As usual another great video and idea. I love all your creativity. I’m like you and try to use all pieces of fabric. I don’t like waste. Being a faithful follower you’ve got me hooked on your channel.
Thanks Pat. I'm glad to have you hooked🤣
Christine I appreciate your content and these frank, thoughtful tutorials so much. You’re an absolute treasure darling. Thanks so much for being exactly who you are and doing just what you do. Xxx
Thank you so much Cat. That's so lovely🙂
This is great! I just went to a concert and I wish I had a smaller purse to bring with me to just carry my phone/cards/cash/ID. Especially since the venue doesn't allow bigger bags AND I'd rather not having something bulky in a crowded, active concert.
Yes, this would have been a perfect size Mortessa🙂
Love these! Definitely going to make one for me and a couple for my daughters.
Please do! I'm sure they'll love them🙂
Such a handy phone holder!
Should sell well.... You'll also get constructive feedback from your happy campers. 🌈🦋
I hope so Dellka. Thank you🙂
Thank you for this cute little bag tutorial. I really appreciate that you've shared some new techniques. I made something similar last summer as a cross body bag for my daughter who was going to a pop festival. I put a vinyl pocket on the front for her tickets. She loved it.
Happy stitching, Diane
I've been hanging on to some clear vinyl to make some little bags too🙂
Well done Christine. another great gift idea. Best wishes. Margaret
Thanks Margaret🙂
Great project Christine. Good pressies for teenage girls...
They'd be perfect Janet. Thank you😁
You make it look easy. I’m going to try it. My sister would love something like this! Thank you for sharing!
You're very welcome. They really are very easy🙂
Thank you this practical tutorial and also saying your sell price for them. Perhaps call them Buzz Bags? I love the tip for sewing the strap in a loop so it doesn't pull out of the clamp too! I just bought some so really appreciate it. 😊 (mine were called Key Fob Hardware)
Ah yes. Key fobs. My mind went completely blank🤣
@@ChristinesHomeAffairs I think we all have moments like that, lol 🤣
Hi Christine another practical idea they should sell for $20 if they sell well put up to $25 your paying for the hard ware but you never know you must be coming into fall as we are to spring . yah !! Good bye snow take care
That's a good idea Paulene. I'll have to improve my production time too.
Thankfully Summer is gone here. Autumn (Fall) now, and everything is very pleasant🙂
Great idea! I like the options that you presented and the tips with the reason behind them! Excellent tutorial!
Thanks Gloria🙂
really cute it would be nice to show a cell phone in one of your bags
I would have liked to do that too, except I was using mine to film it all. 🙂
Great phone pouch, I use mine all the time! Cards, keys and phone - good to go. I hope they do really well Christine 🙂👍
I hope so too Sue. Thank you😁
Great idea. Place for phone and then another little pocket. Thank you. Love your tutorials, watch for them everyday. Don't want to miss a one. 😊
Thanks so much Karen😁
Great idea Christine - I’m definitely trying this one 👍😊
Have fun with it Christine😁
Cute idea! Love the simplicity and I have a bunch of swach fabrics to use up! ❤
Thanks Janer. I just love sewing fabric swatches😀
This is really great! Couple of thoughts - I love that you are using recycled samples. I worked in furniture sales for a while and upholstery samples were changed out, and I never knew what happened to them! Going to ask around, now! Same with mattress cover samples!
- I don't know if you know this, but @bandolier sells a variety of high end wristlets and crossbody bags -for iPhones mostly. There are a few offerings for Android phones, but not many. You'll not likely guess the price! Suffice it to say theirs have more hardware and a closure on the front pocket. You should easily be able to charge $20-25 for your professionally hand made wristlets.
I would recommend having a crossbody strap for busy phone users. One of our Realtors wears her crossbody strap phone bag whereever she is! It fits down to where the hip bone would be. For slightly built people, it might not fit snugly but that's going to be personal preference.
I will definitely try my hand at this! Thank you for a nicely presenting l alternative!!
Great video as always!
Great idea Gina. Wouldn't have thought of the mattress samples😀
I love this idea. I have a market coming up, I might try to sell them.
Go for it Margaret. I hope they do well for you😁
Thank you for a new take on a popular tutorial. I always enjoy your perspective ❤️
You are so welcome Michelle🙂
That’s a lovely idea,I think they will be a good seller, whatever you call them, phone pouch or that ever, let us know.
Thanks Eve. I'm hoping they'll do well🙂
Just wonderful! Thank you Christine ❤☘️
You are so welcome Tina😁
Those look awesome!
Glad you like them Adam😁
Great for gifts - nice finish as always Christine - hope they sell well for you - keep up the good work with your recycling/upcycling 😁
Thanks so much Lesley😊
Thanks ❤love simple and great looking. 👍 Keep us inspired ✨️ 🙏
Thanks Shelley🙂
They are very cute. ❤
Thanks Leah🙂
You have a knack for sewing and explaining. I enjoy your content. I just wondered if they don’t sell at $29, why not drop to $17 instead of $15?
That's a good question Mayra. Chris and I prefer not to deal with coinage, so price most things in $5 or $10 increments. It's silly really, but just one of our little quirks😁
Another good one for me to try. Thanks for sharing.
