What makes SC so scary is: on any given night someone different can show up as the momentum weapon that is needed for the team. Kitts played efficient defense and offense and I was SO excited to see these ladies continue an undefeated streak. Way to go SC and Dawn!

What!!! 💯! This was the BEST, lockdown defense she’s played to date as a Gamecock. So proud to witness that performance. She was an incredible momentum changer for us. She balled out in the minutes she was given. That’s how you earn more time in Dawn’s system. 👏🏽❤

Also gotta say Raven Johnson doesn't get enough credit.. Amazing point guard..She's got size, she's athletic, very fast, has amazing footwork and stayed focus the entire game. I must say my team is Nc State but you guys are virtually unstoppable.
Raven is awesome. She’s a true point guard that knows when to slow the pace and when to speed it up. Not to mention, she’s a heck of a ball passer. Look up some games when she played on the USA team with Angel Reese over the summer.

Kim is an exceptional motivator. As the years pass she and her LSU team will hand SC their share of losses. You're crazy if you think either Dawn or Kim is going to consistently beat the other. It won't happen. It's going to be a great rivalry 🎉

And 2 of the 3 wins Dawn has over Kim were against.....
1) Last year's National championship LSU.
2) This year's "superteam" LSU. (Preseason #1)
So Dawn has beaten what are supposedly 2 of Kim's best teams, so it's not like Staley has beaten them when they're down or in a bad place.

Chloe kitts is so versatile. She’s able to post up and score, get rebounds, and play the parameter that’s talent. She’s not talked about enough.

That was one of the best games of the year! It's to bad anyone had to lose that game. I am going to have to run this game back, it was that good! Even though LSU lost, it is the best game that I have seen them play this year. If they keep playing like they did tonight, then they will go a very long way in the NCAA. With the freshies gone bro many people thought South Carolina's glory was going to end but since that game in Paris these ladies proved they are more than ready and they still have that champion DNA.
I can't wait to see them play in the Final Four this year. They are going to win the SEC championship and reclaim what was fucking theirs.

Agreed. Kim calling a timeout to yell at the ref really shows the difference between her and Dawn. Yeah, Dawn gets upset but she doesn’t let it take her from the strategy. It’s what makes coaches like her and Pat so great. Definitely a fun game to watch!

Most people clap for Reese, but Aneesha Morrow was the X factor that kept LSU viable..and the other player with the mustache...uhm...Mikaylah Williams. Both had outstanding games. However, S. Carolina came with a team mentality and they remained cohesive throughout the battle. Kitts was balling on offense, Cordoso came alive after the halftime...PaoPao hit timely shots from mid range and Brea Hall...electric in this game...cant forget about Raven Johnson is a true court general....#forevertothee

I actually like HVL, she's a shooter. The system at Louisville fit her style of play. She is excellent off the dribble. Its harder to come to a new team, play in a tougher conference and have the same success. @@realtalk423

Aye, as a man an adult male that grew up playing sports, I watch more female sports than anything else, but my girls do not know how to market right, as well as ESPN does a poor job also. This is was the best game of the week!!!! I mean damn 😭😭😭😔😔 that inside battle was awesome 💯😎👍, and Krazy. The coaching battle was bananas. Wat more female celebrities gotta start supporting as well as the rest of the women in the free world. If it's the women's time to shine the women have to support all not just some, a little bit, or sub groups!!!

Dawn stated that "Cardoso needs to want the ball" Second half Cardoso got the ball. Credit LSU for coming out with a lot of enthusiasm, but SC was to deep.
Cardoso got the ball in the second half because she was pushed to do so; on her own, she is not naturally dominant. Best thing happen to her is when Coach Staley sat her on the bench for an extended period...she played her best ball after she came back in.

what a game ,that was a championship game,no doughts about that,lsu lead the game until in the late in the fourth quarter,when they lost it,but they rebound back to equal the score when angel reese fowled out ,but if reese had not fowled out mabe lsu would have won the game.

We played like garbage for 75% of this game!! I''m still in disbelief that we actually won given our performance. This game reminded me so much of how SC played against Iowa last year. Our only saving grace was that we were able to hit a couple of buckets in the end. I hope this was a wakeup call for SC. Can we get someone to tell Cardoso that she's 6'7 not 5'0!!
This is incorrect. LSU outplayed SC in the first quarter only. SC won the last three quarters especially the 4th with a 24-10 advantage where they finally took the lead. Game’s played for 40 minutes and SC plays the long game. LSU was home up 11 points. No excuses. Champions must know how to close the deal.
SC is the Androids. LSU are the z Fighters. Androids never run out of stamina.

