I know you like playing new courses on your own, Andy, but having a game with Lou ups your competitive streak, and that makes the golf content even better. What a great Hidden Gem Kendel is. Love the look of its rises and dips, and I can imagine having a one night, two day trip to play the hills there and then battle the water down at Carus Green the next day. Great video content of the landscape as usual. I'm worried about your cholesterol levels though after that breakfast you had and your dinner the night before!
Andy, thank you for showing the “full” experience. Lodging, food, travel, scenic views as well as the golf which is always top notch. Cheers! 👍🍺⛳️
my must watch series at the moment great fun and loving the extra craic your providing before and after the golf.
Thanks Stephen, see you next Monday
Thanks for introducing us to this golf course. I have never heard of it. What a beautiful area Andy. I have not been to England. You have been showing us great scenery of your country. It is good to have a friend like Lewis to play golf with. Glad you enjoyed your round together. Good show Andy. Nice video.
Thank you for all these videos Andy. You are selling off the beaten track golf really well. Keep up the great work. Love all your content.
Interesting and different approach. Fascinating to see the different courses that are not resorts or expensive fee layouts. I doubt I could play them as I will be 83 in June and had a quadruple heart bypass a few years ago, and seems clear no carts are used here. I agree walking is at the heart of golf and used to walk and carry the bag. But age forces some changes. Still, I am in good shape and can still gat a carry of 205 with the driver, and it would be devastating to have to give up the game because walking the full 18 was problematic. So it’s either a caddy or a cart. But please keep doing these videos they are a rare treat. And do use the track man so we can see the flight of the ball.
Andy. Really enjoy watching your travels. You certainly cover all aspects of a day golfing. Heading up to play tain gc next week. Been watching your video of it and so looking forward to playing it next week. Just keep finding new courses Andy. Fore
Very beautiful countryside Andy ! How cool it must be to drive around and play golf with one of your best friends(mates) !
Yep definitely look forward to these. Once caddied at the Cumbria County Champs round Kendal, 72 holes with a tour sized bag, first day in horrendous rain. Severe endurance test!
Great video Andy...played a little golf in the area but nevrr Kendal...
Those bacon brioche looked grwat...and an Orange Club brought back boyhood memories...i like a Mint Club tbh 😁
I always grab my morning ☕ and enjoy this series every Monday here in the USA. Imagining myself enjoying some beautiful UK Golf on a beautiful links course. Cheers to you both.
Good morning!
It's always a joy to take a trip with you. What a great swing Lou has. I love coming along for the ride ... The new format is well designed and a lot of fun.
Glad you enjoyed it
New favourite channel to watch. Just a great relaxing feel and approach to golf. And it’s nice to see some nice honest courses being shown rather than watching people play big manor clubs or fancy clubs abroad that I’ll be lucky to ever play. Keep up great work guys.
Love that thanks
how many times can we relate to emptying the golf bag in the carpark looking for keys, with the sinking feeling they are somewhere on the course. Only to find them in the pocket you where sure you had looked in . nice to have left that in Andy
Another great video Andy! Loved how you kept the camera rolling at the end to keep us in suspense over whether you found your keys...or was it just a clever ploy for a bit of product placement and to show off all the pxg cart bag has to offer?!!😂
Seriously though, great views and an interesting looking golf course; some great tee shots from you both and the styme twist at the end was brill! You could tell Lewis was taking it seriously when he dropped the f bomb after that putt he left short!😆
I look forward to the next video. I played silverdale last week which was a great, quirky course and not far from Kendal so if you are back up there at some point, do a vlog from there 👍
Glad you enjoyed, sorry about the expletive, I missed that one but did bleep out the next!
@TheAverageGolfer No problem, Andy! There is a lot worse that can be heard out on the golf course at times!! Keep up the great content!👍
leisurely competitive golf. I love it. It's been a minutes since I've watched your channel. Love the flags, especially on holes on hills. It's like a caddy lining you up. I'm back.
Glad you are back
Great to see you and Louis out on the course.
I used to live over that side of the country and have been lucky enough to play Kendal on a few occasions. Awesome views just like Windermere golf club. Try Kirkby Lonsdale golf club on the edge of the Dale's. Awesome views and the course is usually in great condition. Plus the green fees are very reasonable. Keswick golf club also has great views but play it in a dry spell as it can be soggy.
As usual the golf and scenery are fantastic. What really amazes me is how narrow your roads are off major highways. Your travels to and fro from those courses would give me claustrophobia.
Loving the StyMe! It will definitely catch on this summer at many golf courses around the UK, thanks to your listeners. From a golf course perspective I much prefer Seaton Carew, but please keep them coming and make PXG proud.
I hope it catches on, really is a good game to play. See you next Monday, back on the links
Love this channel! The Jack Hargreaves’s of Golf travel in the countryside.
