I have Mbunas since ten years, and I love to see their natural behavior and the breeding process. Of course female fishes are sometimes not as beautiful as the male fishes, but that's life.
Guys if you don't know fish please don't comment. I see that your saying he is overcrowding, when it is very good to overcroud that type of fish. And all makes may not be natural but nobody wants 500 of those babies in a tank. Please do research
You be quite second tank 1 clown loach is really cruel because they are a swarm fish!!! Also many male chichlids together with females is also very bad.
@@ogdistance9435 with African cichlids you need to overstock the tank to diffuse aggression this one seems a bit over the top but I wouldn’t say it’s necessarily hurting the fish and I’m sure he has a big ole sump to take care of fish waste and does a lot of water changes. If you had only a few of these fish in a big tank they will pretty much beat one to death out of dominance

I wish i could upvote this video a 1000 times. This is literally the steroid infused reason for the fact that MALAWI cichlids are known as the most colorful freshwater fish. Think about it for a second. What other freshwater fish natural or unnatural has the same vibrant color as Malawi cichlids. Wager me a Electric Blue Acara and i wager a Firefish Aulonocara back. That single Lake is literally carrying the freshwater hobby on its back. Don't come at me with any clown loach or guppy. As i will name 10 Malawi cichlid in its place. Great looking tank and godspeed to all Malawi hobbyists. I have some great looking F1, and are trying to save some threatened ones. Offering pure fish in the hobby for a great price. So others can enjoy the thing i cherish as well.

Malawi's over stocking reduces territorial confliction and hierarchy.
Regardless most of them are females anyways. His tank will be just fine with that many in there
