One of the better videos but she cross contaminates by balling up the towel in her hands. You also want to open the door with a towel so you don't further cross contaminate your hands while exiting the bathroom.
How can the wastage of water is stopped during the process of handwash ? I think the automatic taps should do good as till you dry your hands the water is running continuously hence getting wasted.
We should be wasting as much water as possible as it is responsible for thousands of deaths each year look at the titanic for instance, just like those bastard rain forests as well cut em down before they kill more of us with their dangerous animals and such
not just that......wrists wet.....touching back a contaminated faucet with her arm...she could use the paper towel there instead....a batch of errors which as a nurse, has me worried.
I *really* hope that this absurdly quantity of wasted water during the washing of her hands is only for this great video; otherwise we may die not because of bacterias, but by not having enough treated water for everyone.
That would have re-contaminated her hands. Also use paper towel to open door. Foot pedals and automatic water faucets really save a lot of water and are great for not spreading germs at that point of contact.
I am surprised and disappointed that she did not include up until the elbows like surgeons do. Esp important even for lay people in summer time and subtropical weather since people sneeze into there elbows and forearms mostly now.
We are told to use, elbows to turn the taps on and off, to stop re-contamination of the hands. You should not dry that way as the droplets may contain bacteria. You are supposed to dry from the fingertips down, one paper at a time. Just shows how people do things differently and there is no consistency in teaching and therefore decides the outcome of what is learnt!
you don't turn off the faucet when you're washing your hands. the water should flow from the least contaminated to the more contaminated area. It's a manual faucet not a knee or foot controlled one.
My Nursing program did not teach or assess hand washing. It was basically the first social ice-breaker class, but they didn't instruct like this at all. I'm not sure the instructors knew how to wash their hands that well. Some didn't even seem to grasp that hands could be contaminated past the wrist. But they did use the black light, which students thought was "cool", but I'm not sure they understood what the point was. Be afraid. Be very afraid...
Verrry carefully. In all seriousness, it's true that humans are quite resilient, but MRSA is a particular problem among homeless populations in shelters. It's not that being dirty is the problem-- it's being dirty around many other dirty people, and potentially having unhealed wounds.
Id understand if its surgical handwashing but regular? TURN THE DAMN FAUCET OFF. What a waste of water and to think, resources are not easily replaceable with the amount of demand in this planet anymore.
that should fix the problem... more people will die in hospitals, and there'd be more water for the rest of us.. cleanliness has it's place. and today, the only way to clean is by using water. there was a time when doctors didn't wash their hands between handling patients.. a lot of people died in hospitals, and nobody knew why..
Why are you treating it like such a dichotomy? Like she can only do one or the other. It wouldn't be hard to take a second to turn off the water with her elbow. Of course she should be worried about spreading disease but considering how the world's water resources are going it would be a good foresight to stop wasting so much, or become vegetarian.
What's with all the WASTE talk!? I'd rather that she "waste" that much water instead of spreading the kinds of bacteria you find in hospitals. If you want the doctors not to "waste" that much water before performing surgery on you, go ahead and tell'em - I seriously hope you are smart not to.
wrong! none of u so called nurses know how to wash ur hands....ur soppose to turn on the focets on with two different paper towels...use are making me fail my CNA test for handwashing
Good video! One of the best on RUclips.
Great tutorial, but it would have been nice to see the final result under the UV light for comparison.

Don't wash your hands, it's bad for the environment maaaan! idiot
You should also wash your full wrists as well. That is how we do it going into GMP areas
i wash my wrists else well
So how do you open the washroom door to come out if you threw your paper towel out first?
yeah, this is where all there germs live, on that door handle!
kick it
So you use alcohol rub before hand washing? How does that make sense cause I always use hand sanitizer after I wash my hands
3:39 using the paper towel to touch the dirty handle, then putting the contamined paper towel in ur right hand with the dirty side to ur hand -.-
Mkoll ,
not just that......wrists wet.....touching back a contaminated faucet with her arm...she could use the paper towel there instead....a batch of errors which as a nurse, has me worried.
Thanks for this video. Was very helpful
Thank you so much, this is very useful.
Wow!!! it was educative.
How much the ultraviolet light for when I wash my hands next time?
these germs exist, well done. they aren't bad.
learnt something here.good video
What is that black thing and where can I buy it? I want one for me. It would be so awesome to use.
It's just a "black light". I think you can get them at places like Wal-mart. Have fun!
I *really* hope that this absurdly quantity of wasted water during the washing of her hands is only for this great video; otherwise we may die not because of bacterias, but by not having enough treated water for everyone.
Vinicius Fonseca ok
This is the best tutorial video of practicing hand hygiene. However, I wish she had turned off the water while scrubbing and drying her hands.
That would have re-contaminated her hands. Also use paper towel to open door.
Foot pedals and automatic water faucets really save a lot of water and are great for not spreading germs at that point of contact.
Nope
@@eavening4149 Yes after using washroom in public places, we wash our hands but after washing hands, we open door of restroom so it's contamination 😌😌
she fucked up when she grabbed the wink with her hands before washing it. you have to grab it with a paper towel to prevent contaimating the handles
What if paper towel has bacteria?
best vid ever!!!
Pretty relevant now.
the water was running for a bit over 50 seconds and she didnt touch the water for over 5 seconds even!!!
I am surprised and disappointed that she did not include up until the elbows like surgeons do. Esp important even for lay people in summer time and subtropical weather since people sneeze into there elbows and forearms mostly now.
Why did you disposed the dirty paper towels in the yellow bin??
Good question!

