DiDonato is a super star.. she has achieved a technical singing status very few singers achieve in life - her Stuarda was a technical miracle still not with the Heart of Dame Janet Baker.. No more roles that everybody has sung pls.. (no more cenerentolas, rosinas etc)... more big Handel, more Donizetti, even Bellini (that will be the real test).. I fell in love with the variations she wrote and sang in Ariodante's Scherza infida (a role that will belong forever to von Otter) cause besides virtuosic they had Big Heart in them (not just going up and down as most virtuosos do and which totally kills Bel Canto cause no one is interested into acrobatics without Soul in them)

Singing at this weight suits them both to a T. The effortlessness means they can more musical and moving. I don't like them in heavier stuff because they start to become generic like almost everyone else at the Met.
