Ha ha, good job you didn’t eat the crisps straight away. I made the Carolyn pjs with short sleeved shirt and shorts with 2.5 m of fabric. Viscose would be great!
Lovely fabric and I think a jumpsuit would work well too. I’ve made the Carolyn a few times in cotton lawn which works so well for the collar. Those pjs take so much fabric but some Carolyn pj bottoms and a simple top would be fab, especially with a pop of red. You could even wear them casually in the day. Xx
Ok I’m back… why not make a saltwater slip nighty, or T-shirt length with some basic elasticated short/knee length bottoms? I’m having trouble with today myself… it should be a Thursday because I’ve never gotten the hang of Thursdays 🙄🫣🤣
The Carolyn PJ's would just be wonderfully drapey in viscose. I say go for it. I can't wait to see them. I've got a pair in lawn that are almost done, but I'm stuck on the collar.
Ooo I love a puffy sleeve and I am quite broad too. Loved that dress and fabric from last month. The AA blouse is gorgeous. Dee got the peach colourway and she loved the crisps. I loved her candle 😂
You know, I've been wearing my double gauze Agnes PJs (with short bottoms) which you made a hefty proportions of the sewing world make up. 😆😆 (no? just me?) I could see that fabric in Agnes PJs. Which would probably start a run on nautical-print viscose hahahha. It is a lovely fabric and piping would compliment it very well! 😘
I live by the seaside so could get away with that novelty print. I automatically though of the by hand London Anna dress full length with the split and then a matching on for my daughter ❤
What a lovely box! I haven’t made the Carolyn, but I think the Sew Liberated Nocturne pajamas would look great. The top of that pattern is also designed to be used as a normal top, if I remember correctly. Have fun sewing!
Looks like a great box this month & pjs would look super in that fabric, especially if you used red piping. Look forward to seeing which pattern you decide on.❤
You just HAVE to watch this back, with the subtitles on…. At 5mins 54 seconds… 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣. As well as this I thought that you were going to say your savoury snack was some Bird Seed… Oh dear 🥲🥲😅😅😅 I’m crying… Ok I’m heading back for the rest… xx
I’ve made two sets of Caroline pj out the viscose fabric with piping for summer. One of my pairs I sewed with red piping, loved how they came out. So differently you should sew them up. Dark blue with red piping will be perfect. I received the beige color fabric will sew a shirt for my son-in-law and palazzo pant for my daughter. This color suit them better than me. Fabric is fabulous.
I got the grey colourway, I have to say the print is more muted on the grey and less in your face and I love it, not sure what I will make with it yet but I have seen lots of people suggesting PJs, it would be a lovely nightdress actually ...hmmm now you have me thinking!
My next pjs are going to be the safiya trousers t&tb and the seasons of east spring in London. I don't see any reason you couldn't make pjs in viscose. I guess you'd have to interface the collar and placket 😍 Kelly xxx
Every time I watch a one of these subscription boxes I go to the site to see if I can buy one. I almost didn't do it this time.... I'm now delightedly awaiting my first box :0) I think I'm going to make a summer dressing gown/ robe
I just wouldn’t make pyjamas with viscose as it will get very creased in bed then need loads of ironing after they are washed. Just my thoughts. You could make Safira trousers or another wide leg pattern as will go well with white or red. You might also get a cami or whatever to wear with them. A bit novelty but fun for holidays. 😊
Great box once again. In my head I was seeing a sailor type dress, with the big collar. Probably not for most people. It would also really look fab as the lining in a navy blazer. I'm sure what ever you decide to make it will be perfect for you.
I could tell by your eyes and complexion that navy would suit you. I would make either the jammies or a casual shorts and top for summer. I love the detail on your blouse and thank you for the idea about joining Craftsy in your previous video
For pyjamas, I use the T&TB Freya trousers and the Donny Shirt, together they make agreat PJ set. My favourite pair is in viscose and they are so lovely and soft for bed 😊 you could pipe the collar, sleeves, hems and pockets too 😊
I love the Carolyn PJs but I’m not sure if piping on viscose would work out and give that lovely crisp piped finish you get using cotton lawn 😬 My all time favourite viscose PJ s are an Ogden Cami top with some wide leg elastic waist bottoms ❤️
Hi Ruan, PJ's is a great idea. I received the same colorway. Funny thing is I was in a hurry when I opened my box. I looked quickly at the candle, thread and fabric. Never knew there was a cross-stitch kit until I saw your video, as I didn't actually take the fabric out of the box. Cool surprise from your video. I loved your dress from last month's box. I have a about the Christmas Advent boxes. About when do they become available to order. I am hoping to get one this year. Thanks.
Navy really is a great colour on you! Really draws attention to your eyes! You could always make some pj trousers/shorts and make a plain top in a similar fabric if your worried about not having enough 😊
You can make the Carolyns out of viscose I prefer cotton to sleep in. Viscose will be fine to make them but there will be some fiddly sections. I suggest doing flat piping - same results but less hassle.
I live by the sea so this is completely acceptable fabric for me to wear here without being novelty so I'm going to copy Andrea and do the avenir jumpsuit. But pj s would be lovely .
I have the sand colour. It's not something that I would usually wear, so I am trying to decide what to make with mine. Having 3m is great, gives way more choice. I think the navy would look lovely as pj's
I have some Caroline PJs made from viscose, and they’re my favorite! Putting red piping on yours would be beautiful. You might want to out starch on the fabric or maybe even use a gel bath. I can’t wait till my box arrives! 😘
I got navy too and frankly couldn’t be happier! It feels like butter! Amazing! Loving the crossstitch to which will come with me to our little house in Filey! I am going to make another SizeMeSewing Vienne dress, my current fave summer dress!
I’m really not loving the nautical theme 🙈😭 I got the grey colour version and the fabric is lovely quality but it’s just not my style. If anyone wants to buy my fabric off me then let me know.
I think pyjamas would look amazing. I can see it with red piping and red buttons ♥️
Ha ha, good job you didn’t eat the crisps straight away. I made the Carolyn pjs with short sleeved shirt and shorts with 2.5 m of fabric. Viscose would be great!
Just go for it they will look fabulous 🎉💙
Yes! I've made Carolyn PJ's in a viscose and they felt so lovely to wear. You should go for it!! Great video, thank you. x
Xx
Love that fabric! I, personally, would make a dress or flowy pants and top, but you do you😊
I always think pyjamas 🤣 that fabric would make a great pair with red or Kelly green piping, but it would make a beautiful robe too. 😍⚓😍
Ok I’m back… why not make a saltwater slip nighty, or T-shirt length with some basic elasticated short/knee length bottoms? I’m having trouble with today myself… it should be a Thursday because I’ve never gotten the hang of Thursdays 🙄🫣🤣
Ohooo. I hope I get the navy color way as well. It’s the perfect fabric for cruising! I can see a dress in that fabric or or even just a blouse.
Yellow would be a lovely accent color with the navy as well
The Carolyn PJ's would just be wonderfully drapey in viscose. I say go for it. I can't wait to see them. I've got a pair in lawn that are almost done, but I'm stuck on the collar.

