I love to watch you mix and apply paint to your painting. You are amazing. I watch each of your videos several times just to see how you block in, model and then finish up.
Hey Mate, they make great subjects. It's all in the eyes of the artist. If there's interest there and curiosity about how to communicate it; it'll probably make a great subject!
Thank you Andrew for so much beauty portrayed in your paintings! You are a great teacher because you are a great story teller. I love that last "I am pretty happy with the results.... but I may have to paint it a few more times."!!! I would have stopped at the plain air result!
Dear Andrew, Amazing how you take blobs of paint and create extraordinary works of art regardless of size. Your generous time and effort spent on giving us quality instruction is not lost on me. As the proud owner of EPIC Milford and Kimberly, there are so many A-HA! Moments from the get-go, I will be watching these over and over again for years and will still catch something new. An abundance of thanks to you and Rachel for your work and sacrifice.
Thanks so much Angela, I truly appreciate that. To me they're still just blobs of paint though! I keep pushing and pushing to get better! LOL! Thanks as well for your support and kind feedback. It means so much to me! Glad you're enjoying the tutorials. :)
Your videos always remind me to look deeper in a scene. It’s so easy to dismiss a scene, telling yourself ‘it’s not right. There’s not enough there’ etc. So thank you for inspiring me again and again. Legend.
You are a great teacher Andrew. I’m gobbling up all your videos and learning so much by watching you paint all sorts of subjects. Thank you so much for inspiring me very day painting parts of the most beautiful places on earth. Stay safe and do as the sheep are doing!
Love what you do Andrew! I have been painting for 52 years and today posted my first RUclips video. Hopefully I can inspire and help others on their artistic journey.
I love how you have rearranged your home to accommodate painting and filming. You inspire me with your enthusiasm and your skill. Thanks for continuing to bring out new videos Andrew!
Love your paintings and detail. I do not paint in oils but I find many of your videos have hints and methodologies that can be applied to the other mediums I use. Just beautiful-thank you. A little giggle is also appreciated in these times😀
Love your color mixing and how you explain perspective. I am recovering from hand surgery and can not paint yet, but researching and learning all I can from you tube artists and your videos are fabulous and my favorites.
Great video and before I forget thanks for the sale. Between the two Epic Landscapes videos and Portaits video I've had plenty to watch and reevaluate my art during quarantine
Such a helpful tutorial. I really appreciated the labeling of your palette colors. Your materials are so well produced. I recently purchased your portrait tutorial and what a gem! Being able to see your full process is just incredible. I loved seeing your mistakes and how you skillfully made your adjustments. It has relieved a lot of pressure I was feeling to get everything right the first time. You often say that you make adjustments as you go, but moving the mouth or eyes really helped me to see what a big difference those little adjustments make. During this time of staying home, it has been very encouraging to be able to follow your sketch endeavor and youtube channel. Thank you for all of your hard work and making it a blessing for others.
We live on the edge of the countryside. Big open rolling hills from Washington England to the coast Sunderland. You can see the sea in the very far distance on a clear day. It’s amazing how many people are still passing our front garden on foot , bicycle or horse back. They don’t appear to be observing distancing quite as much as they should. Our neighbour has her daughter, son and grandson visiting daily, she’s in her 80s. I’ve been banned from visiting my Mum and Dad. She very concerned about protecting me too. Her computer broke down yesterday and she called to say she’d buy another one on-line. Then laughed realising she couldn’t. Mam buys her shopping on-line as she’s shielding. So We bought her a new lap top and it’s being delivered to her house tomorrow. Mam was hugely relieved as naturally her computer is a vital lifeline. Just opened our eyes to how much we rely on these computers these days. If Covid had happened when I was young. Most shops did not deliver to your door, there were no mobile phones and computers filled a whole room. Colour TVs were a luxury. All this convenience in less than one life time, from around the 1980s or so.
I love this pic, Andrew. I grew up on a farm. Many years later I went back to see the ol' place, but to my disappointment, the barn was flattened and I could barely see it for the overgrowth. Thank goodness for photos. Great choice, great painting. Thank you.
Great info, I learn so much from your tutorials. Love how your paintings are so detailed yet still have the romance of a painting. Thank you for what you do for us!
