Dennis Quaid looked incredible back in the 80's (and he still does)
and Dangerous liaisons is one of the most deserving winners ever in the adapted screenplay category

Actually it was Barry Morrow was credited as Ronald Bass (and Ronald Bass is credited as Barry Morrow) Barry Morrow actually talks about this in the audio commentary he gave on the DVD of Rain Man, both he and Ron Bass had flipped coins to decide who was going to go first and Barry had won the coin toss so he went first but the Academy had assumed that they were going up as Ronald Bass and Barry Morrow. And the reason why Ronald Bass never got to say anything was that that year they were limited acceptance speeches to 30 seconds which meant that they both got 15 seconds each, but Barry had accidentally went over with his speech. Years later he meet someone and he introduced himself as Barry Morrow and that he won an Academy Award for writing Rain Man, and they automatically said “Oh that Ron Bass was such a jerk, he totally stole your speech time!” But of course that person didn’t remember which person’s face was up there!

I enjoy Rain Man, but I think A Fish Called Wanda should’ve won.

    Who Framed Roger Rabbit?
    The Unbearable Lightness of Being
    Die Hard

I remember watching this award show on tv in 1989 and then went and saw the film Rainman at the local cinema. It was packed on a Sunday afternoon session.

God, I hate it when the orchestra doesn’t let both the winners speak. Ron Bass was barely allowed to get a few words out.

I honestly would've tied Rain Man with Mississippi Burning for Original Screenplay.

As much as I love Rain Man, Big should've won Best Original Screenplay because it has a much better script. Also, Who Framed Roger Rabbit? should've been nominated and won Best Adapted Screenplay.
