- This is my biggest Ulua / GT ever caught from shore let alone solo on a plugging/popping rig 💪🏽🤙🏽 and to top it off it was caught on a previously self repaired broken rod🙏🏼👍🏽
This GT ended up feeding 9 families.

@@ganigetum5907 I used to fish off that wall back in the late 70’s as a teenager couple summers. My Uncle John Keawe used to work at the pier for the plantation. He took me dive out there couple times. Good to see da grounds still producing.🤙🏾

Awesome!! I remember catching my first big boy by myself. I was 14 and hiked in a mile. Straight 30lb mono and I hiked back with it. Threw it in a pond and when my pops came back from fishing on the boat he was tripping out. The memories.... yessah!!!!

What rig/knot setup did you use to catch that beast of a fish?
Check out the vid description for my set up. I’ve never used an FG knot on my line to leader though...I don’t believe in it but I always have been using a double swivel at both ends of the leader using trilene knot at both ends🤙🏽