Just heading up to try my hand at plain air, last time I attempted that was in 1983.Enjoy watching up at work especially in your studio on top of your magic carpet. Thanks for sharing I have always enjoyed watching and listening to whatever you share.Stay safe my friend.
Speaking of honing your skills- you’ve really streamlined your presentation style, getting more variety in your word choices really enhances how you convey your ideas.
Thank you so much for posting this. As always, so helpful to those of us who desire to improve not to mention your amazing talent to create something beautiful. I truly appreciate the fact that you share your methods and talent here for us on RUclips. Thanks again!
I think that old barn is beautifully interesting. I really appreciate your approach to the process. I feel as though I have learned so much from you, thank you. I do like your home setup, you have inspired me to redo my little studio at my home.
Andrew, so I'm sitting here, and you do the Skillshare ad, which is also used in this house. Not only that, Arleesha is here, too. As in, actually here. The connections that we have these days is amazing, to say the least. Your non stop commentary while addressing the painting, thought processes, and how you use the artistic license is so interesting. Now, if I would spend as much time doing as watching. Thanks!
Ciao e ancora grazie.
I'd love to see some of the winter landscape footage! It's gorgeous. I'm currently painting my first ever oil thanks to you! You are a great great artist. Keep on with the excellent work! Greetings from Argentina.
I remember you painting that barn a few years ago, I guess it was one of the first videos I watched from you, it was gorgeous. It’s a little sad to see the barn deteriorate like that, but anyway, this new painting got awesome too. Thanks Andrew!
This one was another barn form a similar area. There's many around here! Gotta paint them all! Thanks so much for the comment mate, more videos on the way!
Just a tip I found great when using Liquin light. I use an eye dropper to put just the right amount of Liquin on my paint on the palette. Putting a little Liquin from a large bottle into a smaller one that has the dropper I find great. Then I’m not constantly opening my 200ml one.
You inspired me again with this painting. Close to where i live (north of the Netherlands) there is a similar scene that i forgot. What I want to paint some time. Thanks again Andrew!
Hello Andrew thank you so much for continuing to send these little videos it certainly brightens up these odd times watching you paint. I also have watched both your latest epic tutorials which were both wonderful and very inspiring. I can't wait to get outside and try plein air which I have never had the courage to do but you have inspired me to try. Looking forward to hearing from you again and thank you for all your hard work. Stay safe, best wishes Shirley
Thankyou Andrew for another enjoyable and Informative video. Loved painting your Winterlandscape tutorial and soon will start the Epic Milford and Epic Kimberly. Thanks again for all the inspiration.
Awesome as always..!! Can’t wait for the new Sketchendevor Videos..!! I Love tho Videos and I have Committed as well to a Set Time.! Thank you for these Episodes..!! 👊😎
I am at a loss to see why there are 17 "dislikes" to this video! What's not to like? Perhaps it's jealousy! Weird. Another amazing painting and so well put together, especially under the lockdown circumstances. Thanks Andrew and Rachel :)
This old farm boy walked right into the barn... it is fabulously painted. It is so good to watch your process. Bless.🌱💐
Your "preliminary" painting is better than 99.9% of anyone else's finished work! How you work with colour is literally magic!
Whatever you do , is great Andrew .Thanks a lot .
Wonderful work
Best teacher around!! .
Thank you Andrew, for all of your educational videos. I look forward to everyone. Your drive is contagious.
My heart sinks whenever he says "in this short video"
Same lol. Grateful nevertheless. 🌼

Another beautiful picture. We can't get enough of you and your video's. See ya next week, right. Thanks Andrew
you are a very talented artist and a very good teacher. You deserve success.
pretty cool, i went out & painted a car that went off the edge of a cliff last year, was a total wreck but made an interesting subject.
Hey Mate, they make great subjects. It's all in the eyes of the artist. If there's interest there and curiosity about how to communicate it; it'll probably make a great subject!
Andrew, you are legitimately the best. What a role model!
Thank you Andrew for so much beauty portrayed in your paintings! You are a great teacher because you are a great story teller. I love that last "I am pretty happy with the results.... but I may have to paint it a few more times."!!! I would have stopped at the plain air result!
Always enjoy watching you make your marks.
