Very nice however I am staying with Goal Zero. I have a goal zero 1400 and I can completely recharge it in 3 hours using their 25 amp fast charger and my Honda EU2200I. Jack biggest disadvantage is it’s recharge time and because of that it’s only good for weekends camping trips, the ones you check in around 3pm Friday and out by 1pm Sunday. I strongly encourage anyone who is considering buying lithium battery packs or AGM battery packs to consider the recharge time. Again the recharge time is very important.
Hello sir; do you get those recharge times using one or two of the 25 amp fast chargers? I need to run my CPAP while camping and will use my Yamaha 2000 generator to charge to Yeti.
aterseraph no I use one 25 amp fast chargers 🔌 and yes and gas generator that can produce at least 1000 watts continuously can recharge a gold zero from 0% to 100% in three hours. The best way to get the best usage out of lithium batteries is to slowly discharge them and don’t discharge them below 40%. I use my goal zero 1400 to power my Engel 45 Refrigerator/ freezer and Never use it for anything that need more then 60 watts at one time and recharge at 50%.
@@gerald4nomads You can discharge the goal zero or any lithium to 0. No lithium device goes completely dead because of safety systems are in place to keep the voltage consistent at a %. Try adding an inverter to your car so you can recharge from your alternator while traveling and will have almost the same ac output that you have at home
On 21st March, 2019 the video posted was about EcoFlow River 370. I have to buy one so, which would you suggest Ecoflow or Jackery 500? Since, I'm living in Asia continent so, I can't go to store or exchange it online easily so, I want to know which has very good after sales service? Also, among both which AC inverter has high efficiency? Because here our devices are designed according to 220v AC 50 Hz wall outlet. According to your personal experiences and not based on whatever company says, among both which one holds power for long after charging them and without using them? I'll be very thankful for your replies to all my queries.
We have used the ruclips.net/user/postUgkxOTeIs0vv4_9B5hsmnLsk9r930uDQLu_Y for probably 30 hours with our camper and it’s been great! The noise level is really only noticeable when running the AC and other appliances like the microwave, hair dryer, or coffee pot. It’s not huge like other ones and it has wheels so even at 90lbs, I can move it!
Have you used your Jackery solar generator to run a heated blanket for winter camping? If so, I’m curious about how much battery draw one could expect with using a heated blanket for about 3-6 hours a night. Thanks!
Ok, I got one. Now I have a question. How can I use those two little 12 DC outputs? I haven't notice you using them for anything but I would like to put them to use. What plug fits in them? Can you please advise? Thanks
Fascinating stuff. I just thought i was being stupid creative. Cruel world when you gotta learn these things on your own, sigh 😔. Navigating looks all over the place to me... Anywho, i actually watched the whole thing. Thinking 😅 ok but how do you charge a battery that charges batteries :/, by some solar attachment? & There you have it. Good stuff. I dont like depending on ppl...
I want one of these to charge my camera batteries on my 1-2 week long state park camping runs. I am just worried to death about the heat when leaving it locked in the car when I go on trails. Also worried about people stealing it. :(
They make bolt-in strong boxes. They bolt through the upholstry directly to the frame and offer a heavy-duty padlockable container to your vehicle. Excellent for firearms or valuables, since the ONLY way someone is stealing them is if they steal the entire vehicle.
i like the all in one ness of this thing. Can it be connected to the starter/alternator system and be recharged that way? This seems like a simpler thing to install than all the bits and bobs if I did it ala carte.
Watts 11 amps x voltage, so the 12v outlet 10amp is up to 120 watts, the USB 5.2 x 2.4 amps = 12.48 watts (about 1/10th the 12v) and the 110v outlet doesn't have an amperage raating but it does say 500 watts is 500/110 = 4.55 amps. As a 500 watt hour device this seems to mean the 110VAC outlet will last only 1 hour. In reality most of what you plug into it will be less. My 2017 15" MacBook Pro is right now connected to the Apple/Belkin 12v USB-C adapter. It's pulling 36 watts, and it's 'charging' but the charge level on the computer at 78% is staying right at 78% - so it's covering my usage but not 'charging UP.' (a few minutes later my MBP says 73%) What you an then do is this: my Jackery Explorer 500 w says 92%: so .92 x 500/36 = how long I can expect to do this. 12.8 hours. That's seems pretty good, but my MacBook Pro is supposed to last about 10 hours all by itself... but not with a second monitor, screen at full brightness, playing videos. What I want to find out next is how long does it take to recharge the Jackery 500 off of my vehicle? (I have a Tesla Model Y and a share in a 1999 GMC Van. Obviously the Tesla is it's own Jackery 72 kWh or 72000 Wh, or 144 Jackery's (If I bought the equivalent number of Jakery's it would cost me $61,200, with tax about the same as the Tesla - and I doubt I could move 144 Jackerys Zero to 60 mph in 4.8 seconds... ) So if you have a Tesla, don't buy a Jackery - you don't need it....unless you plan on setting up a camp or work location away from the Tesla. I'm trying to figure out what is the best way to connect my Jackery to my MacBook Pro. The USB - no good. The 110V outlet and the charger? Better, but which is more efficient? I haven't found that information yet. Jackery should've figured this out for any number of devices and posted it on its website. I also was able to buy this unit for only $425, nice discount.... but I now expect Jackery to come out with a unit with USB C. (Belkin won't let me on their website unless I agree to their cookies. F that. ) When I bought this Belkin adapter at the Apple Store it was the highest wattage (amperage) car adapter I could find. Worked similarly in my Prius V. Hope this helps. Everything about something like the Jackery battery pack is technical, that's what all our questions come back to. Very few video makers take the time to learn the basics so they can make quantitative videos.
Random Question: Would I be able to plug in a power bar into the outlet so I could get maybe 2-4 more outlets??? For instance, if there are two laptops that need to be plugged in out on a picnic table or something, etc.
