Yeah this game really mixes up emotions that shouldn't be combined nor have I ever felt so weirded out yet so fullfilled... this game does something do you. The sounds, the scenes... and even the gameplay. This game was just greatly structured overall, the developers just knew what points to hit and how to tell a good story.
I just love the fact that we are all shipping siblings, and none of us wants to realize that what we are doing is somewhat sick. Being serious, I can kind of relate to Ashley, not because I love my sibling or something. But I never had true friends either. Everyone tended to talk badly behind my back as well, and all the people I thought I loved just used me to make fun of me, and then when I felt bad, they would act like I was exaggerating everything, and what they do with me is something that usually friends do. But everything ended on my 9th birthday. That day, none of my friends could assist, but just one did, and we had a nice time. It was not very funny, but at least while I was feeling bad because of the lack of people in my party, he would know how to make things at least acceptable and somewhat memorable, but the next day I found all my friends gathered. Being the one who went to my birthday as the center of attention, he was telling all the people how boring my party was, making fun of me and the appearances of my family, and worst of all, he said he would have never come. I stopped talking with them ever since. They tried to talk with me as usual, but I just ignored them until they were gone and stopped trying. Sometimes they come to me so they can revive the old times, but I still decline. I have no one else but my family ever since. I hope that things get better for me. I am trying to forgive and improve so I do not end up like Ashley or Andrew. So I am fine. Thanks to God, I have been strong enough to go through everything I had to experience.
This might be dull to say and kinda tough but honestly after agreeing somewhat with that (not as bad tho, what a fuck up that people like that are allowed to breathe god damn) the "good" part is if you're strong enough to go through it and still don't let yourself plummet you kinda are just inmune to shitty people, that experiences give you the opportunity to really improve and prove yourself to be a type of person wich the world needs the most, someone who understands that much how the little "stupidest" things wich lucky people have without realizing really matter, and that's pretty damn neat
To be honest this should have been added to your Bird Cage story of COAAL same goes for the other video if only Nemlei and Kit9 learned some notes as an inspiration from you and many others that have developed their own fanfic spin on this trilogy.
I have checked your fanfic of COAAL so far i rate it a 8/10, i liked most of it where it was going however it just needs a little of critiquing about some more character development and the part about Andrew confessing up to Julia it was only half of the truth and not the entire full truth since it excuses a rational reason of their scenarios and circumstances they were put through and had to fight through such trauma Love dynamic between Andy and Leyley is not even the issue i just think that COAAL needs more plot story and backstory development Andrew/Andy and Ashley/Leyley need to realize that they are being haunted by visions and dream sequences by demons, dark counterparts or corrupted spirits that haunt beyond their death yet even the authorities, neighbours, locals and occultists going around are perhaps worse and have been plotting in advance to victimize the innocence or once to be innocent over to black markets or overtly so to sacrificial murder rituals to appease some dark lord for power and more.
Ashley needs to let go of their younger yet older former persona grow even mature a little more and get use to Andrew or even accept the reality that they are the same personification for her and him to accept it as that and leave it at that they must agree to so they can be at peace and no trauma that will endanger themselves.
Something tells me that the visions or memories or dream sequences that mimic Andrew/Andy and Ashley/Leyley as well their advents with false ones that never happened that seem like dark counterparts of them both are perhaps demons.
Plus your fanfic makes me realize how crazy Ashley is and smart in another sense yet she knows that she is in the wrong and doing wrong she can make up for it as much as her brother can for his own faults or mistakes or even accidents yet she never seems to care enough to learn from either yet will regret it enough eventually even care enough when it gets to that point.
Read some more of your COAAL fanfic so far sad, Nemlei and Kit9 could borrow some ideas from you as permission, it is saddening that Andrew and Andy are treated as different personas even his own conscience counterpart of an advent when they are the same except Andrew matured, moved on, accepted his fate even went with the name as Andrew that he chosen to stick with that name however gets haunted by his past self set against him by a Demon while always getting the blame when it is not his own fault he did it to protect and love his sister yet even he knew little of responsibility, neither Andrew/Andy and Ashley/Leyley are really to be blamed yet they accept it as their fault later on as a regretted mistake that needed to be moved on from and let it be at that, they have each other now and should cherish that fact by being by their side together supporting and looking out for each other, after they survive winning against the demons and whatever comes their way they should commit more to each and change some of their ways for the better however it does not mean they should abandon each other either.
My first girlfriend had BPD (that is what Ashley probably has) and so I'm use to having lots of conversations Like these and to fair your writing is very accurate to the real thing. We started going out when we were 13 and I promise her in a very similar way as to this video that I'd always be there for her no matter what. We broke up when we're 15 but we still are close even though she was very toxic at the time isolating me from all my friends and quite a bit of emotional manipulation that I've forgiven her for. We're both 20 now and I only see her once a week now but we're still close. Not in a relationship way but more like family (No joke intended).
