No but fr i really hope for some new very low end cars. We're getting to many high end and mid end cars. We havent really gotten a new very low end car since payback if i remember correct. I love the new cars we're getting, but more low end and tuners are needed for NFS' carlist

I started playing Unbound at Vol. 6 and i'm ADDICTED.
I was super hyped for Volume 7, so i was a bit sad when i heard they delay the update by a week.
BUT!
We all know that EA pulled a lot of Criterion away from NFS to work on Battlefield... so it's quiete impressive that they still aim for such ambitious updates!
I like the direction they take the game and hopefully the entire NFS franchise.
This place was getting no more people because there’s no mini updates and I have not played this in a year and the last update they got was the Porsche anniversary bro that sucks

Lane-switching was the last thing I liked about old NFS drag races. I hope we get something more like Prostreet, where we have a small minigame with heating up the tires before the race. On top of that, they could make it so that if the player hits a perfect shift up, they could receive a bar of burst nitrous

The fact that i paid 70 dollars for this game and 1.5 years later they are still dripfeeding me the cars they made before release except lots of the custom cars are individually paid dlc like it’s a codemasters game is infuriating. My playthrough in december 2022 would have been more fun with these cars that i know they have already made.
These are definitely not cars made before release, they'll be from the next game. Usually how it works and especially how it works when they give another year of updates delaying the new game

Arround 11:00 when hes talking about the permanent passes, EA's Studio Popcap have actually done this in another game before, PVZ BFN (switch) where the passes were all in a menu, you can grind them at your own time and they're completely optional in which customizations you want to get along 2 split pathes. Would be great to see that feature reach NFS and more games in general as while BFN wasn't great, that feature was an extremely welcome addition.

Honestly I hope they and more devs go down the helldivers route. Passes being time limited makes the items unique & sought after, but that means nothing if you cant ever get those items again or if theyre like double or even triple the original cost
Seen it in OW 2 now where instead of unlocking the mythic skin outright, you get currencies to unlock parts of it or any other mythic skin theyve had available
It would def make more sense for NFS too since the playerbase kinda dwindles until a big update, but giving players a chance to go back to other passes would have a lil bit of incentive to stay and keep grinding levels

I'd like to add something to what you said about "new gameplay". "New customization" is how you make a new car interesting. New gameplay is of course top priority but dont just add new cars, otherwise you end up with forza's situation where they have a billion vehicles but nothing i can do to them

it would be nice if in the drag events they split it by engine type so you can have n/a V8 drag race against eachother if you want to instead of everyone just going straight to the meta vehicles

They should might add nitrous ability that refills over time, also nitrous duration and nitrous power slider… more singleplayer sprint races added grand tour (Day) and grand finale (Night). Which theh pays a lot at $300,000 and $50,000 Buy in on Day, then $200,000 and $75,000 Buy In Night… Also they might adding Payback vibes, where able have bonus payment during racing and bait crates. That scattered random location on the map both day and night
Codm does that really well in terms of getting old pass with the new pass especially those you wanted and couldn't get is available
I feel like getting a Cadillac Escalade, GMC Hummer, Lincoln Navigator or even a RAM Rebel would be pretty fitting for some future series updates on this game in order to relive the og Escalade, H2, Navigator & SRT-10 NFSU2 memories in the modern day | current gen era.

Hyped for Underground Update
I loathe the fact that all these popular AAA games are now "timed." Meaning you have to play them within a certain timeframe, or else you'll miss out and/or now have to buy "what you missed."
Like some of us have lives outside of video games and can't devote dedicated play time to them. I understand the desire to "keep it fresh and new," but don't make them disappear or unreasonable to get back.
This. Hate the whole “FOMO” direction they’ve gone with alot of games in general nowadays. It’s gotten to the point where you gotta choose which game to grind out so you don’t miss out on that limited time content and you can’t grind out every game.

@@drivingforalivinx1 Sadly I’d have to agree. As gamers we have the difficult choice of which game do we wanna grind out and get said FOMO content. Because realistically we can’t get it in all games we play.
While not perfect, I think NFS is doing it a little better than, say FH5. That said, the only games I play are racing games. So, its a little easier for someone like me to keep up with these updates, as my "gaming time" is currently only spent on NFS and Forza. I can see how it might be frustrating for someone who also likes FPS/RPG/Action-Adventure games.
For the battle pass, just look at Halo MCC. Earn points and spend them on whichever pass you want at the time. Only thing you really pay for is Reach and ODST (which are the full on games), so it's very worthwhile and you can play at your own pace.

I'm fine with monetisation when it's not focused on mega greedy profits and the money goes in to actual fresh content. Sadly this isn't one of those rare instances.

