I don’t understand why you comment on Zhao Liying ‘s fashion and EI as inferior to Yang Mi, it is totally wrong and old fashion interpretation.
1- What you refer to Zhao Liying as low EI ( Emotional Intelligence) called frankness, individuality, awarness , stabled mental status( not playing with people inteligent to please them and pretending). If Zhao Liying really had Low EI how she is able to portrait such full characters with her fresh and eye catching acting? Why these with high EI can’t?!!
2- fashion: you think Yang Mi’s fashion is more eye catching than Zhao Liying? You are wrong, Yang Mi has never impressed me because there is something much important is missing on her : “ modern interpretation of woman” pluse her poor acting skill. But Zhao Liying simply can bring fashion to other level, more modern and progressive.
But in general, Zhao Liying doesn’t need to be fashion icon because she is an artist and artist talks by her work and masterpiece not her fashion.
On the other hand, being shy in red carpet is nothing to be mocked as most creative people have special deep personality which is in contrast with crowd. because crowd is deceptive but not spiring
It is other party strategy to compare these two while there is nothing to be compared. Yang Mi is business woman and Zhao Lying is artist, that is all.

@@MhrBan-to4bu A lot of channels create comparisons like the one between Yang Mi and Zhao Liying to help drive traffic to their channel. It's click bait. I don't care about the comparisons. They both have their different styles. For the first time I've watched something Yang Mi acted in and it was Fox Spirit Matchmaker. I'm not impressed. She comes across as stiff and blank faced to me. That was just the first two episodes. Is this normal acting for her? I was expecting an aura of regality, nobility, power and authority from the character considering she's supposed to be the leader of her people and the highest authority. That's not what I got. 🤔🤔

She can be successful business woman but absolutely not an actress. Problem with Chinese entertainment industry is they care about beautiful face instant of great performance
@@user-jq7ed3sy6d I’m an international casual fan of Zhao Liying and Lin Gengxin due to having watched their amazing performance and chemistry in Princess Agents and more so with The Legend of Shen Li.
I eventually came to know of Yang Mi due to all the comparisons between her and Zhao Liying. I was interested in watching Fox Spirit Matchmaker as I’ve read and watched the animated versions. I was hoping for some epic performances from the two leads but wasn’t impressed from the two episodes I watched. I was bored and Yang Mi’s acting didn’t hold my attention the way it should.
Compare her acting with Angelina Jolie playing Maleficent or Michelle Pfeiffer was the queen in Maleficent 2 or ad Catwoman. Michelle knocked her role as Catwoman out of the park with her performance.
It’s like in the first two episodes of Fox Spirit Matchmaker she only had one look. Blank. Maybe she’s trying for aloof and high and mighty but she comes across as blank to me. Maybe it’s just me as I’ve only seen her in Fox Spirit with 2 episodes and tons of advertisements. Maybe it’s affecting my evaluation. 🧐🧐

I doubt Zhang Ziyi needs anyone to be her "foil." She can stand and shine on her own. All of the movies I've seen her in, she's put in a solid and stellar performance. I loved her in House of Flying Daggers (loved the Echo drum dance she did), Crouching Tiger and Hidden Dragon, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon Sword of Destiny, Memoirs of a Geisha, Hero, Rush Hour 1 and 2, The Legend of Zhu to name a few.
It's a pity Zhang Ziyi starred in such a lackluster movie considering the response. However, I don't question her acting chops though. I already know she has the credentials.
As for Yang Mi, why does it seem like she was trying to upstage the cast that came representing Jiaoyuan Lane? they are wore dark colors and she wore silver. Looks like a misstep there.
As for Zhao Liying, why go if you're going to be mocked and ridiculed for weak English skills? I suppose an interpreter could have been brought but would that have been ok to do? Would she have been ridiculed even more if she did so and showed up? 🤔🤔
