Think about this, pair that squirrel with innkeepers talent. Which honestly, I think was supposed to happen anyway. I took it out, because it seems kind of contrary to what group hug is? I honestly think it'll generate tons of threat. It would be the one piece I would take out first at least.

This deck feels made for me. I regularly run a lot of these reprints in my other decks including Intellectual Offering, Illusionist's Gambit and Secret Rendezvous. I am already known as the group hug player in one of my groups and I cant wait to not only tweak this deck a bit but also to start adding a lot of these new group hug cards to my existing decks. PS great suggestion with Dismiss Into Dream, that card gets overlooked too much!
pretty whelmed by the reprints but im still really excited to try a group hug strategy, i tend to be the arch enemy in my playgroup so i cant wait to... still be the archenemy but now im giving them free stuff
Reprints are so so but the mana base is solid and the playstyle seems fun, I def think it has room for upgrades (Consecrated Sphinx and Smothering Tithe come to mind) but it should be a fun one
I suppose I had gotten my hopes up thinking this deck would get a Smothering Tithe reprint. I like the new card designs and am sure nobody will be weird about Mr.Foxglove at all.
The high water mark still seems to have been the lost caverns of ixilan commander decks. Not looking like we're gonna get there with the bloomburrow precons...

On the site, it had an Offer You can’t Refuse listed as a new card, so I think they messed up on that. Perhaps their deck list was wrong. I’m hoping they fix it so I can see for sure

So glad I havent bought the real copies and was just proxying lmfao The fifth doctor and susan foreman would also work well for this deck!
There's another reason why Ms Bumbleflower's buff is underrated. If an opponent is making an attack in the air (or even with just enough trample damage) on another player that you need alive, you can use her ability to save them and get a favor out of it. My favorite new card from the deck is Tempt with Bunnies. It's exactly what you want out of white card draw - not feeling too lawsy/taxing, not forcing every opponent to draw, and you're not forced to pick someone to help. I love the way that you went about this. It's much better than the "Read card, talk about if it's good/bad" route that I've seen other content creators do.
Even more interesting is that Commander doesn't mention anything about only giving you those counters. You could give them to another opponent's creatures, if you wanted to. I don't think anybody really takes this into account.
Broken wings is basically shoot down or shower of arrows, but you destroy instead of exile. Come to think of it, shower of errors has the same mana cost. So, you could switch broken wings out with shower of arrows instead. I usually end up replacing cars like Managorger. If an opponent takes them out? You're pretty much SOL. So, I usually find creatures that benefit the board rather than themselves specifically. I definitely agree with command zone on one thing. This deck needs more instant cards.
just wanted to note at around 5:13-5:20 you mention you can pump twice a turn, this is incorrect and you may do it as many times as you want. you just won't get the 2 card draw it says at the bottom after the second cast that turn. to note She could scale very strong on when +1/+1 counter is added, add 1 more. Will easily turn her into a monster. Will work very well with combat tricks that will Combo off quicker than people realize... especially when the card does "NOT" state that the casts and effect have to be on "YOUR" turn lol.

I like alt wins when they need work; ThOracle is just UU for ThOracle then B for consult so it's too easy, we house-banned it over here. We can probably let Dockside out of the penalty box with the toxic creature out now as well.

I am happy there was at least _a_ fox, but I will forever be kinda sad we didn't get more foxes nor fox tribal stuff. I know the plane is supposed to be only small animals and not predators, but fox tribal is not something that can come up often, and the only other plane with a lot of foxes is Kamigawa which doesn't have _any_ fox tribal stuff. (all the kitsune are either part of other groups like Samurai or Pilots, or are just their own individual thing)

@@lymbasluchs Right? No bounce lands, and the dual tap lands have ways to enter untapped. Felwar Stone is also a perfect choice since you are trying to get your opponents to play lands, and all three of the other precons can produce useable mana during precon duels

I love the new cards in this precon. Almost all of them belong in Group Hug decks. However, there is absolutely no reason to buy the precon because there are very very few Group Hug cards in the actual deck. I'll just pick up the precon cards as singles because we all know they will individually cost almost nothing.
I will 100% replacing pheldy with this rabbit, shrieking drake and aluren finally seem funny enough to use in my group hug deck, I’m excited for this commander
My upgrade package will focus on the stompy aspect of peace offering. basically, enabling this deck to make creatures exponentially stompier. why? just because. I have a few pieces from call for backup that are going to be crazy ideal for what I have in mind. The only thing I missing is hard and scales, branching evolution and inexorable tide.
The deck seems disappointing aside from a few of the new cards and it feels like this should be a really cheap precon given the lack of any relevant reprints... Either way, happy you got to preview it.
With this deck having four win conditions, it is actually quite interesting. But, you were definitely going to want to have something to protect those wind conditions. My solution? Replace the boots with archetype of endurance. Absolute hexproofing that'll protect all your creatures from targeted removal. The only way to solve the problem? Removing your hexproofing. I also removed managorger and chose loyal guardian for an upgrade. Why? Because that Hydra doesn't really do anything for your board. I also added kami of whispered hopes and primal vigor.
to be fair this seems like a political deck rather than group hug because it doesnt plan to king make and use it's giving advantage to then stay under the radar then win once youve gathered enough of your own resources. Still looks like a great deck

This deck .... is the antithesis of Group Hug. Its more so a political deck that is running a typical older style EDH asymmetrical symmetrical value engine. Like the first card that just kills a player or shuts down a large part of their deck. Group hug as an archetype wants everyone's decks to function to the best of their ability during a game, and seeing cards like that in a deck labeled group hug is disheartening and upsetting.

the lands like overflowing basin are called signet lands, since they work just like a signet

Bloodroot Apothecary is insane! Among my top 3 in this whole Bloomburrow set from what I have seen.

Twenty-Toed Toad is one of my new favourite creatures.
The name alone makes it MVP of the deck.
Steelburr feels like it should have been in the Offspring deck, considering how focused it is on 1/1 creatures, oh well, swap in between the precons
