Yes, even I had the below question in the mind that when we can do the same work with LOOKUP function? Even I tried doing so with both of the formulae of LOOKUP function and it works absolutely fine. Maybe, he is just introducing us with another method. But as of now if we can do this work with a short formula of LOOKUP then there is no requirement for MATCH function. It would be great if any excel master can answer this doubt for Pankaj SIr himself can clarify this doubt.

But this formula works only in one row and you cannot drag the formula to all rows. please try the same example as in video, in 17th row just put as camera and if you drag the formula it wont work

PLEASE EXPLORE THE USAGE OF ADVANCED FILTER. IT DOES THE WORK OF VLOOKUP, INDEX AND MATCH.

When the no. of the column is very large then we can't say its position number. In that case, the match function comes to rescue.
