Doing some great stuff drew, I would like to see a clip of all the camera gear you use and how you set it up, your videos come out great and people like myself, that want make videos like these could learn alot off you! Keep it up! 👍
Nice setup! Thanks for the video! I am obsessed with light setups rod and reel. Been stop fishing for about a year and I just started fishing back few weeks ago and after a week of making a research for light rod and reel, I found the Okuma Helious rod 7f at 3.9 oz and Daiwa Ballistic LT 2500 at 6.3 oz!
I just rewatched this rod info vid and it is a great insight into the fine tuning that can be done to present different lures in the best possible way. Because of transport and storage I only buy 2 piece rods, do you think it really effects the feel/performance that much? I hoped that the manufacturers would tune the 2 piece rods to perform pretty much the way a 1 piece does. I'm a noob so I would value a veterans opinion, thank you for sharing, go get em legend.
hey mate been watching your vids for a while now and your absolutely killing it ! such quality videos drew, keep at it man you are gonna make it to the top ! #drewforprimeminister
U might want to look into shallow spool options for your beautiful reels..they hold just enough amount of lines given that u mostly run 4-6lbs of lines on your gears, besides shallow spools have the ideal drag pressure for finesse applications
Great video! Thanks! Question please... I bought a 7 ft light power fast action St Croix rod. I’m debating on whether to buy the 1000 or 2500 Stradic ci4. I see you have a 2500 in your video. It seems like 1000 would balance better? Or would the 2500 be plenty fine for its size for that rod?
So for someone that is new to fishing, if they wanted just one rod to catch fish on the beach and rivers, what would you recommend as far as rod length/rating, reel size? So many options, bloody confusing.
Hey Drew did you see 9 news tonight?, there was a piece on this guy in a boat that was after mangrove jack in the canals, Coomera think and the locals chased him off in a jet ski, real bad abuse as well, and have you tried the siglon 8 braid, very fine and supple..
No I did not see that!! Crazy how they think they own the water..in one way I get why the locals can get agitated as there are some wankers out there climbing on pontoons and stuff..but most of us are doing the right thing. Haven't tried siglon..
Thanks Drew .. interested in setting up a mono straight through .. any tricks? Every time I've tried I get eagles and stray loops and end up giving up .. line management is tough
Nice setups drew. I use a couple of shimano stradic FJ 1000 and the old shimano ELF 1000s on my Shimano Raiders ( 2-4lb 7ft) for black bream and love them. Am interested to see what your rig is for mangrove jack!
Nothing wrong with the FJ ive got two of them..need new bearing is one just haven't ever got around to it haha Jack setups will come mate, obviously I'm pretty new to it so still experimenting etc but there will be a vid on that for sure!
Hey Drew, I’m after the samurai reaction 2-4lb. Where did you get this in the $300 range? Still available? Custom built? If I could get that in Victoria I’d get it tomorrow. What do u recommend for an ultralight bream rod around $200? Cheers
Really like your review especially what you said about specks that they don't mean anything to you! I feel the same way specks don't mean shit and I think its funny how some people get these big heavy rods to catch bass that are way over rated...
I own 2 of the arrowz rods love them but want to swap up my 6ft Barra rod to a baitcaster with a 5k lt legalis lighter than my 2500dx exceler but 50grams and I belt the crap out of my rods it's why I only keep 2 graphite rods that I only use guests get the fiberglass special with the same reels
Hey Drew, after watching this vid I've been thinking about getting a Stradic ci4+ but can't find it at the pricepoint you mentioned. Any idea where I can find it?
i got a new 5'6" light graphite modulus rod from berkly but when looking down the barrel i see it is curving a bit to the left ,is this sometimes normal or a defect? and would it offset my cast accuracy?
I’m torn, I running a 1-4kg 7 foot rod currently and I decided to by a ci4+. Not sure wether to buy the 1000 or the 2500 what do u reckon would be better.
Just touching on the atomic arrowz comments comparison to the the samurai reaction rods. Let's be straight up. The arrowz is nothing like the samurai. Not even on the same planet. Not in action, Not in blank or componentry. Kinda like comparing a Datsun 180b & a Ferrari.
The Megabass & samurai I own both. Awesome choice. Brilliant rods. Fish great & quality components👍
Nitro rods and Stella reels. Winning combos. I’ve only got 18 of them but that covers most situations.
A good video and information from you drew.fish on and tight lines.
Great video Drew look forward to the next one. And good luck on Sunday in the bream comp!
Thanks mate 👍 you coming down for a fish?
Ever need another drew on the boat just give us a bell
Can’t turn down a flick
Great video, love the mention part, the arrowz are definitely great rods for a cheaper price.

