- I've been promising this tutorial for a few months now, so here it is! I am still a little loopy after my second Moderna shot, so hopefully it is relatively easy to follow. I know I say it a bunch, but I really highly recommend practicing the smaller mushroom before moving onto this one!

I 100% agree on your string theory. Clear chord tends to not tie or stay tied easily too
you can also literally still see it bc it gets stained and it's all shiny
For me I do a double square knot, then use clear nail polish, and then use one more square knot
@@boop1341 that’s wayyy too much for me, i can do two surgical knots and it’s practically unbreakable with my cloth covered string, i agree it’s good for certain things but imo cloth covered string is just SO much better
@@zombruffit shreds after using scissors to them. Not good quality. If it’s “too much” then you aren’t really a true Kandi kid to appreciate the time and effort it takes to make Kandi. Take the couple extra seconds, yes literally seconds, it takes to tie one extra little knot it won’t harm you to use glue or clear nail polish to make it stay. Or just learn to tie them off correctly. Been raving 10 years and I’ve never had a clear string break on me not once. Never untied not once
@@yas7267 dude I do not care how long youve been raving, ive been making kandi forever, all i said was its too much for me and i think cloth covered string is better, no need to take this personally
Watching the elastic slowly change colors over time was so satisfying

I crochet mushroom necklaces. Watching you make this was super interesting because it is exactly how I crochet them, just instead of beads I make loops. I never thought about it like that.

i made one of these for my mom and it’s so funny looking bc it’s all floppy and i’ll be sure to do this again with different beads but i just had so much fun tysm
you probably needed thicker string, that happened to me when i made my first multi stich cuff i used thin string lol

I have to say. I made this a few months back when I was new to beading and yeah I made mistakes and got a lil lost and confused but I was DETERMINED! You know what! It turned out great! Yesterday and today I made 9...all fun and different. I plan to wear them to my next local community event and hopefully trade them all away!

Honestly love this tho. thank you! I am going to have so much fun making it and you've really inspired me to start making kandi and it has been so much fun. I now have a full bucket of just a bunch of kandi and my family is very annoyed every time I run out of my room like "MOM LOOK WHAT I MADE *gremlin laughter*"😅

This tutorial is great so far I'm just a bit confused on some parts as I can't really see the mushroom so that's a bit tricky but overall it's a tutorial that works! Gonna make this to hold my chapstick lol
Idk but the sound the string makes when in slides through the bead is so satisfying

I made one! It was easy to follow, but I got lost around when you were putting the big bead on, so I did my own thing and it turned out really nice!

I made one of these with a rainbow cap, and although I had to improvise with the big bead and small beads, I turned out really well 😁

you can make this just a normal 3d mushroom right? like could i attach the stem all the way around then tie it off?

Has anyone tried this with fishing line type clear string? I don’t have a needle big enough for my elastic string 😭
I have that type of string and used it for the project because I too don’t have the kandi needle and it works okay so far.

how many red beads does this use? i’m debating on which beads to use for the cap and i don’t know if i’ll have enough of certain colors
its about 200 beads for the stem and 150 for the cap

Ik this video is old but i was wondering if you could figure out how to make one of these but big enough for an inhaler- i tried to make it big enough and thought i was doing well untill i had to make the cap, i couldn't get it to work so i gave up and cut it all up. I really want to make one of these for a renaissance fair im going to, and all i can really think of thatd be useful for me would be my inhaler :(

estimate around 200 white and 150 red (or whatever color you choose)
Brooo I’m so mad and sad rn I was making the top and ran out of the first red I used half way through so I used a lighter red then after i finished I tied a second knot then it snapped 😭then I fixed it and tied the knot then it broke again and I was like if this breaks again I’m done then like the main string broke and I’m so mad this took me like an hour so it could completely break I’m gonna redo the top tomorrow since it’s 3am and I still have the bottom part 😭😭😭😭 PLUR❤

The needle just helps to make threading the string through beads easier. They're just plastic yarn needles