There need to be car-specific event records. That way adding a new car is automatically new gameplay as everyone can take their new car and compete on their favourite events; make it offline-compatible for added convenience (times sync on startup or connection). Add more base race events too and there's more gameplay for very little actual work. Although I still say there ought to be unlimited randomised 'go from Point A-to-Point B as fast as possible' missions. That would represent an unlimited source of things to do.
7:47 "to get these updates at all, the new handling, the new modes they decide to add, the money's got to come from somewhere" - what happened to the money I spent to buy the game? And the money EA made on all their other games? That's where the money is supposed to come from. Devs are not paid on spec for making a specific feature or game asset, out of a fund that's exclusively fed by the games they themselves make - they earn a salary whatever they do. If they make a car model that isn't in the end used in the game, they still need to be paid. The point of big studios like EA is supposed to be that the earnings of the whole company support the production output of the whole company. DLC monetization does not pay for update development, this is just EA lying to our faces about how money is distributed. DLC is just about profit and the long tail. I don't object to EA earning a profit from making a good game, of course, but repeating the false narrative that "DLC monetisation pays for more DLC" is just serving EA shareholders at the literal expense of customers.
What I seriously want to be part of this game is Cross' Corvette
I think the Halo Master Chief Collection did "Seasons" perfectly. You just play the game(s), earn tokens, and can unlock any cosmetics from any season you want so long as you have enough tokens. The seasons never expire.

The pass idea, master chief collection and infinite have that permanent passes and you can swap through them when ever you want
I think it would be nice to see the Speed Pass as a Store, hear me out.
You do speciffic missions to ear some sort of currency, with this currency you can buy any item in the pass, no matter how high it sits in the pass, plus, instead of being season like, it is like a store that could either be fixed or have a rotation of itens. With that we would be able to increase the difficulty of the challenges or the amount of challenges to be done, plus it will be friendly for those that just got to the game and wanted a car from an older update. I think its better if they made the challenges harder, this way it would be some sort of a grind instead of doing a buch of low duration challenges, and, as GT7 and GTA, Criterion could monetize on selling the currency for those that can't or won't grind the challenges.
If they make the challenges fun and grindy, i think this would be a really good implementation.
Ngl I actually really enjoy Unbound. Nostalgia aside, to appease the fans of old, I think payed expansions for like $15-$25 that bring back old maps like the Underground map, Rockport, Palmont, ect with a mini campaign maybe another grand in those cities and ofc for the multiplayer to give more variety to the servers as well, it would be cool. In all honesty while an Underground or MW/Carbon remaster would be cool, the truth is Underground plays and handles better and the customization is pretty much better. The story isn’t 😂 but it is more down to earth than the past games and I honestly appreciate that. Hope I’m not alone in this thinking 🤷♂️

Do you have any idea why my ps5 controller on pc just doesn’t work with unbound, I have the game installed through EA, however I had to add unbound to steam as a non steam game it was working then I hit a wooden fence in game and the controller just stopped working.
Think that the devs at criterion need to take a few hints from the unite mod and implement some of those features
For the love of everything, I hope the lane switching from Underground 1&2 IS NOT in this game. Drag racing in those games was frustrating because of the lane changes system. It wasn’t very responsive mechanic and would cause me to wreck when I could’ve otherwise avoided that car or wall in front of me and won the race. I much prefer the NFS Prostreet and NFS 2015 model with the burnout at the start and need to hit the perfect shifts but I can freely move my car around.
Id like the ability to still gear up and down in auto if i wish to. The older games let me do so and it was convenient

I do understand what you're saying. And I definitely do agree with you on this, but the thing is. I remember playing the newfish speed. 1 in 2 when I was on the PlayStation. 1 and 2 and the thing is. I'd really wish they would remaster them or do something with them. You know too for the new generation. Because everyday it can feel what we felt when we first play them, especially when you know you had though these characters. I mean, I just wish they would redo them.And I'm sure you probably would agree with me on.Think it will happen.But you never know I mean the the The more you do and the more you keyboard, saying things and the more comments you get. Ever since the Audi update my game has been crashing and it just turns off my PlayStation I just hope I can finish the pass before the season ends so I don’t miss out on the rewards. I’m not sure if anyone else is having this issue but it gets really annoying

For me NFS unbound was my reintroduction into racing games(the last ones I had played were from the PS2 era) and i absolutely loved this game . After finishing it I did try play other racers like Heat, Grand turismo and forza but I just never had as much fun as I did as when I played unbound
@@jxg2273 I feel that, bro. I was a huge NFSU 1/2 fan. Didn’t touch the game (lost interest after NFSU2) until 2015. But I couldn’t get passed the handling.
2015 has the NFSU2 vibes, but didn’t deliver. This game delivers for me and vibes close enough to underground 2 for me. Plus I love the people walking in the city.

Hey I know not a lot of people don't care about it but it bugs me, and what I mean is the OFF ROAD SUSPENSION AND TIRES!!! I mean me personally there isn't a lot going for it and I don't see the uses of it besides link ups and take over events, but other than that I still don't think they are used why not try to add something like races or events that prioritize these items to where like they won't just be THERE if you catch my drift, because we are mostly never on grass we are mostly on ASPHALT!!! That's just my two cents and thought I'd ask the question. 🤔👀

NFS needs more drip feed and an extra 2 or 3 (5-6 total) cars per update even if theres slightly less detail.. these car manufacturers should be begging for the free advertising soon and giving out licenses as prices plummet
