    Had lasik in 2006. Still 20/20 vision in 2021.

      @@neymar1759 yes. I think I'm lucky. I do have very slight halo's around super bright lights at night, but not enough that it bothers me. Lasik was still the best decision I made!

      @@hidar9973 thankfully no. I think I'm one of the very few that has that issue. I had lasik due to eye injuries when I was little so maybe that is the difference.

    I had lasik two months ago, best decision I’ve ever did, I have at least 20/20, only thing is my eyes getting dry from time to time but it’s happening way less frequently each time.

      I’ve cancelled lasik best decision ever made, so I won’t see halos and starburst alongside with dry eyes. I can see those halos and light rays at night through the windscreen of my car (I don’t see them outside the car, the windscreen makes these distortions). I can only imagine how these windscreen distortion combined with lasik distortions look like while driving at night after lasik surgery

    I had relex smile in 2019. It was the worst decision in my life. It has given me severe dry eyes, corneal neuralgia (chronic pain), poor vision in all conditions, filmentary keratitis (pieces of hardened mucus attached the cornea - feels like permanent grit). The condition of my eyes are so poor I have been unable to work for two years, drive or be outside in moving air. I fight suicidal thoughts every day. I also now must wear glasses. Please do not let commercially motivated surgeons loose on your only pair of eyes.

      wow you should look into getting another procedure done LASIK or PRK, speak to a reputable clinic near you about it, because if its been 6+ months, your eyes have adjusted and will not be changing any longer. Your outcome is terrifying, can you go into detail what happened during surgery? before? after?

    I'm on my day 5 of prk, now i can driver without problem, i never had any light sensation, i had a big double vision on day 2, it was gone on day 3.
    On day 2-3 i had a pain that i never experienced in my life, i mean i couldn't even sleep i only slept 2 hours first day and 3 hours second day the pain was unsupportable for me. From day 1 at night to day 4 at night i couldn't even open my eyes, did you see when someone cut onion next to you and your eyes starts to close automatically? i was like that for 4 days i couldn't even open them for 4 seconds, anyway now i feel great :)

    Can you explain is how “3d generation” SMILE lacks of modern wavefront technology and can only use old rudimentary laser surface treatment? Get your stats right before posting 😀

    • @makahadomax4524
      @makahadomax4524 2 года назад +1

      It's 3rd gen because it came after the two procedures lol, and it's technically much more advanced than the other two.

    • @forgewire
      @forgewire 2 года назад +1

      @@makahadomax4524 I don’t see how “because it came after the two procedures” SMILE it’s more advanced than others. As I said SMILE only allows 1st generation type of surface correction vs 3d generation iDesign, Contoura or wavefront available with PRK or Lasik. SMILE has significantly lower Range of Correction, no Computerized Eye Movement Tracking, no Cyclorotation Compensation, no Active Centration Control, no Corneal Irregularly Correction. No tell me how SMILE is 3d generation?

      @@forgewire Relex isn't even correcting the surface... you know that right. And what's not clicking? That's just how naming conventions work, even if something is shittier than the stuff it came after, you don't title it before whatever came first.
