A little tip with the floral tape ... sometimes it can be a little sticky after being stretched, if you rub cornstarch or baby powder on it and dust the excess off it eliminates the sticky. Alcohol or hand sanitizer will get the sticky off your fingers.
I have done this before, but was just browsing for any new ideas and came apon your video. It is exactly how I make them! Like me, you're the only one that takes that little cap or pin out from the end of the pen first. No one els I could see on you tube doing that. I do. It turns out more professional, than just gluing the stem to the side of the pen creating that unrealistic bump on that spot. I have a couple of suggestions. One is to slice the Styrofoam ball in half. That way you have a dome so it can sit flat and flush to the bottom of your pot. Also, you can add leaves somewhere under the flower but attached to the pen for a more realistic touch. Make sure to use the floral tape though. Oh, I just thought of what you can use the dish at the bottom of the pot for. You can store paperclips, thumbtacks, or other small items in there. I love your idea though. Thank you for sharing!!!

You can also use dry black beans (fill the pot about 1/2 full), kinda looks like dirt. I love the large flowers that you used.
