This is the most relevant song to my life right now... and it's been in my playlist for weeks, without me knowing what it was about. This is beautiful alignment. "I'll... cast off the present, I'll head forwards" This line made me think of how the singer wants to do emotional, beautiful things as well as physical ones. She wants to spend the night watching fireworks--a physical activity--but more than that, she wants her feelings to reach him, she wants to experience an intimate moment with him, and she wants to be together with him.
