Thanks for the upload from an ex postman. I worked during the last 'golden era' when the start times were later, there was job and finish, overtime started as soon as you finished your round, we still had our bikes and it was a 5 week day with a great pension.
Some Great memories of working on royal mail for 18 years , driving Morris marina vans , mini vans etc , suffering from food poisoning from the staff canteen because of reheated food from breakfasts . given to staff on late shifts , being sacked because of late attendances which were made up without pay anyway sick days because of injury especially a back injury I suffered in 1989 that still flares up and compensation claim conveniently mislaid rubbish company to work for .

I got a RM 2002 Pilot that i hope to keep running,the last of 70s British enginering..

Next time you see a mail van go past, see how many dents and bumps you can count, I always find this entertaining as I sit in non moving traffic.
Iv’e driven a lot off these vehicles in this video over a 23 year career in the City off London and not one single dent each van had lots off em 😂😂😂😂
