Not yoga mat related, but - eight years! Wow! You go girl :) Thank you for sharing your practice and your journey with us. I love how you show us all the ways yoga can be part (a big and healthy one) of one's everyday life, and how it affects and shapes the mind - also in retrospective (dealing with the past, figuring out, giving perspective). Ok, now back to the mats! Love from Italy, xx

I use the pro Manduka mat and it has a lifetime warrenty. I love it, it's thick and keeps me balanced. You didin't really mention the thicknes of the mats, which is what I feel is very important. Sometimes its way to airy and it's hard to do balance exercises on.

I've had my manduka for over 2 years. I think what you need is some sort of cleaning oil for the mat. I do yoga every day. After a few days of use, the mat starts to be a bit slippery. But the cleaning oil restores that grip instantly. Because I don't roll the mat up, I also noticed some dust collected on the mat, it's probably a good practice to apply the cleaning oil after every use 🙂

I have maduka pro lite for the last 6 years and love it too. I practiced on a 10€ pilates mat for almost 2 years then went for a manduka because of the lifetime guarantee. Thought it seemed eco to buy once. No regrets. I don't slip at all but I'm not a hugely sweaty person. When it's 40°C here in Portugal I keep my microfibre travel towel beside me to wipe palms and forehead if necessary... it still looks like when I bought it and I'm on my mat daily. I do wipe it down weekly and treat it with love though.

I adore my YogiBare mats. I have a few of them as I like to switch mats according to my mood. Best I’ve ever owned. I have a Manduka Pro that I can’t use as it’s just stupidly slippery. £100 is a lot to spend on a mat you can’t use. No issues at all with my YogiBare ones though. Superb grip.

Hi Cat, wished I had seen this before I purchased my first mat, it would have saved me £30 to put towards a Yogi Bare or Liforme mat. To new Yogis,,,worth investing in a mid to high priced mat if you think you will stay in your practice. My cheap £30 mat disintegrated with a couple week. Have subscribed to your channel 😃

You have some really cute yoga mat designs. I have a Fabletics mint colored yoga mat. I bought it from the Fabletics store at Mall of America. It’s the best yoga mat I have ever owned. My boyfriend gave me his old one when he stopped doing P90X due to have a back injury from the program. He bought the mat on sale from Kmart. The mat needed replacement anyways it had some rust spots from sweating and the material was peeling off anyways.

Agreed, the Jade mats are exceptional! I've had the Harmony for four years for my daily practice. It's open cell natural rubber so it absorbs sweat rather than having it accumulate on the surface. It's 4.7 mm thickness provides enough support for knees but still let's you feel the floor which is so important for balancing poses. I love my Jade yoga mat!

Packaging: It came in a sturdy rectangular cardboard box that said Yoga on it. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxZkaD2JsPC-fUMkF3vxJ2echoiXZ3T9aM I didn't like how it let possible package thieves know what might be contained inside but great packaging otherwise. The yoga mat came rolled up in a plastic wrap, which was fairly easy to remove.Contents: I got the green yoga mat and it came with an adjustable velcro carrying strap already secured to the mat. There was also a warranty card. There was a bit of a plastic smell coming form the yoga mat but it quickly dissipated after using it once.I've only used the yoga mat twice so far but I am loving it. It's such a game changer to my work outs, especially compared to my bed and floor, haha! I can confirm that it very thick, slip resistant, and comfortable. i didn't look at the dimensions prior to buying the mat, but it is so much longer than I expected! Width is normal size in my opinion. I don't know if it really is tear resistant yet... only time will tell!

What are you using now? Would love an updated version - Jade, B Mat, Alo, etc....Your top 5? Also, tell me straight - is the Manduka Pro like a skating rink even after salting? I use the Jade Harmony because the grip and traction are top-notch and those are my priorities. But with rubber, you lose flow. I miss that. I wish there was a happy medium. Liforme might be it but it wouldn't make my knees or tailbone happy and I am not a Lulu fan. You're so strong/fit. I bet you can use anything. Green with envy. P.S. Love your videos. Thank you for helping make the pandemic tolerable...Cheers from NYC.

I use the Yogi Bare paws mat and the Liforme mat. I have 2 of those kind of towel hot yoga mats and don’t use them very often. I’m in need of a travel mat as I’m going to Goa next year to do a 200 hour YTTC and undecided whether to go for the new Yogi Bare one or the Liforme one. Love Yogi Bare and the value for money is amazing but with Liforme you get the bag and a variety of colours. Can’t decide! 🤷🏻‍♀️ xx
