Do you have other questions regarding ATS? What other tutorials should I make? Edit: Yes.... this tutorial was recorded several months ago. There were some issues during production, but all is good now!
Can you please do a tutorial about, 'The things you'll need in order to setup your ATS Trucking Setup.' Like steering wheel, you know. Just how to set everything up.
I bought this game a while ago, and played it for a few minutes and dropped it because the UI is very overwhelming. I really wanna give this game another shot because the thought of a game and just driving around is appealing. This will surely help, thank you!
Very comprehensive and easy to follow. I'm looking forward to checking out the following videos. If they're anything like this one, I'll be truckin' along in no time. Well done!
Always wanted to be a trucker IRL, this is probably the closest I'll get lol. Got ATS recently and have been using your videos as a guide, it's helped a ton, cheers dude 👍
@@itsari3542 ats is great, i love playing with the rain probability set to 100% and play some music in the background... if you want to get money fast and buy all the garages gets a fast money mod..
@@itsari3542 just got it today and really enjoying it. if you like open world games where you kinda do your own thing/ enjoy missions at your own pace then i’m sure you’d like it!
My biggest tip would be put all your points into long distance driving. When that's maxed out, get all the gas/explosives/liquid options, then just-on-time delivery (one point into Fragile/Expensive deliveries until just on time is maxxed) .. Eco driving isn't where the money is, so I save it for when everything else is maxxed. The very long tanker deliveries will be where you'll be making big bucks at first -- eventually enough to buy a new truck after each delivery. (my last delivery from Texas to Oregon earned me $230,000) When you buy new truck, send your old one to your garage and hire a driver from the recruiting station to drive it. Don't be afraid to take out a 400-500k loan at bank if you're using it to buy more trucks for your hirelings. They'll be leveling up while you pay it off, which makes you more money in the long run. I also focus my hires on long distance driving at first.
@@AdamsOlympia Gotcha. I've completed 7 jobs so far. Nothing fancy. Just getting used to the game before I start really focusing on progression. Can I reallocate skill points? I had 2 points in the gas one. Also....just discovered the radio and holy hell the 80s rock channel is amazing! lol
I just bought this game. My only gripe is the interface was over-stimulating⁷ and took me a few to figure everything out. This video helped a lot and will be playing again later
If SCS is watching, they should give you a cut of the purchase. Because of you and this tutorial, I ended up buying the game. I know ETS is suppose to be the same and I got that game for free. But after playing Taxi Life and did not know anything about driving in Spain I decided to get ATS. Plus to follow your tutorial you need ATS as the starting points and of course the trucks are different. So I spent $57.00 I was not intended to. Keep up the good work and SCS, give this man some money!!
I totally forgot that parking options existed. I play mostly in VR, so it's more difficult to fiddle with menus and I set it to "Where do you want it" as the automatic default and turned parking options off. I don't really understand why you'd not want to park the trailer yourself, since you don't have these automatic parking options when pulling into a rest area and you'll need to learn how to maneuver anyhow. Sure, some parking lots are large enough that you don't really need much finesse, but many of them are not and you don't always have much of a choice in the matter.
Curious question...why do you not want to have your saves in the cloud? Certainly has been handy for me when I upgraded my PC and everything was just there. Either way cool video and it should really help many people out!
Great question.... and in all honesty, my opinion has changed since recording this video lol. At the time, I had issues with the Steam Cloud in other games and decided not to risk it with ATS. Since then, my luck with the cloud has improved and I use it occasionally.

4:45 when choosing your starting city keep this criteria in mine or the game will move you to where you don't want to go depending on where the tutorial marker wanted you to start. Base Game when you get started your terminal needs to be close to the dealership, you must be near a ramp, your starting city must have a freeway of road connection, and it must have a warehouse no construction sites, farms, plants, or refineries or you will get garbage loads or no loads. Phase 2 Start in Sacramento avoid Redding, Phase 3 Start in Fresno avoid the Bay Area because their dealer is on the other side of town, upcoming Phase 4 Start in Bakersfield avoid LA and San Diego because their dealers are on the other side of town. Nevada Start in Elko or Vegas avoid Reno and do not buy Carson until you are set up they have no dealers yet. Arizona Yuma, Phoenix, or Flagstaff avoid Tucson dealer is south of town. New Mexico Buy Albuquerque and Farmington in Navajoland do not buy Santa Fe, Las Cruces, or Roswell their dealers are in other states and cities. Oregon Buy Salem, Eugene, and Medford do not buy Ontario, Portland, or Bend those towns only have service shops and the dealers are in other cities or across town. Worth it if you buy more than one truck with the 500k and hire some drivers to drive the other 2 trucks. If you just want a truck for yourself, a 100k loan should do the trick for a starter truck -- especially if you save up on a few quick jobs first.
Maybe a silly question as it concerns the radio, but as a European, these American local radio stations interest me. If you select radio, do you get radio stations from the area you're driving in or will you get a 'fixed' radio station (or even one from the area you live in)?
Hi. This tutorial is great and I appreciate the time you took to make it. My only problem is that I play with a controller -- Playstation 4 -- so I'm still stuck in that respect. I don't know how to transfer t the keyboard commands you used on the controller. And I'm not a gamer by any means. Do you have any kind of tutorial that addresses that situation. Even if it is for an XBOX controller, I could deal with that. I have had the game since December of 2022 and I gave up. The game thinks I played for 8 hours. I never got out of the parking lot. Thanks in advance for any help you can throw my way.
Hi I'm watching your video I see you talking about using the numbers to view your truck can you tell me which camera I need do I have to buy a extra camera of the camera that's on my pc
I'm legally blind so this is as close as I'll get to driving a truck... or any vehicle, really. I wish I'd known about F4 when I got the game on a bundle deal in 2021 because some of those trucks are impossible to see out of... or so I had thought.
Great looking game but really would love to see more stuff like animals in fields and people walking around getting in there cars and driving about because without this it's just a old skool sim driving game and it has the same feel as on the road with abit more to do and just with et2 menu so yeah more details need to be added to this game to make it more realistic
The controls are the worst ever, was set perfectly till the Halloween update came out and there the game screwed up the controls and now i cant seem to get my controls set correctly...
Can someone telll me how much it costs get all states to play the game. I looked on steam shows 11.99 per state. So does it cost around 470 get all states? Can’t find any answers online. Thank you
Kinda late here but basically they’re slowly adding the entire USA and selling them as DLC. The entire untied states isn’t done yet but there’s mods that have that
Hi. I would recommend either the Freightliner Cascadia, or International LT. As far as I recall, they have the best price tag for getting started (aka... the cheapest lol). However, if you prefer a specific truck model, I would recommend working towards that truck. Although in a virtual setting, it would feel more rewarding to customize, purchase, and drive that particular truck.
I found it boring esp there is no interaction with the environment e.g radio talking with other drivers, intraction with police, damage animations etc. its too boring in that sense, after watching your video im going play again
I don't think it would bother me as I'm not a social person anyway I stay to myself. I'd just enjoy the beautiful trucks and sounds that's enough to keep me satisfied.