Thanks man 🤟
Very nice setups mate 👌
Subbed because of this and your braid testing. Love the video so you deserve it
Im running the 3-6lb zodias and 1k c14
Love it

Great honest review, you certainly love the c14 Stradic’s . Greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪, happy to sub 👍👍
Awesome mate 👍👍👍
Where in Oz or you mate ?
@@tonybennett4922 Brisbane Queensland
Got as far as Byron Bay once upon a time, superb part of our world. Enjoy the fishing 🎣
Congratulations on 2000 subs mate
hey mate been watching your vids for a while now and your absolutely killing it ! such quality videos drew, keep at it man you are gonna make it to the top ! #drewforprimeminister
Haha thanks mate! I'd be a terrible prime Minister..I'd always be away fishing
Awesome video Drew M !!
And great vid mate can’t wait for the next one

Nice setup brother

Thanks 👍
Love the dobyns
Ever in Mackay we will have to chase some sootys and Barra together
Very very exvensive rod brother😍
Great vid mate
hey mate another great vid just wondering what brand of braid do you use
So for someone that is new to fishing, if they wanted just one rod to catch fish on the beach and rivers, what would you recommend as far as rod length/rating, reel size? So many options, bloody confusing.
I was recently looking at a light setup and I ended up with an ultrega 3000 and an atomic arrowz and it’s spooled with some Berkley braid
Hey Drew did you see 9 news tonight?, there was a piece on this guy in a boat that was after mangrove jack in the canals, Coomera think and the locals chased him off in a jet ski, real bad abuse as well, and have you tried the siglon 8 braid, very fine and supple..

Good'day spunky, Pom here.. cracking vids, stumbled across braid abrasion vid and just seen this (awesome), whats the idea of mono for top waters?
It floats

Just wondering if you could drop everything you are doing and take me fishing.
I'll be there right away
Yeah I love my ci4 too man, but I like the fk more just because it feels more solid.
Hey mate, great video once again! One question I don’t think I got an answer to from that video do you prefer 1 or 2 pc rods for the light bream rods
I have all one pieces
Would you say getting the new Fate V3 rod from 13fishing for Carp would be a bad move. It looks like they have upgraded the blank though.
I’m here looking for a new rod because I just snapped my omen haha
Just curious man with leader how much do you normally have? And what knot do you tie from leader to braid? Cheers loving the vids!
Cheers Mate!
How bloody good are the stradics!! I've got 4 of the bloody things myself, very smooth and in the affordable range just.
Yep best bang for buck in my opinion!
Brilliant mate
Cheers dude 🤟

