In terms of make up. Yes men wear make up. Not just idols, but male models, actors even singers too. Eyeliner... really? Not heard of billie joe armstrong from green day? Aerosmith has contour on? Mclean? Do you want me to keep going? The only difference is kpop use make up well, they balanced it well but since some of them naturally has androgynous looks suddenly it looks too feminine? Why not put a beard on them to look more masculine well not everyone can grow them. Asians dont always have very sharp and chiseled features unlike westerns. BTS is super diverse, they are initially a hip hop group, but they also do a lot of other genres, even jazz at one point. If you want more of a chill song you could react to save me or I need U, Spring Day is a ballad and has a TON of meaning in the lyrics and the MV, I think those are the most chill songs for title tracks. Most of their other chill songs don't have MV's but BTS is known for having really good albums not just title tracks. One's I would recommend that are my favorites (but I don't really know what genre you guys would want) would be 'Autumn Leaves' 'love is not over' or 'hold me tight', I was also obsessed with this song called silver spoon, it was my jam for at least half a year. One of the rappers of the group (Suga/Agust D) likes to put like kind of a piano playing in the background but he comes in with really passionate lyrics and rapping in a lot of his stuff like his solo 'First Love' which is really emotional because he talks about music being his first love . 'Fire' and 'Not Today' are really hype songs, they also have four Cyphers because of all the hate they had and still have aimed at them. 'Butterfly' is a really beautiful song and 2!3! is a song for their fans. There's to many to name, I think once you react to them more you'll see why they are so popular.

BTS is the most diverse group that write, produce, compose their own music. You should check out BTS - Blood Sweat & Tears MV and SAVE ME MV.. all of their songs have meaningful lyrics. Also , BTS has songs that are hip hop, rap, pop, ballads, rock, etc... they love experimenting new genres. You should check out their Wings album which is really deep and has all 7 members solo songs in which they compose it themselves.

I love your reactions and have subscribed. I'm about 6 months behind you in my discovery of BTS. I'm a 61 year old grandma. No one has ever understood my taste in music. I've always loved the hard rock. Not classic rock, (I was literally sick of that 40 years ago). Im talking Disturbed, Linkin Park, Korn, Avenged Sevenfold... But I've also been a closet 'boy band' lover and I'm a sucker for a good dance routine. I saw the phone add that features Butter about a month ago and looked them up on RUclips. The first 3 videos were Butter, Permission to Dance and Dynamite. I really enjoyed them and thought, "Okay, a new boy band that can really dance!" However, the next video up was Mic Drop. Mind blown! I know I watched it 50 times that night. That is definitely my jam (do people still say that? Grandma's do I guess.) Then I saw ON. Speechless! Jimin looked me right in the eye at the end and I don't know what happened after that. BTS is my new obsession. I have listened to them non stop since. Their videos are perfection. The rap has such good flow, the transitions are flawless and they all work so hard to bring the vocals, supporting each other's strengths. J-Hope is nothing short of beautiful. When he smiles, wow! That being said, Jimin is the total package. He's so sweet, I could eat him with a spoon. His face, his voice, his moves, his passion... I didn't know I still had these feelings inside me.

Personally didn't share same opinion with the reactors. maybe bcs we got different perpective n point of view to appreciate bts type of mv. Every mv of bts music got deep meaning with all those character n scene of mv shooting like why hater resemble as protestor like ninja outfit with all those smoke. If you must know, the boys wrote this song as a diss to their haters who mocked and ridiculed them because they came from a small company with little connections. Also, they have such a varied discography so why go look for individual projects? First off thank you for reacting to BTS! Almost all their songs have deeper societal connotations- English subtitles and a quick lesson in Korean idioms help with comprehension. This particular song has a backstory- this group is unique because it does not belong to one of the big 3 production companies in Korea - therefore their rise was difficult. They were called "dirt poor" and their company (big hit) almost went bankrupt a few times during their career. They were told by many they would never make it and now that they have - this is their response to all the haters. The members of BTS actually write their own songs and three of their members are on the top 20 artist in Korea with the most copyrights to their name- this is unique- most k-pop bands are handed their songs from their companies. They have a vast variety of songs from heavy rap AgustD and the cyphers to more melodic music such as Spring Day and Save Me- and many are somewhere in between these two styles. A lot of the ARMYs are not general Kpop fans so don’t feel pressured to like Kpop overall in order to like BTS. This song actually has meaning to it which if you’re an ARMY would understand. BTS were the underdogs in the Kpop industry since they’re not from the 3 big agencies (JYP, YG, SM) who basically have a lot of money to back up their idols and hold most of the power in media. BTS had to work 10x harder to help promote and receive recognition. A lot of people in Korea believed that they were gonna be a flop when they first debuted. BTS was the kind of group that went against the norm, didn’t dress like a preppy cliche boygroup, and had their own story to tell instead of singing whatever their agency creates. These guys portray messages about mental health, societal pressures, criticism on government, economic inequality, self-love, etc in their lyrics which are not common topics in the industry. BTS is super diverse, they are initially a hip hop group, but they also do a lot of other genres, even jazz at one point. If you want more of a chill song you could react to save me or I need U, Spring Day is a ballad and has a TON of meaning in the lyrics and the MV, I think those are the most chill songs for title tracks. Most of their other chill songs don't have MV's but BTS is known for having really good albums not just title tracks. One's I would recommend that are my favorites (but I don't really know what genre you guys would want) would be 'Autumn Leaves' 'love is not over' or 'hold me tight', I was also obsessed with this song called silver spoon, it was my jam for at least half a year. One of the rappers of the group (Suga/Agust D) likes to put like kind of a piano playing in the background but he comes in with really passionate lyrics and rapping in a lot of his stuff like his solo 'First Love' which is really emotional because he talks about music being his first love . 'Fire' and 'Not Today' are really hype songs, they also have four Cyphers because of all the hate they had and still have aimed at them. 'Butterfly' is a really beautiful song and 2!3! is a song for their fans.

