The 935 has roughly the same specs and is limited to 77 cars, while the GT2 is limited to 200 examples.
Last year SRO Motorsport introduced the "new" GT2 class. It is for racecars with more power than GT3 cars, but less aero. So the GT2's will be slower, but not necessarily easier to drive.
The GT2 class will only be open to amateur drivers.
The Porsche 991.2 GT2 RS clubsport is the first car for this class. Audi recently introduced their R8 GT2, Ferrari will also join maybe later this year, and 3 more constructors will join next year.

The sound is good, but It should be louder.
When they will be racing with the R8 LMS GT2 you won't hear the Porsche over the sceaming Audi V10.
Oh and it needs flames, like the original 935. :D
The original 935 weren't too loud either. Compared to the screaming 320 turbos or howling 512BB LM Ferraris they were muffled. Lucky enough to experience the group 5 demo at the Goodwood 76MM
It is really loud when you hear them in person, at least when in a grandstand.
@@Law0fRevenge The Bentleys, the Porsches and the AMGs are quite loud too. But yeah, after about 10 hours my ears started to hurt when I was hearing the Lambos and the Audis passing by
They need to be straight piped, with external wastegates dumping to atmosphere, original 935 style. That'd be perfect.
Sad to say this but even a race track have emission regulation and noise regulation so doing that will make the 935 unable to actually race at any famous track

Well actually, they are quite quiet. Sound almost exactly as street legal GT2 RS
Fajar Astanaprima they are actuslly a lot louder than the standard 2rs.

The GT2 revvs nicely and sounds fine. Just abit quiet. The 935 sounds abit louder and more raw. Strange.. 🤔

@@dannitron1934 It's only a concept they made years ago and only showed it this year because of the 50 year anniversary of the 917. They will not put it into production.

Alex Hndr it should be the top class. Way better racing potential than GT3
@@chipattack912 They're slower on track than GT3s though. Less aero = less cornering speed. They're right in between GT3 and GT4.
Nap-0 i couldn’t give less of a shit how fast they are. They’re harder to drive fast, which is what matters.

They need to relax the rules. The cars are clearly evenly paced and this idea of 'gentleman drivers' gives me vibes of the mid sixties with cars such as the 275 Ferrari
