    • @Musicradio77Network

I don’t think Touchstone is going to reactivate anytime soon. Disney needs to concentrate on Pixar, Marvel, LucasFilm and 20th Century Fox for their films, not just Touchstone. In addition would be live action remakes of animated films which would come up. Disney has done well with “The Lion King” as a live action and it became a worldwide hit than the original animated version. Disney has done live action remakes of animated films in the past decade. There will be more in the 2020’s.

I’ve only personally seen 3 of Touchstone’s films, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Unbreakable, and The Prestige. I quite liked those films though and the division as a whole seems like a solid one for Disney. I can get why Disney decided they didn’t need it anymore since they are capable of producing PG and PG-13 films under the main Walt Disney Pictures banner (though there are some films where I question whether they fully realize this) not to mention how the company has become far more focused on tentpole, franchise films since the mid 2000’s and Touchstone is more known for standalone projects, but yeah I really don’t get why they didn’t just sell the studio to Jerry Bruckheimer given he was interested in it and they had no problems with selling Miramax, another studio which mainly specialized in standalone films that Disney slowly but surely lost interest in. Was it just out of pride? Or would selling the studio have meant they would’ve also had to sell the rights to it’s library of films like with Miramax?

Here’s a solution or my opinion:
Have Marvel Studios run Touchstone as there R-Rated Marvel Characters
Division such as Deadpool or Moon Knight, separated from the MCU
Bring back touchstone pictures with more pg-13 and r rated content and if marvel studios wants to make r rated films on there characters...away from the pg-13 MCU...send them to touchstone pictures...therefore Deadpool an r-rated film can go to touchstone pictures and blade, moon knight and ghost rider can go to touchstone under the wing of Marvel.
Besides Marvel and Touchstone owned by Disney.
    Marvel Studios has the MCU
Touchstone Pictures has the R-Rated Marvel Characters
    Marvel Touchstone Universe - MTU
    What do you guys think?

I got some good news! Touchstone is bringing it back from the dead, and I’m not kidding. According to the Variety article that Disney is going to rebrand all three of its TV production properties.
First, Disney dropped the 20th Century Fox Television (aka 20th Television Fox) name and calling it as simply 20th Television where it reverted back to the 1992 logo which is no surprise. I’m glad the 20th Television logo remains unchanged for now.
Next, Disney renamed the former ABC Studios and ABC Signature Studios and calling it as ABC Signature.
And finally, Disney has renamed Fox21 Television Studios to Touchstone Television, and Touchstone is coming back, not for a film studio, only for the TV production side.
I hope you should do a follow-up video about “What Happened to Touchstone” after the RLE’s “American International” episode.
If you have not seen. Here is what it looks like.

I didn't know they no longer did stuff. Wow! But movies like THE PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN FRANCHISE SHOULD have has this, instead of the Disney name, because before hand Disney "never" did anything above a PG rating. Now some former Touchstone movies like THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS now currently have the "3D" Disney Castle that was introduced in 2006
