Beautiful art piece. Using of the cling film was a very clever idea. No more messy fingers or torn tissue.

Is it good for keeping soap inside? Does the water affects the tissue ?

Does the saran wrap prevent wrinkles?

Yes it allows you to press the napkin into all the grooves on the shell, without it tearing or sticking to your fingers. HTH

Do you let the modge podge dry between the first layer and second or can you put the modge podge on, add the tissue, and put the next layer of modge podge immediately? Also, what do you use to protect and finish it?

Hi Christen I find if you let the Mod Podge dry under the napkin first, it's much less likely to rip when you apply the next coat over the top. To protect and varnish, I use DecoArt DuraClear Gloss Varnish (Amazon )for a super shiny appearance, that doesn't chip when you put jewellery or keys in your shell. HTH
