  • Col de Dame Blanc is a variety we've grown for over 10 years. Our tree has grown slowly for us but has been very productive. Please see one of our 2019 videos of this older tree here: • Col de Dame Blanc Fig We have sold cuttings from this tree for many years but have been unable to meet demand, leaving many customers disappointed. In 2018 we grafted a cutting from this tree onto Janice rootstock. In 2020 it has grown vigorously but formed most of its fruit too late in the season to ripen. However, we were able to pick a ripe fruit today September 22, 2020, and it was an excellent fig, as expected. The fruit had an intense berry flavor and moderate sweetness. We expect to have a better supply of cuttings in our next cutting sale planned for sometime in January 2021.

I agree with your theory. I have seen the same thing. Also true for stronger suckers!

The climate and land look very ideal to grow figs. Where is it?

Do you have any recommendation on fig variety that can grow well in tropical country which has a lot of rain, high humidity (70-90%) and moist land?

No we do not. We grew it for a few years but it did not perform well for us and did not seem to be popular with others so we replaced it with another variety to try out.
