If anyone is trying to download mods but have no initial Mods folder. Generally you have to open the game first and then close it which will then allow for the Larian Studios and Mods folder to appear in C Drive. You don't have to start a game; simply exiting once the main menu appears is fine.

I make a folder to extract into but then it looks different and then when I run the .exe file another folder opens up with "_Lib, Data, Resources and Tools" only in it. When i close that folder then the app opens and it never inputs or saves the pathing to the game.

wish that I had found yur video sooner its really through and simple for us begginer modders, I think that I fucked up beore trying to do this on my own because when I open my game I cant go to camp, long rest or talk to any NPCs (or any party members) , currently trying to unstall the game and install it again, hopefully that does the trick but if anyone has any tips for this please do say I really dont want to have to start all over again
ah that sucks :( perhaps you can try removing all mods that aren't purely visual to test and see if it works. usually game altering mods alter the scripts which is why it's best to mod before starting a run.
@@DaySky ah yes, I tested my luck definitely lol, I managed to save my files after disabling all the mods and unstalling then installing the game again, I backed up my saves now so whatever happens in the future my progress wont be messed up, lesson learnt
I am facing the problem that some Mods won't be imnported, allthough they are listed as active. On some i get this yellow message "No Mods imported. Does the file contain a .pak?" What does that mean? Are those Mods no longer working with patch5 ?

Fantastical Multiverse (whatever the multi race mod is) causes your game to crash whenever you would go to a level up screen. You cannot remove it if you have played with it at all. Are you familiar with this issue and how to fix it? (Would mod fixer fix this?) Great video, thank youuuu
in that mod description it says "Ensure you have Patch 3+ Fix either the original or one found on the Nexus added to your mods list. " this could mean mod fixer since i didn't find any other mod by this name. i would give it a go, and see what happens. you'll need mod fixer for other mods anyways

the way I update them is manually, so basically by just replacing the mods you initially installed with the updated version of the mod in the BG3 mod file folder. I would then re-export so that the Mod manager is all caught up. I'll make a tutorial for it :)

sounds like one of the mods your using has an issue. assuming it's some kind of armor mod you're putting on and making the body disappear. have you tried starting a new character and testing if this mod works properly? if not i would suggest trying others
wait but what if the mod does effect the story.... im trying to download the Basket of equipment mod and its just not working or anything. i tried downloading the dash mod it recommended to summon the basket to u cuz im in Act 3 but still nothing even with mod fixer
Act 3 could be too far along to get the basket of equipment. i would either load another character way earlier save point in act 1 or 2 OR create a new character to test. there will be a basket of equipment west of the overgrown ruins, all the way at the end of the beach past the mind flayer area next to the broken pier. (also can buy this basket from aaron the little merchant in the tiefling camp). if the basket isn't there the mod simply is not installed correctly.

the part where you skipped over adding mod manger to program files and user files confused me can you elaborate as ive defo fucked up. First time modding anything here so clueless
basically just make a separate folder that's not in your program files or user files. so if you're installing on your main C drive just create it in this pc> windows (c:)

I'm switching over to the BG3 Mod Manager from Vortex. I haven't seen anything on how to update mods in BG3MM when they're showing as updated. And whats the best way to check for updates? If I update mods in Vortex, will the mods be updated in BG3MM as well? Thanks!

Im having a issue with my mods where i load 25% into my friends game and then get kicked and its only me thats having this issue the other 2 are fine. Ive followed a steam guide to clear the cache by doing some stuff and restarting your pc like 5 times. We all have the same mods and the same load order but i still cant join any ideas?
hmm... the only thing I can think of is perhaps your mods are outdated and ruined something with the latest update. granted if it worked fine with the latest update before, i'm not quite sure

I know this is 7 month late, but if you just try to import again usually it works. At least, it did in my case.

The game is installed but when i go into the AppData/Local directory, Larian Studios folder is not there.
I open user, but there is no app data folder.

Modfixer installation is at 1:40. It is meant to be under overrides.
