- Nissan Qashqai 1.5 DCI Sluggish or Smoking Fix. If your Qashqai has lost its go and maybe smoking a bit take a look at this fix. Qashqai's suffer from this issue quite a bit and roadside repairs are common. You may also get code P006D recorded " Barometric pressure Turbo Charger/Super charger inlet

I got the egr valve to take out next
Awesome my dpf blocked and blow the pipe in half. Had dpf removed and mapped out funny how they never thought to look at pipe. Great help thanks mate

Hi mate, I have an issue with my car Nissan Juke 1.5 DCI 2011 diesel for months now the car initially starts and when hot it will shot off when cold it will start normal so I decided to check the fuel pressure sensor take it off and clean and fix after which the car doesn’t start anymore. I taught it was the high pressure pump I bought another the same issue. I have change the engine the same , what I have find out is that there is no ground on the car the wires that are supposed to be ground a supplying 4.5v, a lol the 12v are ok 5v ok but no but ground 4.5v
Great video. Whats the actual part called please, i can't find the link. I have smoke from the exhaust and low initial power in second gear!! No warning lights and no relevant codes on my reader but might consider this change if not too expensive.

2013 1.5 tekna mine was completely split off at the neck. No engine warn light but skid light wss on/off. Cruise / speed limit and gear change indicator no longer functioning. Am I right in thinking error codes are now preventing the cruise to work. Tride the cheap Aldi obd reader says 'no code's' but i dont trust it.
Great video super helpful! I've replaced that hose on my 1.5dci qashqai but ESP and red engine light still coming on with P006D P012B P1515(F3) error code. Should i look at the EGR valve as you instructed in next video or something else could be?
That's odd, perhaps the map sensor is knackered?
@@fiveminuteman Thanks mate, this might be possible. I just noticed the lights only come on when i pressed the gas harder i.e. go up to a big hill. Is the map sensor the one located at the top of that hose? Also if this sensor needs to be replaced, do i need to program it before fit it on, or just replace it anyway?
Just update that i replaced the map sensor and ordered an another turbo tube (from somewhere else), all the engine error codes were gone but ABS lights were still on without any error codes. A few days later i bought a fuel additive DPF cleaner and drove on motorway for a hours finally the ABS lights were off. Overall it probably becasue 1) the first turbo tube didn’t fit 2) clogged dpf or Egr valve or similar.
I had this problem where it actually split. After replacing it I had to get the engine management light cleared as in 4,5 and 6th gear it wouldn't go over 3000 revs.

Dpf is blocked which is why it broke in the 1st place due to back pressure
Hi! I'm getting kinda desperate so I wanted to check in with you for an advice because you've handled couple of j10's with 1.5DCI engine. I have exactly the same engine in my Qashqai, it is 2007 Tekna Plus model - I've owned it for a year and within that year car stopped running 4 times. What happens is that I am casually driving fine, and all of a sudden I get ESP OFF and a red check engine light - I usually park it, turn if off and on, error clears out and I drive away fine. But sometimes, that isn't the case. It just stops, loses complete power - it cranks but it doesn't start.
I have taken it to 4 different mechanics and had high pressure sensor replaced, ESP module replaced, fuel filters replaced, fuel regulator and cleaning of the system done. ESP OFF and Red Check Engine has returned yesterday indicating that it will die again soon in the future.
Do you have any advice on what to check? Please and thank you!

Hi I’ve replaced mine with a part from eBay and it’s leaking a small amount of oil from underneath the top bit with the metal clip ? Is yours doing the same or is it expected? Cheers🎉 or is it a problem?
Mine is the same and think that is fairly normal as its down to bearing wear in the turbo.
Great video I've got a 2010 1.5Dci ntec qashqai mine smokes but only when I put my foot down or when I first start in the morning it don't seem to have much of a boost so maybe this could be the problem? A mechanic told me to put Dpf cleaner in my diesel tank and take it for a good run says it might clear the smoke ? I'm useless with cars as its my first one only had it since October 2022 how much is this part you've changed in the video ? Thanks pal 👍🏻
Best take it to an indie grage and getnit looked at.
@5 Minute Man I don't work so can't afford to take it back to the garage as it was in last Tuesday for a different problem I thought the smoking was being fixed at the same time but they said just do the dpf cleaner in diesel tank so maybe I try that and also this turbo pipe thing you've changed and if no difference then I'll have to go back to garage just watched dpf cleaning video don't think I could remove it and do it myself like they did but thanks for the reply m8
I recenty checked online there about €25.00 but mine was undrivable, had to go to nissan €90. Cruise and speed limit not working now but im presuming i have error codes that need clearing.
@@phcoh i yave heard of them being taped by RAC just to get you home.
@@fiveminuteman I did nothing as didnt get the time, but this mirning the cruise and speed limit are working again, my guess the dpf filter sensor was outside the range, but a few long runs this week may have cleared it out. 😁
I have a 2014 1.5 cashqai red comes on and it feels like it's running on 3 cylinders and then goes back to normal and 5 minutes later same thing .Any ides mate??

I just replaced mine (totally split, and did drive it about 5 miles after it had split) warning lights still up and seems like there’s lose of pressure elsewhere maybe… is it common to go elsewhere too?
Read the codes first, egr can block, dpf, map sensors and maf sensors can play up.
i'll have to get a reader. doing the old soapy bucket of water tomorrow.... its hissing like a steam engine from somewhere.... i honestly thought it was the cat convertor before i saw the broken air intake pipe.@@fiveminuteman
They split due to clogged dpfs...
could you smell exhaust fumes in the car
Nope, not at all. You need to get that fixed as carbon monoxide could be entering the cabin. I did have exhaust fumes once entering a different car and it was done to a split flexi hose on an Audi A4 diesel.
Once the new pipe is on wilo the management light go off ....cheers
