Went by Nicolai Parfumeur shop in Paris a few weeks ago, these were all smelling so good, but they did seem a bit intense. The Macaron Bourbon was my favorite. Nice for cold days.
Such a coincidence! I'm wearing St Honoré today. 😂 It's so good. I usually hate orange blossom and milk notes in perfumes but this is so well blended. It's also potent without being sickening. A masterpiece.
I'm so happy you reviewed these, they don't have a store where I live so I'm waiting for samples. I love rose so I am excited for Macaron Bourbon but everyone seems to be going nuts for St Honore!

Thank you for the review! I agree with you on Saint Honore. I get very clear Nutella note at the opening and I love it for the autumn/winter. Also love and wear Weekend in Normandy, Iris Medicis, Bois Belize and Baikal Leather
While it is creamy for me it's not nutella. More like a creamy cookie butter but less smelling like Speculous and more milk. But noses are different and we pick up different things! :)
Pavlova is absolutely delicious. It has base of chewy meringue, topped with whipped cream, chopped fruit and almost always has a drizzle of granadilla/passionfruit on top. Personally, I like a bit of honey drizzle too. Am most keen on trying out this fragrance.
Big fan of Nicolai. I've smelled all three of her new gourmands as my wife was sampling. Pavlova was my favorite of the three (and, taking advantage of your discount code, the one my wife's getting for the holidays). Hard to say which of her fragrances are my favorite. I currently have Patchouli Intense, New York Intense, Amber Oud, Iris Medicis, and Caravansarial. I finished a small of Bois Belize and need to replace it.

I am a huge fan of gourmand fragrances! Excited about these! I love your reviews. The house of Nicolai is a hit or miss for me. The only one I have in my collection is Kiss me Intense.

Hello Sebastian. Pavlova is a dessert made from soft meringue creme Chantilly and add with any kind of fresh fruits. It's a creation dessert from 2 countries , once said it's from Australia and others said it's from New Zealand. A little info of the pavlova dessert.
SAINT HONORE sounds great I will add it to my list, I've tried only one Nicolai fragrance Cuir Cuba, in fact it was a blind buy, I like it, it's not a love, need to use it more. Thanks for the review Sebastian!!!
I sampled St Honoré this week. I loved the bready opening so much, I still keep thinking about it! However, the drydown became very spicy on my skin, too spicy for my personal liking. It though I picked up nutmeg and I was also reminded of cloves stuck in oranges (maybe this is the orangeblossom?). I do want to tey it again, maybe I just need to get used to the spices. But the bready opening was divine!
I placed a large order at Zgo and they graciously gifted me a 15ml travel size of Macaron Bourbon. I haven’t tried it on skin yet and was a little disappointed that it didn’t really smell like a gourmand when I sniffed it from the sprayer but I’ll give it a chance. This is my first time smelling anything from the Nicolai house and now I need to go back to Zgo to get my nose on St. Honoré
I found Pavlova to be quite similar to Carioca heart, but without the cloying ambroxan. I enjoyed my sample, but ended up giving it away to my mom 😅 St Honore sounds very intriguing, as well
I wish all bottles were refillable -- it feels like a sin to toss some of these beautiful art pieces. These three should be right in my wheelhouse but I need to stick to the very gourmandy beastly fragrances, as those are the ones I enjoy the most, as in Oui Plus and Bee. When I want complex and simply beautiful I turn to Fifty Four and Lira. For rose, I turn to Joy. And for smoky, which I also love, I am a big fan of Estrella. I am going to put these on the list and see if my daughter can get me at least blotters when she visits ZGO. I do love putting orange blossom syrup on something like Katayif.
Pavlova is the most incredible desert you can ever eat. But, it must have passionfruit on it. Without passionfruit it’s not an authentic pavlova. Also, real Pavlova have strawberries 🍓
Need to get my nose on these 3. My favorite from the house is Bois Belize. In my Sebastian voice, it's absolutely Yummy!

I bought Pavlova at first sniff. It smell like a sparkling Fanta pineapple an. It is suitable for spring and summer imo
