noticed all the Yorkies on RUclips are straight hair Yorkies, I have a curly cotton coat Yorkie which is very challenging and I try to do it most of the time myself. Do you think you could post a video of a curly cotton coat Yorkie. Thank you

Can I ask what brand of scissors you use? They look very good quality and cut very accurate.
I usually use scissors during dog haircuts - thinning scissors yento prime, power working dragon. Straight scissors Geib black Perl, power working Ocean, rose line

Be careful on recueing a yorki, if you can get baby yorki will be the best.
Their type of actittude can be really bad they are very protective imagine a lion trap in a small body .. better if you raice a yorki and specially if you have kids.
All dogs have a different character, regardless of breed

I had my yorkie groomed about a month ago told them exactly what I wanted my fiance went back and picked him up he was almost completely bald from now on I think I will do this myself as not to have this happen again. I really wanted it trim back around his eyes is is already going back in his eyes again

I would love to see my yorkshire relaxed and calm like this cute one. My little one has always a bad time at Grommer and it’s getting worst and worst every time. The last three times I got her back from the shop and she had breathing difficulties, almost like she was getting struggled. Probably because she behaves like crazy and then they need to hold her somehow.
Is there any tips for this kind of misbehaves?
Lady im sorry to break it to you but your dog was abused. Dogs that are very reactive get held down by force and manhandled into submission which makes them more fearful and hate grooming even more.
My girl is 8 months old and there is no way she will stay still for me to trim her face like that any suggestions?
Be persistent and you should gradually introduce your Yorkie to grooming.

Beautiful grooming! Yorkie looks splendid. Only one thing is not right, the ears.
Yorkie ears - you just shave down the tip not the whole ear. The rest of the hair around the ear should be longer and more jagged not a precision cut. It should look natural and spray outwards. The Yorkie is not a Maltese. It is a hunting dog meant for hunting rats and a very athletic dog with high energy. This precision cut on ears looks like bows, not sporty with elfin tips. Also the face should be a bit less precision cut and more chunky - use the thinners to get that rough edge.
Rest of the body is superb, well done!
Music was annoying, I would have enjoyed hearing the natural sounds.