hi drew great video again the Loomis rod you have spoiled up with mono what brand and what pound is it
4lb platapus 👍👍
I own 2 of the arrowz rods love them but want to swap up my 6ft Barra rod to a baitcaster with a 5k lt legalis lighter than my 2500dx exceler but 50grams and I belt the crap out of my rods it's why I only keep 2 graphite rods that I only use guests get the fiberglass special with the same reels
What location was this filmed at
my shed
How do you get stradics for 200 bucks
is 6lbs braid and 6lbs leader or 4lbs leader alright for bream fishing
Yep 6 and 6 is perfect 👍
I got one of the pflueger trion 1's 2-4kg, are they alright for flathead?
Split grip cork.
Did you get the Dobyns champion from overseas? Or does someone in Australia sell them
Anglers warehouse sells them
Steve Stratford yea but they don’t sell the light spin models
Do you use casting reels too or only spinning setups?
I use a few casting setups and heavy spin but I have not detailed them in a video yet 👍
Hi Drew, do you run a fluro backing on your 2500 with the 6lb? If so how much? Thanks
Hey Drew, after watching this vid I've been thinking about getting a Stradic ci4+ but can't find it at the pricepoint you mentioned. Any idea where I can find it?
Hello Friend.
I live in Brazil, and we don't have many rod options.
Can Omen Black 10lbs be used with 100% fluorcarbon? Its extra fast?
Thanks
shimano raiders are quite good tbh
Thanks mate, appreciate you sharing this information! :-)
All good mate 👍
Where could you buy a second hand stradic from?
Hey, is stradic 4000 good for shore jigging?
I’ve got a Samaki c12 2-8lb is that good for throwing 60mm hardbodies for flathead?
Yep..i used a samaki for years never had an issue..caught a few squire on it too
Do you upgrade your drags on these reels?
I have not
Love your vids mate, ypu shpuld be on telly. I like your gear. What do you think of NS black hole rods?
I am using a 1m68 fishing rod, power Light. What size reel should I choose?
1000-2500 size 👍
I like rods with a longer butt like those surf rods keeps it nice and balanced instead of top heavy
Tica rods are very good
What # test is the mono setup?
i got a new 5'6" light graphite modulus rod from berkly but when looking down the barrel i see it is curving a bit to the left ,is this sometimes normal or a defect? and would it offset my cast accuracy?
Do you buy your fishing gear at the same place all the time?
Yes.
Do you recommend any particular outlet?
Is that the dc702sf or the 701sf?
Your dobyn’s rod.
Nvm lol it’s the dc701sf I have the same rod.
Take me fishing
Silly question but why do you run a 2500 and not all 1000 on your light gear?
Because a 2500 Ci4 weighs the same or less as most 1000 reels and you have the bonus more drag pressure
Great video Drew. Have you used any of the other Samurai rods?
No just that one..played with a couple other in stone but that's it
Bloody oath good video 🤙
where do you get the $199-$230 stradic 2500 from
please help me find one
can you link your rods?
I’m torn, I running a 1-4kg 7 foot rod currently and I decided to by a ci4+. Not sure wether to buy the 1000 or the 2500 what do u reckon would be better.
buy a 1000 if you want ultra light setup for bream and whiting. The 2500 is a little more versatile for flattys and even squire on a different rod.
Stratic for 199?? Please send me a link
Hey drew what gear do you use for jacks. Cheers
Will make a video on that shortly mate, but a baitcaster in the 10-20lb range with 30-50lb line will get you started
@@DrewMinto thanks heaps mate keep up the awesome vids
God u can pick up a sienna for $80 and it’s my favourite reel for its price and it’s lasted me a long time
I hope you dont mind me ask how much do you spend on your all your rods and reels as total? Would you say this is around $1000 or less?
More I'd say..maybe $2000 In this video..too much haha
Drew M oh wow, very nice set up though. Are you plan to buy more later on?
Nah man, i think I'm all set haha
Where do u buy your stradics from
Bought them from Tackleworld Lawton. Very good price at the time. $199.
What brand braid do you use mate
Shimano Kairiki or ygk braid 👍
6lb and 10lb in the Kairiki and 4lb in the ygk
I also know heaps of ppl who have had major reel seat dramas with the Raiders. Pretty poor considering the maker & cost.
is there any chances u could give that samurai reaction to me? hihi 😁🙏😊 new angler from phil🇵🇭. i like your videos bro, God Bless.
Where was that lol
sponsor some rod and reel plssss
The 1000 is what I use for smallouth and Largemouth in the states. I also have a 2500 for mostly Largemouth or even small striper.
👍🏿🔥
hello😂
hello mate
Finally haha
Top followers m'y chinnes
I have all the gear with no idea..
me too mate..cant know everything haha

would never buy a ci4 in 1000 , sounds like a waste to me
Where did u buy your stradics from
Tackleworld Lawnton 👍