Thank You
This hasn't ever been more relevant
Good useful video
I would prefer this is re-done as the steps in the Ayliffe technique she tried to demonstrate have not been followed strictly.
corona fam where you at?

thanks for yr guide mam....

Be afraid. Be very afraid...
It was in our first week of lectures, we all did this practical.😨
Great video!! I cant help but cringe every time she leaves the tap running without using the water though hahaha
You just can't leave like that, lady - we were bonding
And now I pull my tie out , watch back on and I'm back

Bom dia a todos!
Não esqueçam de fechar a torneira enquanto ensaboam ou enxugam as mãos, para não gastarmos água desnecessariamente.
thank you for this!
BuzzFeedVideo brought me here..
BuzzFeedVideo brought me cancer...
"Nerdologia" brought me here!
my problem is that there's always soap remaining on my hand
Simple, I just lick it off, or get a mate to do it for me
Good
Po-faced would be putting it mildly! 'Sing 2-3 verses of Happy Birthday to time your handwashing' - yeah right.
hello miata from 8 years ago
Let it drip. You never shake your hands after you wash your hands. Or else you will fail.
Two seconds after washing all bacteria coming back.
Good tutorial, but it seems as though she didn't rinse the soap off very well. That would surely dry hands out.
and I'm sure drying hands with seperate paper towels is required
nice video super
Waste? as in poop?
Holy fuck! It's Bernard from Westworld.
nails shd be trimed
3 pieces of paper towels are a bit to much for 2 hands...
How did I get here from M.O.A.B explosions
Mau ngumpulin merchant grabfood.. 😁
Ok.
Good - except that is NOT how you dry the hands - and you are not supposed to flick off the water - I'd mark 6/10
Smh coronavirus brought it here
Id understand if its surgical handwashing but regular? TURN THE DAMN FAUCET OFF. What a waste of water and to think, resources are not easily replaceable with the amount of demand in this planet anymore.
Thought the hospital's were over-run, she should be doing some work on all those with this imaginary disease.
who tf takes this long to wash their hands though lol
I take 30 mins. I have OCD.
I don't wash my hands, Here in Texas they teach you not to pee on your hands.
that should fix the problem... more people will die in hospitals, and there'd be more water for the rest of us..
cleanliness has it's place. and today, the only way to clean is by using water.

its the
I don't wash my hands after I go to the bathroom. I've only been sick twice in the last 12 years.
My honest reaction to that information: 🤮🤮🤢🤢🤮🤮🤢🤢
Her hands are a wee shakey. Out late the night before me guess?
Get rid of the wedding ring
SHAKE IT LIKE BACTERIA
ظفارها قد سخط وتقولك بكتيريا خخخ بكتيريا كامل في ظفارك😒

Use at least 10L of water...or more!!!!!!🙈🙈

Yeah madam, you still need to learn how to save water!
To wash your arse simply sit in the sink
Such wastewater and hand paper- -
what a waste of water, if you going to talk for 2 mins turn the water off first
Hallo liebes Händewaschenteam
dieses video ist der größte dreck den ich seit langem auf RUclips gesehen habe.
Liebe Grüße,
Lukas Zerz
Why am I here
Again another video wasting a lot of water, please water is precious don't waste it.
You are wasting fresh water.
What's with all the WASTE talk!?

What a joke.....so many many errors......
Before reading comments I saw wasting so much in water , so just remove this video or change it ..
wrong! none of u so called nurses know how to wash ur hands....ur soppose to turn on the focets on with two different paper towels...use are making me fail my CNA test for handwashing
