The 80’s were the best times to ride BMX and this DYNO is witness to that.

Wow THAT is a real handlebar! 😳
Your cable work is almost like ASMR for me!
But I hate doing cable work myself but I think it's because of my crappy cutters.
I must get a real pair of cutters one day!
    Thanks for a great video!

I like original setup for the rear brakes better personally. But you do have a point about that splitter rubbing the down tube. I had an 87 Decade with a Spin Tech and that splitter did rub the down tube a bit. It’s getting tough to find parts for these setups. Great video as always, I look forward to seeing the next one.

More builds like this! Or just any bike builds. Keep it up, learned a lot from you. I haven't worked on a bike in 20 years. This is a great refresher. Currently rebuilding my 91 dyno detour. :)

I Remember The Primo Pervert was used to cut the play of about 1/8 of an inch that is found on the upper Gyro Cable in all different named brands exept for The Fishbone gyro which the splitter is similar to Primo Pervert but if you buy Re-Pop`s of The Fishbone gyro they now use standard gyro cables.

You should put the original down cables. The SpinTech is very rare for the adaptation, that I agree is better for performance.

Ps hate that og 3 way clamp I use the one sold on Porkchop for the pervert so much easier on decades

  • @theshamanarchist5441

Generally, the bike looks sweet. That 'spintech' thing reminds me of the old ACS Pro Rotor from '86. I would ALWAYS go with the Odyssey Gyro rather than that thing. Your cables are too long up top. And puting a nylon cable tie around an outer brake cable is a definite no-no. If you really must hold it in place, use a velcro strap instead. Still though, she looks pretty hot for a middle aged chick. Er, I mean bike ha, ha, ha.
    Peace

Any opinions on powder coating rims like on this Dyno? It looks sweet but Ive never powdered sides of rims because I was afraid it would gum up or melt. I ride my bikes rather than just display only. I searched around for opinions online but the forums are mostly knowitalls insulting each other..😮
Let me know if anyone has experience or opinions. Thanks
