Well, Brisket (Depending on the meat and whether you hunted for it or bought it) can be in the Freezer for a LONG time. Same with (At least) Venison burger, which can be in there for a few years (IF VACCUM SEALED)

Given Jack’s own health concerns, and the fact that he can no longer use his right arm properly, you’d think that he’d perhaps have at least done a few veggie options by now.

At least this one is technically safe to eat. It's a lot better than the times where he's eaten almost raw food.

He's also fortunate that the rest of his faculties seem fine. He can walk, talk with no fog or aphasia, no drooping in the face, etc. Just that bum arm. I thought maybe he was recovering from an arm injury.

I've thrown together meals based on the weirdest ingredients, basically whatever is left, and this could work. This could be even easier (lazier) if he got the portions correctly sized and named. He basically made a bad chili with taco seasoning.
I always have a bag of meatballs in the freezer for fast dinners...spaghetti, teriyaki meatballs, meatball sandwiches...so I understand what he was going for here. And I've also thrown dishes together using the odds and ends that I have in the fridge or freezer, but I try to make it a balanced meal.
But, this didn't work. Instead of packaged taco seasoning, he could have cut way down on the salt by using actual spices instead of a seasoning pack that's just a salt bomb, and he could have made it a more complete meal by serving it over rice with a veggie (any veggie...even just some frozen peas) on the side.
Meat, tomato and cheese obviously always works

If you are looking for an actually cheap and easy recipe with the meatballs here is what I do:
Get a pack of kings Hawaiian rolls
Cut them in half horizontally
Grease a 9x9 baking dish and lay down the bread
Top with meat balls and marinara sauce
Sprinkle with some parmesan and mozzarella
Top with other half of bread
Bake at 400 for 9-12 minutes
Let cool
Flip onto a cutting board
Optionally top with parsley and serve with extra marina
Easy pull apart meatball sliders!
Ya know, unlike many of Jack's other "dishes" this is actually safe to eat, because those are pre-cooked meatballs, but when he scooped out that pile of greasy, cheese covered meatballs, for some reason it put me off my stomach. And I had Pizza Hut today.

The fact that meatballs and gravy was one of your recommendations at the end for what he *_could_* have done gave me nostalgia like crazy. My mom used to always make that for her and I when I was growing up for something simple. Always with rice and always awesome. Not a not of people ever mention it and it's an underrated classic.

Usually those frozen meatballs taste terrible and are full of fat and sodium. Its not that hard to make homemade meatballs, no point in being lazy on that part lol.
For a cooking show, there`s not a whole lot actual fresh ingredients being used. He`s using highly processed garbage. Its just junk food, how does this even count as "cooking". Throwing a tomato here and there on top of 5 jars of canned waste does not count as cooking.

When Jack says sauce and wears his hat backwards and lies through his teeth, he seems much younger.
The fact that he spends the time browning the meatballs, he could have just made proper filling. If he HAD to use the meatballs, let them thaw enough that you can use one of those ground meat breaker/mashers, brown the meat, add rice, veggies, seasoning... Then quickly wrap and assemble. It's not difficult to make echiladas! They're like Mexican lasagna (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤ and so good!

In Costa Rica, enchiladas are puff pastry with spicy filling. But these are rather unknown compared to the Mexican enchiladas.

@@brbrdeng9122 It's easy, though I don't have the recipe. As I said, it's out of puff pastry, so it's a snack and not a full mean. The puff pastry is shaped like a small pocket, and the filling is mostly with finely diced potatoes. No idea about what peppers, but feel free to experiment.

I actually have done my own meatball casserole which was like an Italian dish but first of all I would never ever use frozen meatballs, I made them fresh from scratch and secondly calling Jack a chef is like calling Jeffrey Dahmer a pacifist.

Jacks kids: my father is such a good chef that he only received 4 strokes, obtained salmonella 3-4 times and can barley use his right arm! Not bad for cooking for years!

Honestly, of all the meals Jack has made, this one looks the most edible, but of course, that's not saying much.
The one saving grace are that these frozen packs of meatballs are already precooked so there's no way he could possibly undercook them
It's amazing how Jack went from having a healthy skin complexion complete with a naturally colored beard to now looking as if he's pushing over 90 and moderately showing the aging effects. It's hell man.

I may be wrong but if I remembered correctly, Jack had a stroke some time back and probably lost some neuro/motor movement.
He's on stroke the third so he has a dead hilshire farm summer sausage arm, also too lazy to do the rehabilitation therapy or PT properly so likely he'll never regain use of it.
@@InvadeNormandy I had a right side flaccid stroke (ultimately due to cancer) from my shoulder down. It was back in Feb. '22, and I worked my butt off in therapy. I have a little outside weakness but full mobility of my arm and leg. Even doing immunotherapy and radiation, I'm completely mobile. Everyone is different but if he can do his little show and prepare for it, then he was just to lazy to do the therapy.

There are people out there with large families , buying in bulk is ALWAYS a good idea , even if you are a single person , its called planning ahead . also some people buy in bulk , like the 5 pound bag of cheese , and separate it into smaller portions , and freeze it for fututre use , its NOT a dumb thing to do . i buy in bulk , and i shop for two people . i do meal prep and therefore need large amount of single ingrediants to make it work .

My running theory is that Jack never finds anything wrong with his food because he genuinely doesn’t think there is anything wrong. Hear me out, look at him, he’s high asf in every CWJ episode.
Get the meatballs add spaghetti sauce and simmer balls in the sauce for at least 30 minutes. Get hoagie buns, cut open line with cheese and bake until toasted and the cheese is melted. Throw balls in hoagie buns. Keep balls in refrigerator and reheat as necessary. Balls will soak up more sauce flavor as it sits. Boom. Fast. Easy and edible.
I think he was actually sad when trying the meatballs, maybe I misheard him but he said “my mother used to make.” so if I heard him right he might have been emotional.
It probably doesn't taste that good but it lowkey kinda looks good💀💀

It is cheaper to buy a giant bag of cheese. You can put the cheese in smaller bags and freeze them. It is still ok for cooking.

I doubt he's freezing the cheese. I'm pretty sure with the way he "cooks", he's using that whole 5 pound bag of cheese before it even has a chance to go bad. Which is scary.
Several years ago, I tried his other "Lazy Man's Enchiladas" recipe, the one full of tortilla chips from the video featuring a lady he went to church with, and it was the worst, most wasteful thing I've ever cooked. No amount of sauce could make that vaguely corn flavoured cement go down easier. I'm not surprised he cut out the corn entirely this time around.
I think it's important to point out that Italians have a dish that is covered in Pizza sauce and it's called Steak Pizzaiola to us Italiano americanos
It's also delicious, but without 8x your normal sodium dose.
August, if you're making nachos and there's more than one person, you'd be surprised how fast you go through cheese. Too little cheese means it'll not cover enough of the nachos and could even burn :D

@@FishAesthetic I wasn't saying anything about the quality... though using fat free or vegan cheese would be pretty bad, but if you don't have a proper amount of cheese, it'll turn crispy and burn.
That being said, I'm not defending this particular meal, it doesn't look that good :P

I come from a family of 5 kids, and lemme tell you, we do eat a lottt of cheese. also you can open the pack and divide the cheese in smaller portions and put it in the freezer, so that it is preserved and you have cheese for a lot longer and for kinda cheap actually.