Your list must be as long as mine Cynthia🙂
@@ChristinesHomeAffairs It's getting pretty long. I have 8 quilt tops waiting and 1 on the long arm. And I haven't finished the big tote for my Granddaughter birthday just a week out now. And then I spent today making curtains.
I quite enjoy curtains, but they're so time consuming😁
Another great idea...thankyou
Thanks Linda😁
Very practical, thanks for the tutorial
You're very welcome Cinzia🙂
These are great love them ❤. I wish you a great weekend.
Thank you! You too Giovanna😁
Assembly line sewing would be what I would do…..I do understand this is just to show the pattern
Absolutely! I just love having an assembly line and trying to imrove my times. It's my favourite way of sewing🙂
Thank you! You’ve given me an idea how to approach making one for a request I was given.
Glad I could help Loraine😁
These would work for your leather pieces, also
Great job! I always like projects that can be used. As always, your work is so professional. I think I will make some of these as gifts and to sell at craft festivals. This would also be great as a ‘necessities’ crossbody mini bag. This would keep your necessities safe and leave you hands free too. Hello from Mississippi USA.
Hi Karon. I think these would make great gifts too😁
Thank you very much!😊
You're welcome Patti😊
They look great! Question: what would you make with suede fabric? Ideas welcome. I have a huge roll of lovely brown suede fabric waiting to be used.
I have some suede type fabric swatches to use up Gigi. I'll see what I can come up with.
I made several ipad/tablet bags that had a suede feel to them that sold well. I think the giant utility bag would also look good in suede.😁 Both videos are in the sew to sell playlist.
@@ChristinesHomeAffairs I will check them out, thank you. I was also thinking perhaps your cross body purse would work well.
I think they'd be perfect Gigi😁
Very interesting, thank you for sharing, I am sure many would benefit from having these.x Hope your well. Do you need a sever to do this. I do not have one.. still getting my head around the sewing machine, hehe😊
You don't need a serger Karen. You can just use the zigzag on your machine instead. I'll do this video as a lined version hopefully soon😀
@@ChristinesHomeAffairs thanks for info. Take care.
For me the wristlet style doesn't sell, but very good way to use with smaller swatches.
It's the first time for me Lori. Here's hoping they sell😀
What are the four buttons above your needle that you keep hitting? I have never seen anything like that before. Also, can you link your marking pencil in the description, please? I would really like to get one of those. Finally, thank you for showing us how to make this wristlet. I just scored about 20 free sample packs of fabric (I picked them up yesterday) and this is a perfect project for the smaller pieces. Thank you so much.
That's awesome Karen. The button I keep pressing is my reverse button. The pen is just a fade out pen that you can get from most stores 😀
Nice bags😊, thank you yet again! Which type of label do you use? The printed or woven, cotton or satin? I see the cotton printed ones can only be washed on 30 degrees. I got the satin printed, but don’t like how they sew on, tend to bulk up a bit, so wanted to get some cotton next time. Blessings from 🇳🇴 Norway
Hi Solveig. I use the woven labels from Wunderlabel😀
I would love to purchase one of those. Is there a way for your RUclips fans to purchase your items?
I haven't put these on my website yet, but if you're keen, just email me and I can send pics of the ones I have in stock. I do post all over the world Penny, but postage might be costly😁
First, congratulations on 53000 subscribers. 🥂🎉
Thanks for another good idea.
After two months, have you already sold some?
Thank you Sybille. I've only sold two so far. I had a look at them this week and think they're a little lost where they are in the shop. I'll try a better spot for them with better signage too. This quarter is also our quietest for the year, so that can impact the sales😀
Hi. Where do you get your sample swatches?
Patricia, you'll find some useful videos in my "free fabric" playlist😁
I love all your projects n I love to watch how you make them.I don’t like the sewing in fast speed though it gets me unable to watch you sew properly.
I'll try to slow it down a bit Lucille. Thank you.😀
🥰🦋🌈🦋🥰
My wife says please can you do a video of a shopping bag that folds into itself carrier bag style?
Of course Andrew. I have two videos already for foldable bags. Here's the link. ruclips.net/p/PLwdRgjJztIb0Ybf3JzLWK9vQR7sRQeImU
If they don't suit, let me know what type she'd like, and I'll see what I can come up with😁
@@ChristinesHomeAffairs Brilliant thank you. Sorry thought I had messaged you earlier but can't see it so must have forgotten to press send!
Andrew, You had me thinking, so I did another foldable bag today. You'll find it in my most recent upload.😀
@@ChristinesHomeAffairs She wants to do that one as well!
These will be nice for those who use cell phones. We don't have a signal here; so, I don't have a cell phone (I still use a land line).
Oh wow, I don't think I'd survive without mine Arvetta. 😁
🪡🪡🪡🪡🪡🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂💗💗💗💗💗😉
Thanks Joy😁
I don’t like seeing the strap sewn serger thread or the opening serger thread. I’d fold it down twice it looks more expensive and better sewn…personal preface
I tend to agree Caren. I prefer clean hems, but for this one I wanted something a little more industrial. I'll probably do a lined version soon🙂