Can’t beat double gauze PJs 🤪
Hi Ruan I’ve made the Carolyn PJs in a viscose and they are lovely. I agree the box is amazing - the gifts are fabulous!
I live by the seaside so could get away with that novelty print. I automatically though of the by hand London Anna dress full length with the split and then a matching on for my daughter ❤

Red piping would look great just go for it.

😂😂😂
Who knew candles could do that? 😆
@@lw1829 well in Oman they use smoke to ‘wash’ theirs… so there could be something in it! Let’s just hope there’s no poly cotton going on… 😂🤣😂
That gave me a chuckle!
😂😂😂😂😂
What beautiful fabric, Jimjams would be lovely but what about a Charlie Caftan just throwing something else into the mix 😊

Ooh that’s really good to know. Thank you x

Yes, great fabric for PJs. Either shirt and shorts or longer trousers and cami. xx
My next pjs are going to be the safiya trousers t&tb and the seasons of east spring in London. I don't see any reason you couldn't make pjs in viscose. I guess you'd have to interface the collar and placket 😍 Kelly xxx

Oh I’m so happy for you. Yay!🥳

In my head I can see Reeta shirt dress. I would choose nice wee white rope string to go with it. But Carolyn pyjamas sound like a lovely idea too.
That was my first thought too 😊
I could tell by your eyes and complexion that navy would suit you. I would make either the jammies or a casual shorts and top for summer. I love the detail on your blouse and thank you for the idea about joining Craftsy in your previous video

I got the navy colourway and I’m really happy with it, I love Andrea’s Avenir jumpsuit so I may copy her. Pyjamas is a great idea. ❤😊
I love the Carolyn PJs but I’m not sure if piping on viscose would work out and give that lovely crisp piped finish you get using cotton lawn 😬 My all time favourite viscose PJ s are an Ogden Cami top with some wide leg elastic waist bottoms ❤️

Lovely plan ! Not sure fancy piping in viscose though! A charlie caftan or similar might be nice too ?
I have the sand colour. It's not something that I would usually wear, so I am trying to decide what to make with mine. Having 3m is great, gives way more choice.
I think the navy would look lovely as pj's
What about the esti set for lounging at home?
I have some Caroline PJs made from viscose, and they’re my favorite! Putting red piping on yours would be beautiful. You might want to out starch on the fabric or maybe even use a gel bath. I can’t wait till my box arrives! 😘
Ooh thank you!!
xXX👍👍👍
Beautiful blouse!!!
I think the nautical fabric would look great as Palazzo pants.
I've just made similar jim jams in a viscose. they turned out lovely. 'I'd say go for it!'
Lovely fabric. 💙🧶🌈🍓
PJ’s are a great idea! I got the peach colourway, although it not necessarily a colour I would choose, pj’s might be a good use for it 😍
I got navy too and frankly couldn’t be happier! It feels like butter! Amazing! Loving the crossstitch to which will come with me to our little house in Filey! I am going to make another SizeMeSewing Vienne dress, my current fave summer dress!
Ooh fab idea!
❤
No, the vicose will be great in the Carolyn Pajamas. I made a pair in cotton and thought viscose or other slinky fabric would be much nicer.
Instead of the expected red piping maybe magenta or pinks
can anyone help me, Ruan had a lovely fabric with hidden leopards on a recent fabric she showed and I can't find the episode it was on
Sorry for the delay. The fabric was from Sister Mintaka 👍🏼
How about a Donny top and PJs from Tilly and the Buttons! 🐾🐾
I mean PJ bottoms!
I’m really not loving the nautical theme 🙈😭 I got the grey colour version and the fabric is lovely quality but it’s just not my style. If anyone wants to buy my fabric off me then let me know.
Pockets on pjs??? I only like side pockets or none!
