We were shown this documentary around 1994 in Kenya. I have always remembered it, and today I searched for it to watch again. Sobering. His sincerity/ honesty is admirable. Such a talented musician; an articulate orator. R.I.P. Philly.
Here crying watching this documentary Philly you were a great man you'lll be remembered forever may soul rip and I pray God to give you a place in heaven
This man was everything; a hero, a patriotic, so kind, empathetic, calm, intelligent, loving❤🩹❤🩹, determined............ to mention but a few! . May this pure heart always come back to your off springs, family and relatives as a price that you paid. As Ugandans, we love respect and treasure you,❤❤ and as the new generation, we are super proud of you. continue resting with the angels Philly.
Thanks for the upload, it is a great documentary. Philly left a lasting legacy, he was a great person and arguably one of Africa's greatest musicians. RIP.
Uganda lost a president he had a heart for his people even when he was not expecting a new day,he still loved his county.i love you and we will always remember you and tell our grandkids about you.you are a hero RIP
Lutaya was very Brave strong, and determined, He Realy played abig to inform people, Realy worked much on US the future generation wc they were planning of, lets also pray and be careful for also the fure generation
I like when they asked him how he feels mentally and he said he felt the same. He still felt strong and creative. It's only his body that grew weaker with time. We can honor Philly by being careful with our lives. HIV/AIDS is still with us.
In the end it will matter not how many buildings you had. How much money u left. How many cars. Shares. Power etc u had but whether you touched a life. Changed the life of a child. Educated and changed a community. Its only in adversity that true heroes are born. Real men stand up and are counted when all the chips are down. In Philly we find the true definition of a HERO. I will forever remain humbled that i got the chance to be in your presence. That i was educated by you about the true impact of AIDS and that in your sacrifice i found thw lessons of caution that probably formed my actions and survival in that deadly decade of AIDS prevalence. WE ARE ALL BORN EQUAL BUT SOME MEN LIKE PHILLY ARE MORE EQUAL THAN MOST OF US. THE LEGEND LIVES ON
i was still young when he died but he was a great man i remember his last days when he was ill and he was on tv with his kids a pity u are really a hero
Bongole your the best and you will always be, we believe in you, your our Hero, you will always be respected until the end of the world may the Almighty bless your Soul. dear Philly may your Soul rest in peace.[R.I.P]
I can watch it over and over again because in it, there's a message that empowers and stirs my soul and spirit to be more, do more and ultimately give more to the life that the Lord gave me in this world.
Rip Legendary, he was really a strong man, despite the fact that the virus had completely destroyed his physical appearance , he sang and spoke with boldness, His English was Excellent
Good job Philly. You did correctly prophesy that 'in the future, every Uganda will be professionally or personally affected by HIV/AIDS'. Your legacy lives on. Good job Tezra.
