I flew in the HU-16s while I was in the US COAST GUARD during the 1970s out of Elizabeth City, NC. This AC has had the radar and loran C stations removed as well as the radio rack with all of the Electronics. I was an AT (Aviation Electronics Technician), and flew many hours on the old Goats. There is/was one at Pensacola Naval Air Station static display that was from Elizabeth City Airstation. I had flew many hours on it with Master Chief Greathouse, enlisted pilot.
I was blessed at work being allowed to do fisheries patrols over Georges Bank and The Gulf of Maine in one of these. I flew in them from 1977 until they stopped flying and were replaced with a jet. Nice flying in something that had a bilge pump!
I lived Miami in the 60's near the Opa Locks airport Coast Guard station. They would fly their Albatrosses over our house before landing. They sometimes (not every time) were so loud they would scare my mother to death.
The two planes I need to fly in before my time is up; the Albatross and the Goose. Awesome video...
This plane looks well kept and beautiful! Always wondered what they look like inside.
Finally, I always wanted to see this airplane, thank you so much for sharing this stunning video
Thanks for watching the video!

Wasn't expecting to see the bird I always see while teaching students down in KKLS! Glad to see it's in better shape inside than I assumed.
It's in really good shape
My life would be complete if I owned that plane .
Same with me👍
The possibilities
Amazing range (4400km) but pretty slow. Is there a better plane of similar size that can land in choppy water/rough seas?
Great video with no stupid music. Thanks for that!!!
No problem!

I was a flight mechanic in the usaf we made a water pick up of a navy pilot doing the vitamin war in 1966 near Hanoi
neat little sleep spot on the nose
The interior looks comfortable and the instruments are very nice and classics!!!. Thumb up!!.
Yes it is a very nice interior and cockpit
What an amazing tour in details ❤❤❤❤
Thanks for sharing such an awesome video 👌🙏
Thanks for visiting
The Grumman looks like it is in good shape. Does a private company maintain it?
This is my if i ever win the lottery dream
Nice bird🎉
Great video! I love the Albatross.
Thank for watching the video!

Haha, poor mother.
There is one on static display at Pensicola and at Cape Cod!
Nice Albatross Plane! Fantastic Video Bro!
Thanks!
Nice video!
Thanks!
The Grumman Albatross you board from the back like the ATR planes.
All good things in life are boarded from the back!
Beautiful
Thanks!
What dials are missing on the console some seem to be missing?
i want one so bad
If I bought this, the first thing I'd do is blend the front window to match the contour of the nose. Right now, it looks like a snot bubble.
Great video
Thanks!
Super video my friend 😉👍
Thanks!
Photos would nave been a whole lot better with additional light source. Sun shine on the Captains control wheel just doesn’t get it. 😢
So what’s behind the two doors in the back? Is there a bathroom? Couldn’t you open the door so we can see it???
One of them was the washroom.
what's with the astronaut signatures at 1:08?
Don't know❓
oh the expendables plane without the bang bangs and with civilian seating instead of the military fit out
Eh, hahaha, maintainers tagging! I will gladly take out your instruments! Let's see a Glass cockpit, touchscreen breakers, the whole 9!
What does it sell for? $5 million or less. Needs interiors and avionics, new engines, and put 3,000 of them in the sky. #make it great again.
I hate it when the airplanes have missing dials and makes you wonder what they took out
What's the cost to own?
New ones are going to be built in Australia in a few years w turbines
Does it have oxygen supply
❓
is it for sale?
I don't know
Ready to fly aircraft
Haha, YES!