I love your reactions and have subscribed. I'm about 6 months behind you in my discovery of BTS. I'm a 61 year old grandma. No one has ever understood my taste in music. I've always loved the hard rock. Not classic rock, (I was literally sick of that 40 years ago). Im talking Disturbed, Linkin Park, Korn, Avenged Sevenfold... But I've also been a closet 'boy band' lover and I'm a sucker for a good dance routine. I saw the phone add that features Butter about a month ago and looked them up on RUclips. The first 3 videos were Butter, Permission to Dance and Dynamite. I really enjoyed them and thought, "Okay, a new boy band that can really dance!" However, the next video up was Mic Drop. Mind blown! I know I watched it 50 times that night. That is definitely my jam (do people still say that? Grandma's do I guess.) Then I saw ON. Speechless! Jimin looked me right in the eye at the end and I don't know what happened after that.
BTS is my new obsession. I have listened to them non stop since. Their videos are perfection. The rap has such good flow, the transitions are flawless and they all work so hard to bring the vocals, supporting each other's strengths.

BTS Save Me is more a chill song compared to MIC Drop and it’s one of my favorite tracks from them.
First off thank you for reacting to BTS! Almost all their songs have deeper societal connotations- English subtitles and a quick lesson in Korean idioms help with comprehension. This particular song has a backstory- this group is unique because it does not belong to one of the big 3 production companies in Korea - therefore their rise was difficult. They were called "dirt poor" and their company (big hit) almost went bankrupt a few times during their career. They were told by many they would never make it and now that they have - this is their response to all the haters. The members of BTS actually write their own songs and three of their members are on the top 20 artist in Korea with the most copyrights to their name- this is unique- most k-pop bands are handed their songs from their companies. They have a vast variety of songs from heavy rap AgustD and the cyphers to more melodic music such as Spring Day and Save Me- and many are somewhere in between these two styles. There are 3 rappers and 4 vocalist in the group and they blend their styles well. I'm going to pretend that "dudes wearing makeup" comment did not exist. American artist totally never wear make up during filming correct? Lol. Anyway thank you for watching them - hope to see more.

I hope y'all will read this. Firstly, mic drop is like 80% English, except for the first and second rapping parts, and the ending in black and white. you can watch all their MVswith captions - the lyrics are basically talking to haters. Secondly, they participate in almost of all of their music production, composition, and writing - so everything they do is not without purpose, there is always meaning and they express their own stories and selves through their music, as it should be. A lot of the ARMYs are not general Kpop fans so don’t feel pressured to like Kpop overall in order to like BTS. This song actually has meaning to it which if you’re an ARMY would understand. BTS were the underdogs in the Kpop industry since they’re not from the 3 big agencies (JYP, YG, SM) who basically have a lot of money to back up their idols and hold most of the power in media. BTS had to work 10x harder to help promote and receive recognition. A lot of people in Korea believed that they were gonna be a flop when they first debuted. BTS was the kind of group that went against the norm, didn’t dress like a preppy cliche boygroup, and had their own story to tell instead of singing whatever their agency creates. These guys portray messages about mental health, societal pressures, criticism on government, economic inequality, self-love, etc in their lyrics which are not common topics in the industry. They’re woke af 🔥 BTS is proving that Kpop idols don’t have to be just seen as idols who can perform well, but can also be seen as artists who use the aesthetics of Kpop to help advance the music they create.
SO this song is for the haters. BTS is saying you better watch your words and who you’re trying to step on. After 4-5 long years of hate, it doesn’t affect them anymore so the haters should just focus on themselves now. They’re saying goodbye and to not even apologize. The guys said what needed to be said, thus the song is called mic drop! Fun fact: BTS got inspired from Obama lol
I think people all over the world recognized that there’s something different about BTS, so that’s why they’re being praised in the West instead of Exo or Big Bang (even though those groups are still more popular in Asia).