Look at how many substitutions Dawn Staley did in the first half. It was rested player after rested player in waves being thrown at the LSU starting five. They were crushing it, but they started to tire out. With an adequate bench, this team would be dangerous. Hmmmm kind of like last year, huh? Mulkey has botched this season with her pitiful roster choices. The portal should have been used better. Another big should have been acquired and A REAL PG. God forbid AR gets hurt. South Carolina has 5 bigs. WTF is Mulkey doing?

Great game. Wish angel didn’t foul out. Hopefully 23 the fresh will get better by March madness she had a few good defense plays. I love that flaujae is always consistent. LSU took too many unnecessary 3s to me in the first quarter. Loved the cordosso and Reese matchup. I wanted lsu to win but South Carolina isn’t undefeated for nothing.

3:36 I want to point this out so we all can see this dirty tactic and the depths of it. Holly Rowe said tickets avg. $100 and the highest ticket sold was $1,300. What happened to the $3k and $4k tickets? Somebody, probably LSU booster club brought a ton of tickets at an average of $100 and put them up for resell at $3k. Only ones that would make a ticket that outrageous don't want you to buy it. Their goal was to price South Carolina out. I'm sure LSU fans got those same $3k tickets for $100 or free even. How many fams you saw in the crowd? What could they have told Reese and Morrow basketball related to make them cancel their visit to SC? On top of all that they had social media flooded all day with these ticket fake ticket prices. It's maybe nothing to some but just play ball, all the lil extra stiff is really corny.
It was a home game for LSU, yet the camera man and the announcers only showed the white girl who just transferred to LSU parents. I know other kids parents were at that game especially Flau'jae Johnson since she has a lot of family that live in Louisiana.

Great game, ladies! South Carolina!!! Coach, fantastic job!
Hopefully a tight game like this gives a lot of learning experience for these girls. Watkins was not ready for this moment and Morrow was making her look awful. Cardoso looked timid at times and was manhandled by Reese through most of it. Hoping this puts into reality what they'll be facing in the tournaments and gets them more focused and let's them grow to be more ready for those moments.
Definitely was the crowd va Carolina they weren’t themselves but to be down double digits hostile environment shows how resilient they are
Morrow scored on Watkins one time. How you make somebody look bad scoring once?
Scored on her once. Ran the same play right after but dumped it off instead and was late to respond. She also got 2 early fouls on Morrow/Reese and had to sit most of the first half. Then she had the turnover where she threw it down the court to nobody trying to pass it out of the lane. She only had 12 minutes but had multiple issues. Will hopefully help her development but every time she touched the ball or was on defense she looked outclassed.

The coaching was terrible for LSU 73-70 and they shooting 3s Kim should’ve told them to play for a 2 and wasting they last timeout not even under a minute was a bad decision by Kim as well she costed them and HVL and Williams had bad shot taking decisions and it costed them and Reese bad fouling costed them the whole team is as their ✌️

14:40 Reese hold Watkins arm, Watkins called for the foul. 40:05 Flaujae attempted murder on Feagin. 1:11:20 Van Lith spin and drop a shoulder into Raven, Raven gets a foul.
This game wasn't as poorly officiated as I thought. The 3 above and Morrow pushed somebody in the back like she was pushing a sled at football camp. KC did appear to foul Reese once that wasn't called and then at least 3 calls or no calls a piece that was iffy. Truth be told I appreciate some of the no calls. The refs really let them play. I refereed a few lil league games, I almost got into fights with parents and coaches. The job isn't easy to see stuff in real time and not sure you say it at the same time is a rough scenario to be in. The iffy fouls I can live with but the blatant fouls is what get on my nerves. Salute to both schools for a classic game.

Honestly, I think she was slowing them down. And being at LSU’s home court with that kind of electric crowd is already an adrenaline pumping experience that takes a lot of energy out of you. All in all, SC’s shots just weren’t falling as consistently as they do throughout the game and they still pulled it out.
Dawn always stays calm and sticks to the script. SC is always a second half team. When you take the other teams best shot on the chin to start every game you have to wear them down with depth in the second half. The issue is when you throw out your second squad and they pick up 2 fouls in 3 mins like Watkins did it means you have to preserve your own stamina too.
The pace was quick and there was no way that LSU wasn't feeling it towards the end. You could see it with the mental mistakes on Van Lith. Then Reese picking up that last foul was a moment she didn't think through.
