    Cleaning your front load washing drum....use one half cup of your no-name listerine original mouthwash in your detergent drawer and voila! You will also find it removes mustiness from clothing/workwear with residual scent gone within 24 hours of drying.

    Adding pods right into drum may cause permanent stains to light coloured/white items when the pod dissolves. Removing the liquid soap dispenser and depositing pod into drawer successfully disintegrates, diluting detergent into the drum.

      OMG. This is a terrible washing machine. Uses very little water. It doesn't let you use PODS at all (not unless you add vinegar to every wash) or you run a separate wash cycle immediately after the wash cycle using a POD - this was explained to me by an LG technician that came to my place to figure out why my brand new machine (just 4 months old) was leaking water - he said the new LG (at least this model) was designed with an "innovative" air vent slit in the back of the machine, for air to escape when closing the washer door (odd!) but instead, if you use PODS, even semi-regularly, it will eventually result in residue build-up and water will overflow out of the back of machine (he showed me a video clip from another recent LG customer with the same problem!). I couldn't figure it out because my unit is stacked and i don't have access to the back (live in a condo). The machine takes 2 hours on "normal" wash cycle and doesn't wash/rinse properly. Just got my LG washer and dryer combo 7150. Was disappointed the dryer didn't come with dryer rack. Had to order it! So doing some laundry right off the bat is not getting done. I am so confused about how to get my laundry soap/sterilizer etc in the load! Had A KENMORE for 27 yrs. A Speed Queen for almost 9. They both had agitators with top dispensers. Hope I made a wise choice. I use liquid detergent and powder booster for wash cycle. How do I do it with these LGs? My old machines I put in the detergent and booster, filled the tub a bit and then added the load. Can't do that with this LG. I also use Lysol Sanitizer in the final rinse cycle? How do I do that with a LG ? The lid locks! There is no final rinse indicator. I missed it the first load. I normally add to rinse cycle after tub fills. Right now I am not having a fun day at all with my new machines! One medium load of towels took over an hour to wash. The Dryer owners manual said not to use dryer sheets - what can you use? I tried to call customer service only to have them transfer me four times and then just disconnect the call when they were finally connecting me to a dept called "dealer tech". I am so very frustrated right now.

Using regular detergent in an HE washer could potentially lengthen the wash cycle, affect the cleaning performance or overflow the machine" sounds like might be using the wrong detergent if you are indeed using Tide regular. You have to use special HE detergent and while Tide do make HE detergent not all of their detergent is HE so you have to carefully check the label before buying.
      Now having said all of that I do agree with you on the clothes not coming out clean. It's ruined several items of clothings for me because it can't get rid of a little make-up or whatever off of my clothes before they go in the dryer and get permanently stained into the fabric.

      I am not sure what kind of pods you have been using but this is a tale tale sign that you have been using too much detergent or you have not been doing the basic maintenance you are supposed to do after every cycle and every 15 days. This means you have a huge buildup of detergent residue in your machine and you have to do a lot more Tub Cleans like youve been doing. Try 6 or 7 Tub Cleans, or until the foam stops coming out the back.

      the liquid dispenser cup has a mini siphon system much like your toilet siphon. When the washer calls for the detergent to be dispensed, it'll begin filling the dispenser cup with water. Like a toilet flushing, the cup will then begin the self draining process and pull the detergent and water mixture into the wash tub. It'll do this a few times when filling to make sure all of the detergent is drawn in. The Bleach and Softener cups have the same siphon system.

    How do you add a blueing detergent for whites?

    • @LGUSA
      @LGUSA  7 месяцев назад

      Hello, there. Good question! Be sure to use HE or high efficiency detergent with your washing machine. If you are using liquid detergent for the main wash, make sure that the liquid detergent cup is used in the main wash compartment to prevent the main wash detergent from being dispensed with a pre wash detergent. For more detailed information, please refer to this link: www.lg.com/us/support/video-tutorials/lg-front-load-washer-detergent-additives-usage-tips-CT10000010-1366655074618#:~:text=Be%20sure%20to%20use%20HE,with%20a%20pre%20wash%20detergent. @@LGUSA I meant to say Blueing Liquid, such as Mrs Stewart. It is not a detergent but added in the rinse cycle, which is not as easily done in a front loader washer. I added it to the bleach and fabric softener cups. Time will tell if that works.

      Yes. Put it in the detergent area. Right as water starts flowing is best. The cup keeps liquids in place till the water flows to dilute it.

    I bought a front load LG washer 2 years ago. The motor broke. I have a 10 year warranty. LG sent the motor but no drum. We called them again. Then they sent a broken drum. We called again. They sent a second broken drum. Then a third time. Another broken drum. We have been doing laundry at the laundromat for almost 2 months now. They said the 4th drum would absolutely be delivered today. Nope. The level of incompetence at this company surpasses anything I have encountered. Do NOT buy LG products!
    Update 02/27/2023 The 4th drum did arrive today…..Broken 😡

    I would NEVER buy a front loading LG washing machine again. Not only does the rubber seal in the main door mold even though it’s left open at all times except when in use, but the dispenser drawer and the entire area it goes into molds too!!! OMG. This is a terrible washing machine!!! LEAKS very easily!!! Uses very little water and this leads to leaking because detergent can't properly rinse away. HORRIBLE product, even worse customer service from both LG and Trail Appliances!!!!
