Jerry Bruckheimer's "Real" Tree from Touchstone Pictures

- One mile from I used to live is a tree just like the one in all of Jerry Bruckheimer's production trailers. I filmed myself speeding up the road to the tree. It is not the same tree as the one in his films, but it's really close.

Can you imagine what it would be like to drive on that road during a thunderstorm?
Shocking!

When I crash into the tree I got electrocuted
It's located a mile outside of Plush, Oregon where I lived for a short while... a truly remote part of the country. The nearest township is 42 miles west in Lakeview, Oregon.
Oh ok,so located near Lakeview,Oregon.
If anyone wants to see the tree in person. Its on Plush Cutoff Road (Co. Highway 3-13), and this stretch starts as your are leaving Plush, and the video begins after you pass the winter season road gate.
Truly the middle of nowhere, but nice scenery.
Its the real tree and road. At the start of the Jerry Brucheimer Films logo, a turn to the left is seen.
Eat Your Heart Out, Jerry Bruckheimer!
@The Weyser Man is Back
Oh, shut up.
Perhaps this is in one of the renditions, or just a very convincing coincidental doppelganger of sorts, but having personally visited the Bruckheimer estate "Walnut Grove," just outside of Bloomfield, KY on many occasions throughout my working career, I can assure you that the tree modeled in the logo was an exact digital rendering of a giant oak that sat almost alone in the middle of a small field on the right side as you entered the main gate to Walnut Grove..
Jerry and Linda are, for the most part, pretty private people.
That said, having access to the property on dozens of occasions through the years, I can say that the farm is an absolute beauty to behold. There are so many cabins and guest houses, lakes, and don't get me started on the immaculate work that their ground crew does to keep the property in pristine condition.
In addition to the main house, guests houses/cabins and the like, the horse barns, stables, and private ice rink are something truly to be marveled at.
They take great pride in preserving the farm, and for that matter, Bloomfield as a whole.
These were not Jerry's stomping grounds, but in fact Linda's.. It seems that even an ambitious/successful man can understand and see the value and beauty of investing in the treasures of the one that he loves. Their story is inspiring in many ways..
They've put so much effort into the preservation of that particular area of our great Commonwealth..
Two brilliant minds, with huge hearts, and humble souls.. ❤
On an ending note, I must admit that I haven't been back to Walnut Grove since 2017ish.. I never heard officially, but it has been rumored that, ironically enough, the centuries old giant oak was struck by lightning and was gravely damaged or nearly destroyed.. I hope it's not true. However, I can't see my source lying about it..
Tree or No tree, they are local icons and staples of the community.
Long live this great couple and the gifts they've brought to our area. 😊
This is where they make Jerry Bruckheimer's logo.
