I have a similar hair trimmer from Philips. Battery seems dead, but when I connect the charger I can switch it on, and when I plug the charger off, it runs almost 1 hour from battery. If I switch it off it does not switch on until I re-connect the charger. So not the battery is dead, but the electronics cannot deal with a 2 years old somewhat aged battery. Electronics is bad, not battery.
Same for me. I first thought I had to buy another trimmer, but in fact it has still a lot of battery, I just have to plug the charger a few seconds before and after switching the trimmer on. It's a shame that the electronic lets us thinking that the trimmer is dead. Planned obsolescence ?
I changed the battery of the philips trimmer and then inserted the new battery, then the light turned on for a while again the trimmer did not work. Earlier the trimmer used to run on the direct line. Nothing is happening now.
Have a different trimmer but replaced the internal batteries with a double AAA battery holder but when turning it on it still flashes orange. Any idea why... happens with rechargeable and non-rechargeable.
@@KonstantinSachkov Tried non-alkaline battery - flashing orange, tried the default batteries after seperating and charging in different charger - no flashing at all. Tried original charger with no battery in and I think I fried it somehow as there was a slight burning smell, and it won't flash anymore even with the other previous working ones.... Ahhhhhh!!
I tried changing the battery, but I faced an issue. Could you please guide? While removing the battery, one of the battery connectors which was originally machined-stuck to the battery, broke in half. While putting the batteries again, I wrapped a tiny piece of silver foil to increase the connector's height so that it can touch the battery terminal & complete the circuit. After closing the chassis, The trimmer was working, but the motor was too fast than the normal speed. Tried connecting the charger and switching it on, still the same issue persisted. I tried with the original battery and connected the charger and switched it on, within 2-3 secs, there was some smoke coming out of it. Is the silver foil causing the issue? There was nothing burnt on the circuit board. I'm guessing the motor gave away the smoke. How can I restore it to it's normal speed? It's sucking too much electricity, even though I haven't made any other changes, than the ones shown in your video. Batteries are AAA 1.2V Duracell rechargeable ones.
@@KonstantinSachkov Thank you for replying. I had put the batteries in reverse, i.e -ve to +ve & vice versa & switched it on by mistake, the 1st time. Will reversal of current damage the dc motor? What are the remedies to this problem?

how to disconnect battery. So that i can use my trimmer by directly plug in to the power source ?
It was impossible with a 25W soldering iron, then I tried successfully with a 80W one. The trimmer is operative now 👍
