- I often switch off between bringing Kiwi and Pixel downstairs to change out their water and food. Today, it was Kiwi’s turn. Kiwi wasn’t in a talking mood, but of course, as soon as I started rendering the final video, he started talking a bunch.

I had a blue budgie like in the video. The cage was open all day. And every time I came home, it flew to me and greeted me in person.
Didn't it poo everywhere?

Lol for my birds they have different days. Some days my budgie and cockatiel will just wake up very tired and want to sleep. Other days my cockatiel screams for me to take the cover off so she can see the morning sun

Die beiden sind sooo niedlich! Ich staune nur, wie leise sie sind. Erst nach über eineinhalb Minuten kam der erste Ton und auch weiterhin halten sie sich sehr zurück. Meine drei Racker krakeelen schon im Dunkeln unter der Decke.

My bird never wants to leave his cage. And if I take him out, he'll fly back into it on his own within a couple minutes.
theangrybrave slowly get him use to it then if it’s comfortable then you can take it out
I found a weak dove one time and nursed it back to health. My budgie was like yours. Never left the cage. I introduced the budgie to the dove . The budgie came out of the cage and tried to mate with the dove. It was funny. I took the dove away and turned it loose. It was ok. The budgie was totally different after that , playful and social. You may need to get another bird to make yours snap.

@Evil Parakeets I don't think English is their mother language....My mother language is Finnish. Should I demand you to speak perfect Finnish? 🙄 There are a lot of people here on youtube whose mother language isn't English. But many people, mostly American's, seems to forget that 🤷♀️

They are so cute. 💕 and I had an old sweet couple the same colours blue the girl , green boy Nony and Nona about 13 years old the had ,but now up there with angels.
Every night when we was closing the light for sleeping, the boy was *speaking by a some unic sound . They new what this mean and so everytime we said a "good night " Also they had much babys. And I was so in love for taking care of. .

Those are two nice parayeets you got there. I used to have some, some flew away, some died, but we got rid of our last one because we were allergic to it. Well we're allergic to them now. Sometimes I get green with envy watching parakeets, but I still enjoy watching/listening to them nonetheless. Any ways, have a great day or night.

It’s funny how ‘keets even know they’re not given attention to this fact by many people, have their own funny little personalities! I’ve had four in my lifetime, the first one her name was ago and she was a white bungee with yellow tipped wings and she was really shy and clingy to me and I only had her for three days before she unfortunately passed away from unknown causes. When I got a greenish one, of he was mainly yellow though, strangely enough. I named him hug and he was really loud and love to sing and I got to sing a few of my favourite songs in theme songs from the show I watched a lot, but he ended up passing away about a year later from unknown causes as well, we assume he might have eaten something because we had housework done the day before he died and we had to repaint the walls and stuff so we think you might of eaten something fell in his cage. Then I got another one, I named him cracking and he was a blue one a lot like pixel but he is a little bit more teal, I loved him very much and I had in for about five years and he went through several depressed fate phases but me and him always stick together and we were always there for each other and he was really happy but he missed me a lot when I had to go to school and stuff, Brandon getting so worried that he missed me whenever I was gone that I ended up getting him a mate because I didn’t want him to get too depressed and lonely without me so I got the bird I have currently, her name is citrus and she is a yellow bungee with white on her wings ironically. She’s really shy and she hates to be held dislikes small spaces, She’s fine with the perch, but when you try and hug her or put her with your hand completely over her back she will freak out. About three months ago or so marked the five years that I had crack on and he ended up passing away unfortunately while my family was on a trip and we left them with my neighbours in so I ended up getting a cockatiel so citrus didn’t get lonely now she won’t let me hold her at all because she is mad at me or something I don’t really know. The cockatoo I have now is named Mercury, he is a white cheek I believe and he is light grey with white highlights and I’ve only had it for about a month but he is the sweetest bird in that short period of time I think I’ve ever met besides echo.

You sure do know how to take good care of them budgies. Had budgies my whole life and learned alot on the way (is 27years old now). The only advice I would like to give, is to be careful with those cotton "perches". The ones on the top of the cage to the left. They might chew on them and ingest it.

Thank you! Fortunately they don't chew on the cotton perches but it's good warning for people whose birds do chew those types of things.

I've heard birds are really messy, especially when they're eating. How are your walls so clean? Are they just not as messy or do you wash them often?
The cage helps a lot with that since they eat at the bottom and the bottom of the cage is walled in with the transparent plastic. After feeding carrots or apples, there is some wall scrubbing involved.

That is soo interesting, you just wake them up/uncover them. And you can immediately put your hand in the cage and just let them step up. That's impressive.
My little guy, once you wake him up you need to leave him alone until he's fully awake or else he'll be aggressive when you put your hand in his cage as soon as you wake him up. Lol.
He always lived his sleep, but yet is hard to put him too bed since he's a night owl. LoL
Ours were hand raised from hatching so they’re 100% tame to human hands

We miss our budgie ' blue ' , she was rescued from a cat attack. We.had her for 5 ish years but , them 5 yrs were so funny .She would have the cage open during the day , for her to have full use of the room .Would sit behind my Mrs ear pruning her hair .

My conure’s morning routine is to beg for a peach or plum and then afterwards crawl up and down in my shirt.
I kinda feel sad now . Because my cage is almost as big as one of yours.. its definetly small and me parents refuse to get a bigger one because they say it's enough.. but you know what I need happy birds! So I tried their cage door open so they can litterally leave whenever they want! The poop everywhere and are still a bit scared of my finger, but hey. They have freedom and they're calm! That's all I need 😊💙💚
