    Watching this while eating spaghetti bolognese. That portion was probably 3 school meals. Looked lovely. Wait for that music every time you try the food. Great stuff!

    Lovely job . The lard in the paste makes such a difference . Keep the Terry and June music coming Martin.

    That looks so delicious! Another one for the list! I love these recipes! Our lunches were different than yours. Definitely not as much meat. A lot of casseroles. Thank you!

      RetroHax I grew up in Central Oregon. One lunch I remember in particular was turkey noodle casserole with cheddar, lime jello made with minced celery and carrot, a yeast roll, canned green beans and peach, cherry, or apple cobbler. But you got REAL MEAT!

    That food looks great for school food. Our school food involved a box cutter and a microwave. I’d like to see you make Beef Stroganoff.

    If you only have a pastry lid some people will call it a Pot Pie.
    I think I am a little older than you, When I was a kid we were on Free School dinners. This was because I came from a big family. 6 Kids. Back in those days only Dads went to work. Mums stayed at home and looked after it and the kids. So I remember school dinners very well, This was a popular one for all of us

      @bizarreandbrilliant  7 лет назад

      Yes Andrew, I agree but this is how they used to make in in our schools. I prefer a pastry bottom as well.

    You guys start one of these shows, and I think: really? Wonder how that would be? By the time you are finished, I want to make it and eat it and hear the praises from my family.....But, I tell you what, there's no way I could eat that much food without having worked up a good appetite on a 3 or 4 mile walk or with 2 hours of heavy gardening!

    Wow the steak pie looks beautiful, I can't stand pies which have pastry on the bottom, so this would be ideal for me lol. Great vid Sharon and Martin.
    Ps you look like your shedding a lot of weight Martin, what's the secret ???
    Thanks Scott

      The key was cooking the meat the day before Scott. I've cut out the carbs although I've had a week off as it's Sharon's birthday and we've eaten out a few times but I've lost a stone at the moment.