Beautiful! Hope courses here in Quebec City, Canada open this month…. We had a very mild winter, almost no snow left.
I wasn't sure about the format the first time around, And, but I'm keen to give it a go now. Kendal GC is a lovely looking course with fantastice views. Shame the greens weren't a bit better. I feel they robbed you both a few times. It is great to have Lewis involved again, and his reaction on the 12th green @21:29 was classic. Despite being a pro, he is still one of us - just a golfer 😅.
At 2:20 my mouth was watering at the site of that bacon butty. Great video work throughout this content. That's a mark of your channel - quality and consideration. Golf is great too.
Great video, cinematic quality is the best out there! Your direction with the channel is spot on as is PXG's foresight in selecting "The Average Golfer" to support. Cheers to you both 👋
Thanks to you
Played Kendal and most of the courses in The Lakes back in my junior golfer days. A beautiful part of the world. ⛳️👍🏻😁
This episode was especially great ..what a match!! And as always great filming 👌👌
Absolutely love this series! What an awesome course. Great scenery as usual and such good background music. You make me want to come explore this part of the world. Better keep that 4 wood in your bag.
Pleased you are enjoying Terry, the 4w has been incredible
I may never get to come play golf in the UK but thanks to you I feel like I have.
Funny watching the bag search, done that before, too many pockets😅.
Great video Andy! Love those breakfast sandwiches😋 You guys are having fun with StyMe, some great shots made there & Lewis is a great putter!
Glad you enjoyed it
Lewis says "underrated these aren't they" referring to the candy bar.. I started laughing out loud...
Fun to watch. Tight game and two good golfers today !!!
Yep close match
The AirBnB looks a bit 'cosy' unless it's with family Love the honesty in all your videos and the quality of the camera work is great (and backing tracks). Nice one 👍
A bit cosy is an understatement
I would have called on the 8th if I had 2 left😂
If I were you Andy wouldn’t tell Lewis that you have a shot on the hole on the tee
Another cracking course and vlog 👍
To many pockets on that bag 😅
Pleased you enjoyed it, we are lovin the format
Love the new format and approach to the videos!
Glad to hear it!
Good to see two good ball strikers going head to head. Meander up to the Highlands, some great courses here.
I should have been there last week, forecast of snow put pay to it!
Play Brora, Golspie, Fortrose.... amazing courses.
Re the airbnb, it's a wondrous thing human creativity and it's imaginitive interpretation of building regs!
🤣🤣
Great course, great game and beautifully filmed as always. Great company, Lewis, if I could steal his short game for a while that would be great too.
Absolutely
What a great putter Lewis is. Alright so they don’t drop but they’re so close you could blow most of them in. Funny as I remember 18 months ago you were showing him different putters because he didn’t like that part of his game. Glad it’s not only me that does that with my car keys… 😅
Oddly enough he still claims to struggle!
Lou played a blinder. If his putts had dropped, he would have been more than one up. Overall a good match. Considering the weather, you both did ok to get out and play. Being up in the hill's the water always runs down, and the drive up to Kendal GC was a rise up to the heavens.
Great episode. Real exposure to early spring wind!
Glad you enjoyed
Interesting format Andy! Lou pulled a fast one at the last!
Yes it was!
Good golf by Lewis, brilliant finish , had me laughing. Another brilliant episode, Andy, views outstanding. Look forward to next week
Glad you enjoyed it
Looks like crampons were needed to get round the course! Another cracking game.
😂
Andy, always put your keys and mobile phone in the same pocket every time you play. Easier to remember where things are. It's mad getting old...lol. 😂
I do !!!
Watching your video's are calming in a noisy world! Thank yoi
Happy to hear that!
Great video guys and great looking course as well!
I hear seascape is worth a visit Andy - not played it myself- played cockermouth in a blizzard
I think any golf competition which effectively negates the score on selected holes and at the same time makes you play them is quite dubious. Every hole you play should count.
Kendeal is awesome! Always enjoy seeing Lewis, too.
Excellent content again Andy/Lou, keep it going.
Thanks, will do!
Thanks Andy for these videos. You both played really well. Would need oxygen for that course though 😊
Absolutely
Quality outro! I doubt there is a person alive that hasn't been through that exact scenario at some point
Every one of your videos deserve a positive comment sir. You always present a positive message!
Cheers Andy, good luck with the channel 👍
Thanks 👍
Beautiful scenery
Another great video Andy, what a gem Kendal is, just gone on my bucket list
Thanks for watching
I’m with Lewis. As he teed off on nine, I was thinking I would play a StyMe there - and then he did! But forget the golf. After the evening meal and then the breakfast on that trip, you should be on Masterchef, not RUclips!
New channel incoming!
Cumbria looks decent for a golf trip, Andy. Looks like you and Louis had a great time. These vids are the highlight of my week 🎉🎉🎉
Glad you continue to enjoy
Pause the video at about 7:40 ish. What a scene. Beautiful.
