I remember when the Starkey's bought Kimball Castle, happy that their plan was to restore it.
I live just down Route 11 from the castle and visit it quite often, hiking up the trails on Locke Hill on my way to the Kimball Forest Wilderness area. A nice hike and great views.

Its nice to see this area of Lake Winnie again. I use to visit Weirs a lot in the early 1990's to mid 1990's but it has become over developed and too crowded. Traffic has become so thick I spent hours more sitting vs moving to my location. I still visit NH but in the winters snowmobiling in Pittsburg every year. Even this area has seen a lot of seasonal homes being built with some very high prices.
