- Restoring and rebuilding my 1993 BMW E36 325i Convertible. Picked this one up for 1500euros, not even road legal. Here is the story.

I bought this car back in 2017 as a daily and have been modifying it ever since. From getting it road legal, then swapping it to manual and later on give it a lot of other cool mods to make in more my own E36 and to enjoy this everyday! I am still using this a lot!

What are the odds. I recently bought e36 325 coupe auotmatic for 1.4k . I just got it fully welded no rust, set up manual , bought full mpack and redid my interior in full black leather, hope to get it painted in 3months time and my summer car is done. Your car looks lovely, great work.

Not a bad job. I remember when I was young,on my first build(mine was a 91 thunderbird sc)and half assin things(like not removing and properly preping the calipers before painting...using spray paint on EVERYTHING)but ur attention to detail on things u did do was good. I'm not cutting up,I really did EVERYTHING u did. Trust me tho,when ur older and realized the world isn't moving a million miles an hour...ur builds will reflect it. There's just something about doing it right and being floored when the work u did turns out like a professional and being shocked u could actually be the one who made it

Man I wish I had a friend who could let me use their car lift. Would’ve made everything easier.

I have a 98 E36 (328is) sitting in my garage that I've been dying to get back up and running. I'm not that good with cars, so I've been holding off until I have the money to take it to a shop to get some TLC. Great video! Very inspiring. lol

Louis Luzuka estoril blue with black carpets but same dorr panels as my 325 vert.
Would choose coupe easier to sell, but M3 vert would be awesome!!

I play forza horizon 4 and I have a e36 on there its stock but the only upgrade it has is the exhaust and the rims I made it like that because I love you and I own a e34 also only upgrade is exhaust and rims Thats how much I love you

I want to buy e36 320i for the first car so my question is how expensive is to maintance 20+ years old car?
Depends how it is when you buy it. should buy one in good condition :)
Definitely check all the cooling hoses and thermostat (would be great if you could bring a code reader with you). Also check for any oil leaks under the car and around the valve cover gasket. Check if the car warms up in about 10mins, blows cold and warm air. Don't be afraid to ask the owner if something is concerning you about the car. When test driving do a hard acceleration test to see if the car acts normally, also listen for weird clunks that shouldn't be there.
Not too bad, but definitely could be better...cooling system is a weak point of E36s, watch out for RUST, and rear subframe is also a weak point of these cars

how much you paid for gearbox and from what model is it?
Marko Lečić for gearbox and everything needed+the job I paid 600euros 👍🏼 Gearbox from a e34 520 I think. Clutch was also 100 euros 👌🏼

They're not in Germany, and it was so cheap because it was a rusty automatic piece of shit that wasn't even legal. A road legal one goes from 4000 euro for a car that passes inspection now but probably won't in 3 years because it's falling apart to 8000 for a clean one.
And that's the reason why everyone buys 320i here, because you can get a clean one for 3000 euro then get an m50b25 or m52b28 for a 1000 more and you're good to go.

It was a good car but you broke it now. Not the machenic but the extirior is bad write now when you did the fender and rust removal thats soo bad. But good luck I just don't like the way you fixinig it.
