    I’m a new succulent lover. 9B/Florida. They’ve done amazing in a yard with mostly direct sun and everything else dies (for the most part 😂). I found another succulent mama. Yay 🎉

    So happy to see your video. Once a week is not enough, Shy. We want MORE!! 😁
    Thanks for sharing. Im in the US in Sacramento, CA and we are just heading into fall. Spring and summer are my preferred seasons; however, my succulents and cacti make me appreciate the cooler weather. The past couole years I keep wanting to plant a garden in addition to my pots. Hopefully i can do that next spring. Your videos are relaxing and inspiring. Thanks!

    Your garden bed soil is so fresh looking. Did you fill them with fresh soil before originally planting out? You’re inspiring me to get back into my succulent garden and dead potted succulents. I’ve ignored them for so long, it’s overwhelming!

    • @the.morning.chorus
      @the.morning.chorus  Месяц назад

      I did! They weren’t completely empty, the beds sit on top of ground soil not concrete, so I just topped them up with fresh mix 🙂

    Dumb question but what is an onion weed? Is it an onion?

    • @the.morning.chorus
      @the.morning.chorus  Месяц назад +1

      Not a dumb question at all, it looks like an onion but doesn’t belong to the onion family. It’s edible (I think you can use them in place of garlic chives…?), just not endemic to Australia, so its invasiveness classifies it as a weed.

    • @New-Hat-Gardening
      @New-Hat-Gardening Месяц назад

      @@the.morning.chorus got it! Thanks! Anything related to garlic is a friend of mine. I’d have to at least try it or use as a garnish perhaps 🫢

    Onion weeds are such a pest, I have nut grass and the neighbours have planted Tuberous sword fern/Boston fern along the fence and it has wires and nuts underground and is impossible to get rid of, I am so cranky as I have suck a big job but they think it is lovely and green Ugh! I can think of worse words !!!

      @the.morning.chorus  Месяц назад

      Ugh, Francke that’s gotta be the worst when neighbours keep colonising weeds around because they think it looks lush. 😒 Sending you all the willpower to stay on top of it! 💕
