That is hysterical you call it an 80s prom dress. That was my prom dress for 1989 in fuschia and then I wore in white in 1990. My sister is 10 years younger than me so she got use of the prom dresses for her sorority "80s" themed parties! I thought about it buying it for the dress only. Not crazy about the doll.

I got this doll. I love her but I don’t like how her eye paint isn’t matte. It reflects light in an unflattering way. The magnetic closure on her box also came ripped off but I really think that was FedEx’s doing since the shipper isn’t taped 😕

I’m thinking if you put her defective shoe on her foot and heat it you might be able to coax it back into shape. Also a tiny strip of 2 sided tape could help too. OR, you could tell Mattel to send replacement.
I really like this one, better than the first one. I’m not sure why I don’t love the face, when Daya is one of my favourite molds in play line. I wonder if it is because it has an open mouth? I think this might be the first Silkstone showing teeth, so maybe I’m just not used to it. Anyway, I’ll have to see if I end up getting her because she will likely be over $200, including tax, in Canada. I wonder if they’ll end up doing the Karl mold next, like in the unofficial photos? I don’t have any Karl molds, so I would like that.

What a shame about the shoe, so much for them checking the dolls over during production 😔. The heel on mine is really bent which is annoying and a common issue now with Mattel but other then that she's beautiful. I just wish the actual doll was a little more remarkable same with the first doll, she's just a fashionista in a pretty dress imo which is a shame.

Yes, she is heavier than the typical Barbie doll because she is made of the silkstone material. 😉

I believe that may have been a prototype. They never released this particular doll with the Karl sculpt. 🙅🏻♂️
