Loaded it up for you to test it out, and it has been patched...not sure how much, but definitely has because the gun shot noise when hit has been taken away. Hope this helps!
I've been playing for about a week, the shield is working now, but I've also had a crash which was annoying. I didn't lose any progress and only the 1 crash so far when transitioning from 1 area to another on a load screen. Totally agree that I wish the map was easier to read... it's really hard to tell where you need to go next. I got luck and found the tree stump by accident, just wandering! Your point about taking multiple hits consecutively is definitely spot on... but I will say this, if you pull up shrubs instead of wacking them with the sword, green health hearts are plentiful in most areas, so it's not hard to replenish depleted health on demand.
$39.99! I thought this was a typo when I saw this on the eshop. For the sake of comparison, Nier Automata is coming out this week and is also priced at $39.99. I mean, this looks fun, but holy hell this is a STEEP asking price for a Zelda clone. Here's hoping for a sale of about 80% or more.
that's a shame I've always believed if you sell something cheaper you will make more money but these guys went way over board...this game should be a 20 dollar game!! there are several games like this that I would rather spend my money on I actually went to purchase it on PSN but it quickly changed my mind when I saw the price as the same happened for more ppl than just myself that means when this game goes on sale it will be around 25 dollars which is where it should be right now so I still won't purchase because I am wanting a sale at around 9.99... good review thank u
Thanks for the review. I totally agree with the gunshot sound, this has to be fixed immidiately because it's very annoying and ruin this game. The game crashes on me every 1 or 2 hrs. Hope the dev patches it soon. For me this game is 7/10, maybe 8/10 if the price was around $20 .
@@Ogles I saw a video of gameplay from the Xbox version, and the sound effects are correct with no gunshot sound. Seems to only be a problem in the Switch version.
I just wanted to add that I have been playing a ton of the PS4 version of this game, and as of now with about 4 hours in I have had no issues. A lot of the reviews I've been seeing are specifically for the switch version of this game, and I believe making a port of a Zelda like game on an official Nintendo console already hurt this games appeal. As someone who has been playing a ton of the Zelda Collector's Edition on GameCube, I can say without a doubt this does copy pretty much everything Zelda has done. But someone who wants to play a Zelda like game with better controls and a deep and rewarding experience on a Playstation system, I think this is a great buy for $20. I was skeptical when I bought this game because of all the bad reviews about how it's performed and the very lackluster information on it as a whole, but after putting some time into it I believe the PlayStation version is far superior in terms of optimization. On the gameplay side I have seen a lot of people complaining that they get lost in the game does not tell you where to go or what to do, but from what I can see for this version the game does tell you very detailed information on the map screen with the L3 button. It tells you which dungeons you should do first and where most of the heart melons are located. I do agree that the dungeons can be slightly too dark, I don't think it's too much of a detriment to the actual gameplay. The enemies are also really fun to fight and feel like they have telltale signs and patterns that you can look out for, you just really have to pay attention to the enemies themselves. So far the dungeons I have experienced have been interesting and fun, and while I respect Zelda for what it has done, I do think this game copies it pretty well so far. The game also gives plenty of hints and objectives if you talk to NPCs and explore the world and pay attention to the world itself. The game's world can be difficult but I think that was intentional, as when I play certain Zelda games I feel like the combat at one point will get extremely easy and it's more about the adventure. With the exception of Ocarina of Time and Link to the Past being incredibly challenging throughout. I just wanted to say if anyone does want to get this game I would say get it on a Playstation system or possibly do some more research on the other systems as finding information about this game is difficult, and I believe that is because of the switch versions performance and the fact that a Zelda clone on a system that already has Zelda probably didn't help this game anyway. I will add more to this review possibly as I completely game, as I do think this game deserves a little bit more attention and playing it I can feel the amount of effort someone has put into it. Once I completed I'll add a little bit more but till then I just wanted to update this review with a little bit more information for anyone who wants a Zelda like game on a platform that doesn't have this type of game that often hope this helps for anyone who's looking into this game😊
Thanks for the update and extra information about the different versions of the game! Perhaps I'll load it back up and give the new patches a try soon!
I think $40 is perfect. You aren’t paying modern triple A prices for a retro triple a experience. With games being $70, I don’t find much value in games worth under $25 anymore Edit: spend an extra little cash to get a full Zelda like experience
I think at about $20 it would be worth it, and I'm sure some patches have dropped for the game by now that has helped it perform better. Thanks for watching!
Zelda borrowing aside this looked pretty decent. Shame about the niggles though (the gunshot SFx😮). I don’t think my shrinking brain could handle the reduced map either 😁. Have a wonderful weekend 👍😊🕹️
The reduced map is so confusing why they made it that way, lol, like the other one is in the game but just can't be accessed very often at all. Maybe they'll fix it and a few other glitches while they're at it. Thanks for watching!
leave the chickens alone man. 😅 awesome review; you saved me the steep $40 asking price that this game is going for. from what i saw and heard during your review, i felt as though the game just isn't worth it.
Just got my key yesterday as a backer of the campaign and after playing for 15 minutes, I'm already a bit disappointed. The game still has so many issues: - long loading times between screens - no skipping of the dialogues - controls seem somewhat sluggish - menu navigation is not optimized (e.g. no tab change with L/R) - sound problems (opening/closing doors sounds like an extremely loud gunshot, identical sounds for hits, chest etc.) - German translation (e.g. the "Apply" in main menu) - graphics: weak contrast on handheld display in dark areas (e.g. Duengeon #1) - short cool-down after hits I hope they will fix these asap, since the game surely has some potential.
My first time seeing this channel! Great Honest Review! You did a good job explaining the pros and cons you experienced with Airoheart! I'm going to subscribe and check out your other reviews! Thanks! This game though looks too much like A Link To The Past Hack/Mod but it looks and sounds a bit worse than the original game. If Airoheart was $10 brand new, I would've impulse bought it. At a $40 starting price tag, it's unlikely I'll ever play this game.
Thanks for watching man! And yeah this game is pretty fun but quite over priced. I’d say for $10 it’d be worth it but who knows if the developers will ever mark it down that much :/
I have this terrible glitch that won't let me activate a portal device with a magic water bag. Completely game breaking considering its required for progression.
It’s a Nintendo switch game I’m not sure why people are surprised at the price, Nintendo is ruthless!! I still haven’t played Mario odyssey cuz it still costs 79.99$ Canadian
@@nymbosox84 He really was! And I was surprised he left without Beck too. They've been making material together for years, well before SNL so I guess I just assumed they'd continue, lol. But he will def be missed this year.
This actually looks way to similar to a link to the past and to me it’s a negative. At least be somewhat creative and original. I understand borrowing ideas and designs from games, but when it’s this blatant, it feels like a generic version to me. This coming from someone who has link to the past in my top 5 all time

Very annoying and very loud gun shot sound plays when you get hurt and open a treasure chest. Same dumb sound for two irrelevant things. And that sound is stupid loud compared to the rest of the volume.
It really is one of the most distracting things in the game and seems like it was just a stand in sound they forgot to change. Hopefully they’ll patch it out bc it really does affect enjoyability.