I assume thats my golf swing?
Andy, traveling the countryside and playing some nice courses ⛳️ You have certainly hit the sweet spot mate. 👍 Cheers
Glad you enjoyed it
I really enjoyed this format Andy. It’s good to blend in the great cinematic composition of your videos with some (semi?) serious golf as well. Cheers. BTW, your swing looked quite stiff to me today. Was that as a result of the dodgy AirBnB?
I defiantly struggled at times but I think thats just golf
Another great course, thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it
I love when you have Lou in your videos..The two make a great pair. I hope Lou appreciated that breakfast sandwich..lol
Great video - maybe Kendal Mint Cake instead of Club Orange for your mountain goat expeditions - can’t wait for a video that’s in the UK but has sunshine 😎
You might be waiting a while 😂
This is a great show, I really enjoy watching.
Such a great episode. Keep up the great work. All love from Ohio.
Thank you! Will do!
Golden rule Andy, use the same pocket for keys and nothing else, that way no chance of losing them when accessing for something else.
Another great video,Lou's driver was on fire that day
It normally is tbf
What I like about your channel Andy, is that it’s more than just getting into the course and hitting g the ball you appreciate the surroundings. It’s the course that matters, yes a nice clubhouse etc has an impact but it’s the 2-4 hours out playing which is giving the memories that matter.
As someone with a high cholesterol reading not sure a double cheese and bacon butty would be my Dr’s recommendation but with the walking you have to do on a course like Kendal probably a very good choice
Haven’t played since October, there’s some nice weather next week, might be able to sneak in 9 then.
I was exhausted watching you drive up that hill to get there. I bet it's beautiful on the still sunny day.
Yes views for miles
Looks like a good course, very hilly and a difficult walk.
Great round - can you post the stymie rules again - I’m not sure how to score it - and some strategies would be great
Wow beautiful background ⛳️
Did not see that last StyMe coming!
Well done Lou.
A question: can you StyMe a StyMe on the last if you both have a StyMe left?
currently there is no option to Styme a Styme
thank you well done.
Maybe not the most out of the way course in the farthest reaches of north of England - Alston Moor (allegedly the highest course in England) probably counts as the furthest from civilisation although both Bellingham or Allendale (not that far from Alston Moor) would be close. Of those 3 courses I have only played Bellingham, which has lots of changes in elevation - you definitely want a buggy.
As for Kendal, it takes an AVG video to show just how beautiful it is
Will give it a look 👍
Pity about the airB&B Andy great course made up for it .
Well played, Lewis!
Stitch up 🤣
Always love your videos Andy. Just settling down with a coffee here for what I know will be another belter.
Enjoy mate, good win yesterday 👍
Fun to watch!
Good to see Lou make that putt on #8.
Broke me!
Monday favorite 👍⛳️🏌️♂️
Looks an interesting course. I think it would be nice to play on a good summers day
Absolutely
Hi Andy. Still getting my head around the StyMe game but so far it's interesting. Just out of interest as my swing speed is similar to yours, how are you getting on with the PXGs? What shaft and head did they fit you into on the irons? Overall are you enjoying them? Great videos by the way and nice to see Lewis with you. I haven't seen Lewis since he was at Foregolf which was ages ago. Cheers. Mark
I have been playing an Aerotech steelfiber shaft for 5 years, I now play a slightly light i95 stiif 👍
Love the content on your channel keep up the good work
Thanks Brian
Some great golf and scenery, keep it up chaps
See you next Monday
how ya liking your 4 wood ? is it the Black Ops ? which shaft did you go with ? awesome video Andy great to see you and Lou golfing cheers from Canada
Love it and yes its Black Ops
@@TheAverageGolfer thx for the response oh what shaft did you go with in the 4 wood ?
Wonderful video, thank you for the time and effort posting this video.
Thanks as ever for watching
Used my 0317T irons for the first time this weekend, they are a thing of beauty 🎉
Good luck!
Missed a few videos lately. Can someone explain the "stymie" format?
Well done lew great tactic to put it to bed.
Any day with bacon cheese buns for breakfast is a damn good day. I have spoken.
We agree 👍
You missed your real vacation - open a breakfast bar I want to order one of your bacon and cheese baps please!
good idea
Hello Andy , as you play a new golf course, do you use a range finder..? Again a very nice video. 🙏🏻🙏🏻😊👍🏻🇩🇪
Yes I do
Great video 👍
Loved this video 😊
Thank you 🙏
Weve vowed not to play kendal again without a buggy! you need to be some sort of golfing Sir Edmund Hillary around that course! Pop into Kirkby Lonsdale next time youre passing. Great video - just joined the AVG membership
Yes I would suggest the same! We did get an invite to Kirkby Lonsdale
Thanks for joining membership
